On May 15, 1990, Yadlapalli Santhosh was born to Mr. Yadlapalli Venkateshwarlu and Mrs. Yadlapalli Seetha in the serene town of Manikyaram, located in the Khammam Urban Mandal of Khammam district, Telangana, India.

His educational odyssey began in 2005 at Margadarshi School in Ellandu, where he pursued his SSC Standard. He completed his intermediate studies at Kakateeya Junior College in Khammam from 2006–2008. 

Venturing into higher education, Yadlapalli Santhosh graduated from EV Reddy College, Kodad District, from 2011–2014.

NSUI 2008 Joining Date:

• • Yadlapalli Santhosh embarked on his journey in student politics by joining the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) in 2008.
  • 2012-2014 NSUI Khammam City President:
  • Demonstrating leadership qualities, he served as the President of NSUI in Khammam City from 2012 to 2014. During this period, he played a pivotal role in representing student interests and fostering positive change within the city.

• 2014-2018 NSUI District President Elected – United Khammam:

Santhosh triumphed in the 2014 NSUI Elections, being elected district president with 4000 votes

During the 2014 NSUI elections, Santhosh emerged victorious by a substantial margin by being elected district president with the backing of more than 4000 student ballots. The outcome of this election emphasized his widespread appeal and the confidence students placed in his talent for guiding others. As the recently elected district president, Santhosh undertook a pivotal responsibility to advocate for the concerns and interests of the student body. Progression to National Leadership: My Journey as NSUI Interim National Secretary (2018-2020) 

I was privileged to hold the position of Interim National Secretary for the NSUI from 2018 to 2020. This critical position served as a significant milestone in my advancement to a national-level standing within the organization. This experience demonstrated my proficiency in effectively overseeing more extensive obligations. 

Election Success: NSUI’s Youth Leaders Emerge with Broad Support

In  2020, Yadlapalli Santhosh bravely entered the Youth Congress elections, demonstrating a commitment to political engagement and a desire to represent the interests and aspirations of young people in the political arena.

Santhosh demonstrated his proactive nature while serving in the Khammam district as a Youth Congress member by paying a personal visit to the camp office. Unbothered, he stormed the office and strongly demanded employment notifications, emphasizing the critical nature of addressing unemployment issues. Santhosh’s pronounced involvement in advocating for employment prospects exemplifies his steadfast dedication to the betterment of the community. On the first day of Santosh’s presidency of NSUI, he addressed student concerns personally in the streets. During his travelogue briefing with KTR, Santosh strongly addressed issues including unemployment and advocated for an expansion of job notifications. Ex gratia payments were awarded to students who passed away tragically as a result of the pressures associated with mandatory education at a private institution. The purpose of this financial aid was to offer consolation to the bereaved families and demonstrate recognition of the psychological strain endured by the students. The ex gratia disbursements demonstrated a compassionate approach towards the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the suicides, underscoring the acknowledgement of the critical nature of such periods, which required both financial and emotional support. The initiative emphasized a dedication to confronting the wider concerns associated with mental health and academic pressure, recognizing the duty to offer assistance and comfort to individuals impacted by such traumatic occurrences.Santhosh Advocates Fee Reduction for Equality in College Education Access

Santhosh Garu safeguards students by shutting down Unauthorized College in Khammam.

Santhosh Garu was very important in protecting the health and safety of students because he shut down the illegal Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Khammam. He took action to make sure the kids were safe because he knew the risks and worries that could come with an unauthorized school. By shutting down the illegal college, Santhosh Garu showed that he was serious about keeping educational standards and putting the needs of the students first. His action was meant to protect the students’ academic goals and careers, which could have been hurt by the problems with the illegal school-based institution.District Youth Congress Secures Approval for New Building in Khammam Junior College Development

With the help of the District Youth Congress, plans for building a new building for Khammam’s junior college were approved. This project was the result of a group effort to improve the infrastructure of schools so that they are better places for students to learn. With their support for the project, the District Youth Congress showed that they were ready to put money into education and help make Khammam’s schools better generally. That approved building was meant to meet the changing needs of the junior college and fit with the goal of making a modern, well-equipped place for students to do well in their studies.Santosha Leads NSUI Protest Against EAMCET Paper Leak, Advocating Academic Integrity.

For the protest in Dharna after two EAMCET papers were leaked, Santosha lead the group as president of NSUI. He did something brave when he broke through the college gate and started a protest that got him arrested. Because the situation was so serious, the students were very vocal about their worries, focusing on how it might affect their careers in school. Problems with papers getting out meant that the EAMCET test had to be given with a third paper to fix things. The students’ fight as a group, led by Santosha, showed how determined they were to make sure the event didn’t get in the way of their studies. It showed that they were ready to stand together against any threats to their academic integrity.Santhosh Choudhary Enhances Security Measures at Girls’ Degree College.

Concerns were made by Santhosh Choudhary about unknown people drinking alcohol and breaking in at the District Girls’ Degree College headquarters. To deal with this problem, security steps were put in place, such as placing CCTV cameras around the college and sending security staff to the area. These proactive steps were meant to protect the safety and well-being of the college setting by reducing activities that were irritating and creating a safe space for students and staff. Santhosh’s advocacy secures 21 government teachers for Khammam Kendriya Vidyalaya.

At Khammam Kendriya Vidyalaya, there were 21 teachers who weren’t working because only seven were. Only two of them worked for the government as teachers. The other five were contract workers. Santhosh took the effort to deal with this problem because he knew there was an urgent need for qualified teachers. He worked with Renuka Chaudhary, a member of the Rajya Sabha, to voice worries about the lack of teachers. Under her direction, a great deal of work was put in, and within three months, 21 government teachers were hired. People like Santhosh were committed because they thought that students’ educational journeys should not be harmed.
