Tammineni Seetaram

Seetaram is the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Amudalavalasa constituency and Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He was born on 26-07-1959, in Srikakulam.

He completed his Graduation (BA). In 1979, He was worked as Student Union Leader and was the Director of Sugar Factory, Amadalavasa in 1981.

He started his Political Journey with the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). From 1983-1985, in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Elections, He was won the post of Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Amudalavalasa constituency, Srikakulam Dist.

From 1985-1989, He was Second time also elected as MLA of Amudalavalasa constituency. From 1985-1989, He was served as Government Whip, Andhra Pradesh.

From 1991-1994, He served as Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA)  of Amudalavalasa  Constituency and was the Vice-Chairman of AP Sports Council Hyderabad.

From 1994-1999, He was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Amudalavalasa Constituency.

From 1994-1995, Seetaram was Appointed as Ministers for Services & Law, Printing & Stationery in NTR Government. From 1995-1996, he was Minister for Municipal Adm.& Urban development in Nara Chandra Babu Naidu Government.

From 1996-1998, he served as Minister for I&P.R., Tourism & Youth Services, and was Minister for Information & Public Relations,1998-1999. Seetaram was won the post of Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Amudalavalasa constituency,1999-2003.

From 1999-2001, he was Minister for Youth Services, Small Scale Industries in Nara Chandra Babu Naidu Government. and 2001-2003, Minister for Excise in Nara Chandra Babu Naidu Government.

In 2009, Seetaram joined the Praja Rajyam Party(PRP) by resigning from TDP in the wake of differences with his close relative K Ravi Kumar. He again joined the TDP in 2012, but he was unable to adjust to the TDP after re-entry.

Seetaram joined YSRCP in 2013 and contested as MLA from Amudalavalasa constituency in 2014, but was defeated by TDP candidate K Ravi Kumar.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Elections, He was won the post of Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from YSRCP of Amudalavalasa constituency, Srikakulam Dist. Seetaram is the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
