Roots and Family Heritage
On the 19th of October, 1965, Thotakura Vajresh Yadav, fondly known as Jangaiah Yadav, was born into the nurturing household of Mr. Thotakura Yellaiah and Mrs. Thotakura Yellamma. His birthplace, Boduppal in Medipally Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, Telangana, was where he grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family. Raised in an environment that emphasized the importance of integrity, community service, and hard work, Thotakura Vajresh Yadav was deeply influenced by the values imparted by his parents. These early years in Boduppal significantly shaped his character and his deep-rooted commitment to his community.
Foundation in Education

Shivaji Youth Club President (1988)
Thotakura Vajresh Yadav’s official journey in public service began with his election as the President of the Shivaji Youth Club in 1988. Entry into the Praja Rajyam Party (2009)
Thotakura Vajresh Yadav’s formal entry into active politics occurred in 2009 when he joined the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP), a political party founded by the celebrated Tollywood actor and politician Mr Chiranjeevi. Yadav’s dedication to public service and desire to make a broader impact drew him to the party’s mission. Joining the Telugu Desam Party (2014)
In 2014, Thotakura Vajresh Yadav transitioned to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), a well-established political force founded by the legendary actor-turned-politician N.T. N. Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, led Rama Rao. Yadav’s decision to join TDP was driven by his belief in the party’s vision for societal development. When he joined, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the party’s principles and worked diligently to support its goals. During the 2014 Assembly Elections, he again contested the MLA position in the Medchal Constituency. OBC Vice Chairman of Indian National Congress (2019)

In 1992, his uncle, Mr. Thotakura Salaiah Yadav, was elected as the Sarpanch of Boduppal. His election was a testament to his unwavering commitment to the community’s welfare. Continuing this family tradition of public service, Thotakura Laxmi, the wife of Thotakura Vajresh Yadav, was elected as the Sarpanch of Boduppal in 2002. Her tenure was marked by her active involvement in various community projects, many undertaken alongside her husband, Jangaiah Yadav. Dynamic Political Leadership and Advocacy: Thotakura Vajresh Yadav’s Political Journey
- Thotakura Vajresh Yadav(Jangaiah Yadav), along with all Congress ranks from the Medchal Constituency, marched from the Indira Gandhi monument on Necklace Road to the Election Commission headquarters in Basheer Bagh, headed by TPCC President Revanth Reddy, to defend dissenting voices and preserve democracy.
- After four years, Vajresh Yadav was still infuriated that the ancient artists’ homes in the artists’ Basti under Boduppal Municipal Corporation hadn’t been razed. They went to the artists’ Basti and inquired about the dwellings that weren’t performed lately. He threatened that if the houses were not completed within a week, the collector’s office and minister’s mansion would be besieged.

- The Congress Party’s leadership, including T P C C OBC CELL Thotakura Jangaiah Yadav, Vice Chairman, Medchal Constituency Coordinator Congress Party Floor Leader for Medchal Zilla Praja Parishad and Medchal Constituency Congress Party, has objected to a councillor for the Congress Party who represents the Medchal Constituency in Ghatkesar Municipality joining the TRS Party without resigning from his position.
