Vasireddy Rambabu

Vasireddy Rambabu is the AP State Organizing Secretary, Former Corporator, and Senior Leader from the TDP. He strongly believes that a leader is someone who demonstrates what is possible. Rambabu, who has been in politics for over more than 10 years and is a loyal supporter of the people, has built a good reputation among the people.

Born and Education:

He was born on 13th August 1956. His parents were Ramakrishna and Indravathi.

Rambabu attained his Graduation(Degree). In 2017, he received his Doctorate from the University of Dubai.

Apart from his Political Life, he balances his professional career as a Businessman.

A career in Politics:

In 1982, Rambabu officially entered into Active Politics with the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). He has been in politics ever since the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Senior Leader NT. Rama Rao became a member of the party.

TDP is a regional Indian political party active in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The party was founded by N.T.Rama Rao on 29-March-1982. TDP was the first regional party to become the main opposition party at the 8th Lok Sabha from 1984 to 1989. TDP has a commitment to safeguarding “the political, economic, social, and cultural foundations of Telugu-speaking people”.

Rambabu became a Devotee of TDP as he liked the successful party style in doing justice to all sections.

In 1982, he was appointed as a Telugu Yuvatha State Member, within a short period of time he acquired a State Level position. This is an uncommon occurrence that does not happen to everyone. He took charge as TDP Secretary from Rajahmundry Town in 1986.

Rambabu was elected thrice as Rajahmundry Municipality Corporator 10th Division from the TDP. During Rambabu’s five-year tenure as Corporator, he rose to become one of the most powerful leaders in the district itself.

He has a close relationship with former CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, National General Secretary Nara Lokesh, and State Party President Kinjarapu Achennaidu. In 2002, The party officials offered him the post of Chief Whip to the Municipal Corporation. His humble service captivated the minds of the people, hoping that they would connect with him. Rambabu becomes the Floor Leader of Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation representing the TDP in 2007. He followed Simplicity, Fairness, and Transparency throughout his Government and in general, his government was called the People’s government.

As a result of his continuous efforts, the party authorities appointed him as Deputy Mayor to the Municipal Corporation and served in the position from 2014-2019. He led the party towards a landslide victory in Rajahmundry.

He has been appointed and working as City President from the TDP since 2012. Rambabu currently serves as AP State Organizing Secretary from the TDP. On his nomination as Organizing Secretary of State, Rambabu committed to working hard for the TDP and the people who trust in him, and he promised to be there for them always.

Rambabu’s Active Involvement during his Corporator and Deputy Mayor Tenture: 

• Vasireddy Rambabu, who has been appointed as the Telugu Desam Party state secretary, has issued appointment orders from the Amravati National Telugudesam party headquarters. Vasireddy Rambabu said that it’s proved once again that every activist who has worked with dedication has a chance in the Telugu Desam Party. He thanked Telugu Desam Party National President Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, National General Secretary Shri Nara Lokesh, and State Party President Shri Kinjarapu Achennaidu for giving him the opportunity.
• TDP leaders Vasireddy Rambabu and others staged a Maha Dharna demanding justice for the poor, alleging irregularities in the allocation of housing in the city.
• Former Deputy Mayor of Rajahmundry in the 10th Ward, Hon’ble Shri Vasireddy Rambabu said in his address that the Telugu Desam Party will fight till the inflated power prices are reduced. Erra Venugopala Naidu, Vasireddy Bobby, and Telugudesam activists were the guest of honor at the meeting.
• Former Corporator Vasireddy Rambabu along with TDP officials took part in TNSF Anti Ragging Poster Launching Program.
• VAT on petrol and diesel prices should be reduced immediately. Rajahmundry City MLA Adireddy Bhavani Srinivas laid a wreath at the Ambedkar statue at the Gokavaram bus stand at the petrol bunk under the slogan “Jagan Povali – Dharalu Taggali”. The protesters chanted slogans against the government.
• The focus is on government malpractices and changing the state election commissioner in these dire circumstances. Former Deputy Mayor of Rajahmundry city TDP president Vasireddy Rambabu went on a Hunger Strike at his residence on the orders of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, demanding that the state government fail to identify the corona victims and provide them with the medical facilities they need, and to give Rs 5,000 per family under the drought allowance to construction workers.
• Legislator Shri Gorantla Butchayya Chowdhary submitted a petition to the Rajahmundry Municipal Commissioner on arrears of salaries of workers working in the Rajahmundry Rural Gram Panchayats, Sanitation, and housing issues as a common man. Vasireddy Rambabu, Palika Srinu, Alla Anandrao, and others participated in the program.

Rambabu’s effort during the Covid Crisis:

-The epidemic has badly damaged people’s lives. Ordinary people could not survive during the Covid. As a responsible TDP leader, Rambabu gave his contribution even during the pandemic.

-During the Pandemic Period, he distributed fruits, food packets, and water bottles to the road siders and also distributed blankets to them.

-He provided food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.

-Provided annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis.

-Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.

-He financially helped covid victims by providing vitamin tablets, masks, Sanitizers, and fruits.

-Rambabu put his effort to serve people even during the covid second wave.

-He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.

-Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and about the effects of the virus.

-The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.

-Delivered food, supplements for the covid victims by home delivery.
