Uppu Jagan Prasad

 

Uppu Jagan Prasad is the State Joint Secretary of Andhra Pradesh from the YSRCP. The actual name of Jagan Prasad is U.V Siva Prasad. But he is popularly known as Jagan Prasad due to his active participation in the YSRCP party.

BORN AND EDUCATION:

He was born on 20-05-1978 to Uppu Subbarayudu in Nandyal Kurnool district.

He completed his Undergraduate(Intermediate).

Jagan Prasad was born in a poor family in Nandyal Town his father is an RTC Driver. He came up with many difficulties since his childhood. He studied hard to get financial help for the family and got a job as a Police Constable in APSP in the year 2000.

POLITICAL LIFE:

From an early age, Jagan was very fond of politics and YS. Rajasekhar Reddy Sir. He was an Admirer of YS. Rajasekhar Reddy considered him as his “Living God”. His stature, smiling face, workmanship, devotion, and public service inspired him a lot. Jagan Prasad wanted to come into politics when YS. Rajasekhar Reddy was in power, and gain the admiration of the people like him. “Inspired by the ideologies of Late. Sri. Dr.YS. Raja Sekhar Reddy Garu Jagan resigned from his job in the year 2002″ and joined in Congress party to strengthen and develop the congress party in Nandyal Town. After his resignation, he toured extensively entire Rayalaseema and propagate the Ideologies of the Late Dr. Y.S.R.

After the sudden demise of our beloved leader YSR, Jagan joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party(YSRCP) and has been rendered uncountable, unblemished & vibrant service to the Y.S.R PARTY in Nandyal division right from the inception of the Party to at present.

During the course of time, he sacrificed all of his properties for the sake and welfare of the party in the Nandyal constituency. During the last general elections, he has worked with a spirit for the winning of SILPA Ravichandra Kishore Reddy the present M.L.A of Nandyal.

• 2003-2004: NSUI State General Secretary & Nandyal Parliament Incharge.
• 2005-2006: Youth Congress State General Secretary, Andhra Pradesh.
• 2005-2012: Kurnool District President from Y.S. Jagan Yuva Sena.
• 2006-Till Date: Babu Jagjeevan Ram All India Samatha Movement Secretary.
• 2017-2019: YSRCP State Secretary, Publicity Wing.
• 2009-2012: Official Spokesperson Kurnool Dist. Congress Party.
• 2019-Till Date: State Joint Secretary from Y.S.R.Congress Party

PARTY ACTIVITIES:

Speaking at a press conference, Prasad said women’s economic development was possible only with Chief Minister Jagan. He said Jagan was the only chief minister who gave priority to women from the panchayat level to the home minister

The State Joint Secretary of the YSRCP said the late Chief Minister Rajasekhar Reddy has a stable place in the hearts of the people. Gangaharati program was conducted at Nandyala pond. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Rajasekhar Reddy has worked hard for the betterment of the farmers. Inspired by his father, Jagan Mohan Reddy is working for the welfare of the farmers.

Prasad said there was no point in stopping the campaign until Jagan was made the CM. Prasad was admitted to the hospital with a heart attack while campaigning. Frying the stunt to the heart, the campaign continued again. “People fell in love with Prasad’s dedication after seeing him campaigning with injections in the middle”.

YSRCP State Joint Secretary Prasad said that the people who voted for Jagan Mohan Reddy and Andhra Pradesh would be prosperous with Jagan. YSRCP leaders celebrated at the party office on the occasion of YSRCP’s huge victory in the elections.

Prasad said the welfare of Christian minorities was possible only with YSRCP. Prayers were conducted in the town under the patronage of DCCI District President Raja Mahendranath and Kishore Chandra. Prasad promised to pay Rs 1 lakh for Christian minority weddings.

Asha workers celebrated as Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy increased the wages of Asha workers from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000. YS Jagan was anointed to paint on the premises of the District Primary Health Center in the zone. YSRCP Secretary of State Prasad participated in the event and said that the CM, who recognized the plight of Asha workers, had increased their salaries to support them.

