Vuppala Mettaiah is the Councilor of the 15th ward of Gajwel-Pregnapur. He was born on 04-05-1953 to Ramaiah & Tharabhai in Gajwel Village & Mandal of Siddipet District.
In 1969, He has completed his SSC Standard from ZPHS in Gajwel. In 1970, He studied Intermediate from Govt Degree College, Siddipet.
Mettaiah started his political journey as a President of Jawahar Youth Club in Gajwel, from 1972-1975. After that 2001-2006, Mettaiah elected Independently as a Sarpanch of Major Gram Panchayath in Gajwel with the District No.1 Highest Majority of 1950 Votes.
Mettaiah joined the Telugu Desam Party. From 2014-2019, Mettaiah was elected as a Councilor of the 11th ward of TDP in the Gajwel-Pregnapur Municipality, Siddipet District, Telangana.
Mettaiah joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS). In 2019, He was elected as a Councilor of the 15th ward in the Gajwel-Pregnapur with the Majority of 75 Votes, Siddipet District, Telangana.
Social Activities:
- He distributed Masks, sanitizers, Vegetables, Rice to village people at the time of COVID-19 lockdown.
- He involves in many of the social activities like Haritha Haram, Swachh Bharath programs helped poor people in his village and also fought for the development activities like CC Roads, Drainage, and Street lights in her village.
