Trivendra Sigh Rawath

Trivendra Sigh Rawath is the 8th and current Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He was born on 20-December-1960 to Pratap Singh Rawat and Bochha Devi in Khairasain in the Kotdwar tehsil. He completed his Master’s degree in Journalism from Birla Campus in Srinagar of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna University.

He started his political journey with the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). From 1979-2002, Rawat is a Member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) and held the posts of organizing Secretary of Uttarakhand Region. In 1981, He became a Sangh Pracharak. He served as Tehsil Pracharak of RSS from Srinagar, Uttarakhand in 1983. In 1985, Rawat appointed as Nagar Pracharak of RSS at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

In 1989, He became an Editor of Rashtradev at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He was elected from the Doiwala constituency in the State’s first legislative assembly elections in 2002. He was also actively involved in the Uttarakhand Movement.

He Re-elected as MLA from Doiwala constituency in 2007 and worked as Minister of Agriculture as a Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Trivendra was appointed as the National Secretary of BJP in 2010. He served as an Incharge of BJP, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand Cadre’s President. He was also appointed as one of the members of “Namaami Gange” to clean Holy Ganga in 2014. He was appointed as 8th and current Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.

Discussed with the officials of Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad regarding the organization of Kumbh Mela in the Secretariat premises today. The state government is determined to organize Kumbh Mela 2021 divine and grandly. This event will be successful with the support and blessings of the saints of all the arena. Reviewing the construction works being done under the arrangements of Kumbh Mela, all permanent and temporary construction works were given to the concerned authorities to be completed before 15 December 2020
