I, Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu, son of the late Shri Thota Subba Rao, former Transport Minister and Kakinada MP, greet you with profound respect and boundless gratitude. Born in the serene village of Veeravaram, in the Kakinada district, I was nurtured amidst the values of integrity, service, and intellectual pursuit that have shaped my entire journey. My academic odyssey led me from a First-Class B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, to an MBA in International Business from the United States (GPA 3.6/4.0), culminating in a PhD from Andhra University in 2016. I I have further fortified my professional standing by successfully clearing the prestigious Independent Director Examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, securing an outstanding 76 percent score. My journey of ideological grounding deepened through the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’ s rigorous training programmes. In May 2016, I completed the Vishesha Pratham Varsha Training in the serene environs of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, which marked the formal beginning of my structured organisational and ideological orientation.

Two years later, in May 2018, I successfully completed the advanced Vishesha Dwiteeya Varsha Training in Chennai — a transformative phase that further enriched my commitment to national service, preservation of cultural heritage, and disciplined nation-building. Over twelve years, I served the nation’s financial architecture at SEBI in its formative phase and honed managerial excellence with the JK and Allwyn Groups.  Inspired by the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, I joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014 in the august presence of Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu garu. Since then, I have remained an unwavering foot-soldier of the party, thrice honoured as State Executive Committee Member, actively organising massive public meetings addressed by the Prime Minister and Shri Amit Shah, and campaigning across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.

In 2022, the Government of India entrusted me with the responsibility of Independent Director on the Board of National Fertilisers Limited, where I strive to strengthen agricultural productivity and farmer welfare. As Honorary Advisor to the Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation since June 2022, I am committed to making the DDSF Vision of Deaf-Free Bharat by 2047 and Andhra Pradesh the nation’s first hearing-problem-free state by 2035, having already enabled nearly ten thousand citizens to hear again through free hearing-aid camps. Through the Thota Subba Rao Rural Development Trust and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust, my family continues our four-generation legacy of selfless service, clean politics, farmer empowerment, and national unity. Early Life and Distinguished Academic Journey of Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu

Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu was born and nurtured in the serene coastal village of Veeravaram, Kakinada District, Andhra Pradesh, to the esteemed couple Sri Thota Subha Rao and Smt. Thota Alivelu Mangatayaramma. Raised in an environment steeped in traditional values and intellectual curiosity, he imbibed the virtues of perseverance, discipline, and excellence from an early age.

Between 1979 – 1983, he pursued his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering at the prestigious Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering, Tirupati. With remarkable diligence and scholarly aptitude, he graduated with First Class honours, laying a robust foundation in engineering principles and analytical thinking.

Determined to broaden his global perspective, Dr Sarvarayudu travelled to the United States and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specialising in International Business from New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University), Manchester, USA, during 1988–1989. He distinguished himself by securing an impressive GPA of 3.6 out of 4.0, demonstrating exceptional proficiency in strategic management and cross-cultural business dynamics.

Continuing his lifelong pursuit of knowledge, he completed his PhD from the renowned Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in August 2016. His doctoral research reflected deep scholarly insight and contributed meaningfully to the understanding of contemporary business and economic paradigms in the Indian context. Dr. Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu has further strengthened his credentials by successfully clearing the prestigious Independent Director Examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs with an impressive score of 76 percent.

RSS Training Milestones

In May 2016, Dr  Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu completed the RSS Vishesha Pratham Varsha Training held in the tranquil setting of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, marking the commencement of his structured ideological and organisational grooming.

Two years later, in May 2018, he participated in and completed the advanced RSS Vishesha Dwiteeya Varsha Training conducted in Chennai, a significant step that deepened his understanding of national service, cultural heritage, and disciplined action.

Earlier, in 2002, he had participated in the intensive 21-day Siddhi Samadhi Yoga (SSY) camp in Karimnagar district, an experience that deepened his commitment to personal discipline, spiritual growth, and holistic well-being.

These rigorous training programmes represent key stages in his continued association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, reinforcing his commitment to character-building and nation-first ideals.

Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu brings over 12 years of rich experience from both public and private sectors. He served in the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) during its formative years, contributing significantly to the regulatory framework of the nation’s capital markets.

In the corporate domain, he held key positions in the JK Group, a leading diversified conglomerate with strong footprints in automotive tyres, cement, paper, and textiles. He also gained valuable industry exposure while associated with the Allwyn Group, a reputed entity engaged in engineering, electronics, and consumer appliances. These varied assignments honed his strategic insight, managerial expertise, and deep understanding of both regulatory governance and industrial operations.

Commitment to Public Service

Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu consciously chose a path of principled public engagement rather than conventional electoral politics. During his father’s distinguished tenure and despite easy access to the highest echelons of power—including the offices of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister—he deliberately refrained from contesting for MLA or MP positions.

Even after his father’s demise in 2001, and notwithstanding considerable influence and extensive family connections across the district, he opted to remain independent of formal party affiliation. His focus has consistently centred on meaningful societal contribution and selfless service, channelled through non-electoral platforms that align with his vision of constructive nation-building.

Entry and Growing Stature in the BJP

Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu formally enrolled as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, just ahead of the 2014 general elections. The enrollment ceremony was graced by the presence of senior leader Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, lending significant prestige to the occasion.

Since joining, he has immersed himself wholeheartedly in the party’s mission, actively engaging in every initiative with discipline, integrity, and a clear focus on enhancing the organisation’s outreach and credibility.

His exemplary service and unwavering commitment to public welfare have earned widespread appreciation within the party. In recognition of his sustained contributions, he has been appointed as State Executive Committee Member for the third consecutive term, affirming his pivotal role in shaping the BJP’s growth and influence in the state. Appointment as Independent Director – National Fertilisers Limited (NFL)

Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu, a distinguished BJP leader from East Godavari District, has been nominated by the Government of India as an independent Director on the Board of National Fertilisers Limited (NFL), one of the country’s premier public-sector enterprises under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers.

NFL holds a strategic position in India’s agricultural ecosystem by producing and supplying high-quality fertilisers, thereby playing an indispensable role in strengthening food security and boosting farm productivity nationwide. With his extensive experience in public life, organisational leadership, and deep understanding of grassroots realities, Dr Sarvarayudu brings valuable insights to the board. In this capacity, he contributes to shaping the company’s strategic roadmap, ensuring operational excellence, and aligning corporate decisions with national priorities and the broader interests of the farming community.

Political Legacy of the Thota Family

Father: Late Shri Thota Subba Rao – Former Transport Minister, Andhra Pradesh

Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu’s father, the late Shri Thota Subba Rao, carved an enduring legacy of public service and grassroots connect. He represented Jaggampeta constituency in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for three successive terms (1983, 1985, and 1989). In 1989, he was entrusted with the key portfolio of Transport Minister in the cabinet of the legendary Shri N.T. Rama Rao.

In 1991, he moved to national politics and served as a Member of Parliament from the Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency from 1991 to 1996. Known for his round-the-clock accessibility and unwavering commitment to the common citizen, he remained equally dedicated irrespective of whether he was with the Telugu Desam Party or the Congress. His political journey was defined by relentless service, deep empathy for constituents across all sections, and an uncompromising work ethic. His sudden demise in 2001 created an irreplaceable void, yet his ideals of selfless leadership and people-first governance continue to inspire generations in East Godavari and beyond.

Grandfather Late Sarva Rayudu – Chairman of Cooperative Bank, Peddapuram, Andhra Pradesh

The Thota family has established a prominent presence in state politics, spanning four generations, and their contributions are well recognised. Similarly, the Venkata Sarvarayudu family has been intricately linked to the East Godavari district for the past five decades. 

Venkata Sarvarayudu’s grandfather, Sri Sarvarayudu, held notable positions of influence and responsibility within the district. He served as the Chairman of the cooperative bank in Peddapuram, contributing to the economic development and growth of the local community. Additionally, he was the esteemed Chairman of the District Library, emphasising the importance of education and knowledge dissemination within the region.

