T. Padma Rao Goud is the Deputy Speaker in Telangana and was the MLA of TRS in Secunderabad. He was born on 07-04-1954 to Late T. Eshwaraiah in Secunderabad.
In 1975, He has completed his Intermediate from Govt. Junior College, S.P. Road, Secunderabad.
Padma Rao joined in politics after education. From 1986-1991, Rao was served as a Municipal Councilor, Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad.
Later in 2001, Padma Rao joined in Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) Party. From 2002-2004, Rao worked as a Corporator of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC).
He won the MLA Seat from the Secunderabad Assembly constituency in the 2004 Assembly Election. In the 2009 Assembly election, he lost from the Sanathnagar Assembly constituency to Congress Candidate Marri Shashidhar Reddy.
From 2014-2018, Rao selected as an MLA of the TRS Party in Secunderabad Constituency. He was inducted into Cabinet in 2014, was the Minister of Excise & Prohibition, Government of Telangana. From 2014-2018, Rao was served as a Minister of Excise & Prohibition, Sports & Youth Services, Government of Telangana.
In 2018, Padma Rao was re-elected as an MLA(Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly) of the TRS party in Secunderabad Constituency. In 2019, Rao was appointed as a Deputy Speaker in Telangana Legislative Assembly.