YSSRCP state secretary Uppu Jagan Prasad and YSSRCP legal cell president Advocate Pratap Reddy have warned Nara Lokesh. They were outraged over the remarks of Nara Lokesh, who recently came to Pesaravai village in the Gadivumula zone.

 

ACTIVITIES BY JAGAN PRASAD FOR THE SAKE OF THE PARTY

-With all due respect to Y.S Rajashekar Reddy Garu, Jagan reluctantly gave up his job as a constable and devoted his full time to the service of the people, constantly strived for party development of the YSRCP.

-He went positively to change TDP dominated Ponnapuram village.

-Jagan made available the government schemes for the poor and needy people.

-Campaigned in Nandyal Municipal Wards along with local M.P. & M.L.A under Congress party during the Municipal, MPTC & ZPTC Elections.

-For his part, Jagan conducted a “JOB MELA” to stop student suicides and provided employment to Unemployed youth.

-To create awareness among farmers on crops and fertilizers Jagan organized “RAITHU AVAGAHANA SADASSU” in Nandyal & Kurnool Town.

-Conducted Blood camps, health camps under the portage of the Y.S.R congress Party.

-Arranged free medical camps for poor and needy people in Nandyal Parliamentary Constituency.

-To increase student’s intelligence conducted essay writing competitions in Schools.

-Every year Jagan gives sports kits to the students and encourages them to stay ahead not only in studies but also in sports.

-Provided free meals to old age homes, Temples, and orphan homes.

-To strengthen the party recruited around 5000 members in the Youth Y.S.R. Congress party and YSR Party Soldiers.

-Jagan and party leaders rallied in Nandyala, Nandikotkur, Allagadda, and Kurnool against T.D.P’s indecent remarks about YSR.

-District-wide campaigning in Kurnool District.

-Jagan always brings public issues to the attention of MLAs & MPs and makes them solve.

-Conducted awareness programs in slum areas regarding Cleanliness of the surroundings use of wet and dry garbages.

-Veterinary camps were conducted in Gospadu Mandal under Nandyal Assembly Constituency.

-In 2008 Jagan took part in “PADAYATRA” along with 50 followers from Nandyal to Srisailam and in support of Late Sri Y.S. Raja Sekhar Reddy to become Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

-Jagan sat for a hunger strike in favor of Samaikya Andhra for 7 days. Later Kurnool District Collector has withdrawn from the hunger strike which stood first in the district as nobody sat on the hunger strike for 7 days.

-Motivate people and joining them into the Y.S.R. Congress party for By-election 2017.

-Campaigned Door-to-Door in Kapu, Balija Community families for By-election 2017.

-Conducted meetings and campaigned in Nandyal Municipal wards along with local M.P.& M.L.A. under Y.S.R. Congress party during the 2019 M.P. & M.L.A. elections.

-Offered special prayers & poojas in various temples for the welfare & the success of the party in the 2019 elections.

-Made people aware of YSRCP schemes such as “Jagananna Amma Vodi, Jagananna Chedodu, Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, Illa Pattalu, YSR Arogya scheme, YSR Bima”. He made the Navaratnalu scheme available to everyone.

-Medical Camps were conducted at Nandyal during the year 2020.

-Campaigned in Nandyal Rural for MPTC, ZPTC & Panchayat Election during 2021.

-Campaigned in Nandyal Municipal Council Election during 2021.

-He has been celebrating YSR birth and death anniversaries, Jagan birthday Celebrations every year.

INTERESTING FACTS:

Prasad worked hard for Jagan to become CM, for the welfare of the YSRCP party, there were instances where he risked his life for the party as well. He was always active in the party presenting all the schemes introduced by Jagan to the people. But he did not get the recognition he deserved. However, Prasad is moving forward without getting discouraged and without expecting anything in return, it must be said that he has the utmost respect for Rajasekhar Reddy.
