Syed Aminul Hasan Jafri

Syed Aminul Hasan Jafri is an Indian Journalist and a Member of the Legislative Council(MLC) from the AIMIM Party of Hyderabad, Telangana. He was Born on 25-01-1955 to Syed Ahmed Hussain and Smt.Meherunnisa Begum in Hyderabad. He completed Post Graduate Masters of Communications and Journalism from Arts College, Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1977.

He has worked with English newspaper Newstime, Deccan Chronicle, and Telegu newspaper Eenadu. Jafri also has been a reporter of international news agencies which include BBC, AFP, Reuters, besides being a correspondent at Rediff.com for ten years.

In 2010, He Started his Political Journey with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Party (AIMIM). From 2010-2011, He worked as a Member of the A.P Legislative council(MLC), Andhra Pradesh. From 2011-2014, He was Served as a Member of the A.P Legislative council(MLC). He was the Floor Leader of the AIMIM party.

From 2014-2017, He was Served as a Member of the Telangana Legislative Council(MLC). In 2017, He was elected as a Member of the Telangana Legislative Council(MLC) of Hyderabad, Telangana. In 2019, He worked as Chairman of the Committee on Papers Laid on the Table of Telangana.

MLC Jafri was sworn in for the third term

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader Syed Aminul Hasan Jafri was sworn in as the Member of Telangana State Legislative Council by Chairman Swamy Goud here on Tuesday. Jafri has been elected to the Legislative Council for the third consecutive term. The swearing-in-ceremony was held at Council’s Durbar Hall. Government Chief Whip Paturi Sudhakar Reddy, Whip Bodakunti Venkateshwarlu, MLCs M.S.Prabhakar Rao, Vullolla Gangadhar Goud, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, and MIM MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri were also present on the occasion.