Grand Father’s Brother – Sri Thota Ramaswamy – Chairman of Legislative Council, Andhra Pradesh

Continuing the legacy of public service, Venkata Sarvarayudu’s elder brother, Sri Thota Ramaswamy, made significant contributions to the district and state governance. He served as the Chairman of the Zilla Parishad (District Board), taking charge of local governance and addressing the needs and aspirations of the people. 

Furthermore, Sri Thota Ramaswamy held the distinguished position of Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, a testament to his leadership and political acumen. He also served as a minister in the cabinet of Kasu Brahmananda Reddy during the 1960s, actively participating in the formulation and execution of policies that shaped the state’s development.

Dr Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu’s Service Through Trusts and Humanitarian Initiatives

Venkata Sarvarayudu collaborated closely with renowned activists such as Anna Hazare, Medha Patkar, Sandeep Pande, and others who shared a similar ethos. Their collective wisdom and passion for social causes had a profound impact on Venkata Sarvarayudu, gradually providing him with a clearer sense of purpose. While Venkata Sarvarayudu’s initial feelings towards politics were neither overtly positive nor negative, he began to recognise its potential as an effective instrument for serving society.

Thota Subba Rao Rural Development Trust:

Since 2004, the Thota Subba Rao Rural Development Trust, named after his father, has been dedicated to advancing the rural community in East Godavari district and selecting areas of the neighbouring four districts. Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu is the President and undertakes a range of initiatives aimed at fostering development and progress in these regions. Notably, the Trust operates solely on the financial resources provided by his family, reflecting our unwavering commitment to the cause.

Sardar Vallabhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET):

In 2012, Venkata Sarvarayudu initiated efforts to promote awareness and publicise the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET) in the district. This endeavour aimed to highlight the Trust’s mission and activities, emphasising the importance of unity and national integration.

Furthermore, in 2008, the Trust actively opposed the manner in which land was acquired from farmers for the establishment of the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ). Recognising the impact on local communities, the Trust extended its support to strengthen the movement at the grassroots level. By standing in solidarity with the affected farmers, the Trust aimed to safeguard their rights and advocate for a fair and just approach to land acquisition processes.

Campaign for Clean Politics:

During 2007-08, we undertook a comprehensive sensitisation exercise to promote clean politics, meaningful participation, and social change. As part of this initiative, we distributed 10,000 booklets to educate and raise awareness about the campaign’s objectives and the mission of the Trust. These booklets served as a valuable resource to inspire individuals to pursue cleaner and more responsible politics actively.

Corporate Social Responsibility:

In conjunction with the campaign for clean politics, we also sought to popularise the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). To achieve this, we installed 150 large-scale flex boards across the district, effectively communicating the significance and benefits of CSR. These visually impactful boards served as a means to encourage businesses and organisations to embrace their social responsibilities and contribute to the betterment of society.

Collaborated with the Kisan Sangh:

During 2005-06, the Trust collaborated with the Kisan Sangh to organise a series of district activities to provide farmers a much-needed morale boost and address the challenges they faced. These initiatives were designed to empower and support the farming community, recognising their vital role in our society.

The activities included seminars and exhibitions, where farmers gained valuable knowledge and insights on various issues affecting their lives. These platforms provided spaces for sharing experiences, discussing best practices, and finding solutions to common challenges. Additionally, a massive rally was organised to showcase unity and solidarity among farmers, highlighting their resilience and determination.

Honorary Advisor – Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation (Since June 2022)

The Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation, founded in 2018, has been at the forefront of eliminating hearing impairment in Andhra Pradesh. In June 2022, Dr. Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu, associated with Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation as Honorary Advisor, brought his vast experience and stature to further strengthen the Foundation’s efforts in restoring the gift of hearing to thousands across the state.

The Foundation has conducted 15 large-scale medical camps across Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam districts, distributing free hearing aids to nearly 10,000 beneficiaries. With an estimated 3 lakh individuals in the state suffering from hearing loss – many from economically weaker and Urdu-speaking communities – the Foundation is committed to removing both medical and social barriers that deepen poverty and isolation.

