Thati Venkateswarlu was the 2014-MLA of the Aswaraopeta constituency. He was born on 01-07-1962 to Mr&Mrs. Thati Katappa. He completed 9th Standard from ZP high school, Jelugumilli Village. He discontinued SSC. Basically, he hails from an Agricultural family. He has the Business.

He served as the President of Velerupadu Mandal, Khammam District. He joined the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). From 1999-2004, in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with a margin of 45904 votes from the Burgampahad Constituency.

He joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party(YSRCP). In 2014, in the Telangana Assembly elections, he was contested and elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with a margin of 49,546 votes from the YSRCP party. He joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) party.
