He was born on 01-01-1981 to Pochaiah & Narsamma in Sheripally village of Gajwel-Pregnapur Mandal, Siddipet District.
In 1993, He has completed his SSC Standard from ZPHS in Sheripally.
In 2009, Kanakaiah was elected as a Chairman of UPS School in Sheripally Village of Gajwel-Pregnapur Mandal in Siddipet, Telangana.
Kanakaiah started his political career with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) Party and was an active member in the Year 2014.
Kanakaiah has contested as a Ward member for Sheripally Village and elected as 3rd Ward Member in 2014.
Kanakaiah Currently serving as a Sarpanch from Sheripally Village of Gajwel-Pregnapur Mandal of Siddipet District, Telangana for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) Party, Since 2019.

- Kanakaiah has donated many kits in most of the villages of the Gajwel-Pregnapur Mandal during the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown period.
- He involves in many of the social activities like Swachch Bharath Abhiyan, Harithaharam, helping poor people in his village.
- He did so many Social Activities like he provided Scholarships to the Social Welfare School and also donated food, clothes, Plates, money, and lamps. He sponsored money to the poor people and motivated students for their studies and paid fees to merit students.