Under Dr Sarvarayudu’s advisory guidance, the Foundation has set one target:

Making Andhra Pradesh the country’s first hearing-problem-free state by 2035.

His strategic counsel continues to strengthen outreach, resource mobilisation sustained impact, ensuring thousands regain the gift of sound and the dignity of independent, fulfilling lives.

Free Distribution of Deaf Machines:

The Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation, in collaboration with Thota Subbarao Rural Development, has actively distributed hearing aids to address the issue of hearing impairment in Andhra Pradesh. With sincere gratitude, NFL Independent Director Thota Venkata Sarvarayudu has played a significant role in organising the program in Kakinada under the slogan “Deaf Free Bharat by 2047,” bringing hope to numerous families and then in Andhra Pradesh. Through the foundation’s efforts, 15 major camps have been organised across the state, providing free hearing aids to nearly ten thousand individuals.

On December 13, 2022, a free hearing aid distribution program was held at Kala Bharathi in Pithapuram Colony, Visakhapatnam, under the auspices of the Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation. In this program, 200 individuals were provided with hearing aids at no cost. The program received praise from Haribabu, acknowledging the significant number of people suffering from hearing problems in society. He expressed appreciation for the foundation’s initiative in identifying and providing free hearing aids to those in need. Thus far, a total of 8,200 individuals in Andhra Pradesh have benefited from the foundation’s efforts.

The program in Kakinada received support and encouragement from various individuals, including Mr P. Janardhan, director of NFL, and Mr Ajith Kumar Raju, ONGC Independent Director, among others. Their contributions and corporate social responsibility efforts have been pivotal in supporting the foundation’s mission. Mizoram Governor Mr Mrambhampati expressed interest in implementing a similar program in Mizoram and requested the Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation to extend its services to the state.

Looking ahead, the foundation has set ambitious goals. They aim to make the entire Andhra Pradesh a hearing problem-free state, with a plan to provide hearing aids in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Mizoram. The Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation remains committed to identifying individuals with hearing impairments and working towards a hearing problem-free India.

In Andhra Pradesh alone, approximately 300,000 individuals have been identified as suffering from hearing problems, leading to severe mental stress and hindering their growth opportunities. The Deen Dayal Shravana Foundation recognises the impact of hearing impairments on individuals from the Urdu-speaking community, exacerbating poverty and limiting access to hearing aids. The foundation is determined to eliminate hearing problems and uplift the affected individuals by extending its services to Mizoram as well.

Involvement in Party Activities:

• Since joining the BJP, Venkata Sarvarayudu actively participated in various party programs and activities, demonstrating his commitment to the party’s objectives and ideals.
  
• Venkata Sarvarayudu had the opportunity to work closely with influential party members, including Mr Sri Kanna Lakshmi Narayana (State President) and Mr Sri Somu Veerraju (National Council Member).
  
• In 2015, Venkata Sarvarayudu participated in the District Prasikshana program, which aimed to train and educate party members at the district level. He attended approximately 200 small gathering meetings, engaging with local communities and addressing their concerns.
  
• Venkata Sarvarayudu was crucial in organising and managing nine large-scale public meetings, where VIPs such as Sri Modi, Sri Amit Shah, and Sri Ram Madhav were the key speakers. These gatherings aimed to mobilise support and create awareness about the BJP’s vision and policies.
  
• During the Karnataka elections, Venkata Sarvarayudu dedicated a month to campaigning for the party’s candidates in the state. Similarly, he spent ten days actively participating in the Sher Lingampalli constituency elections in Telangana.
  
• Venkata Sarvarayudu also contributed his time and effort to support the party’s candidates in the Vizag MLC elections and the 2019 Andhra Pradesh elections. Additionally, he was involved in the Kakinada Municipality Elections, working towards the party’s success in local governance.
  
• In recent weeks, Venkata Sarvarayudu focused on the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Saptah (Week of Service) and Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra. He served as a District Co-convenor, coordinating activities and actively participating in events that aimed to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings and principles.
