I am Suman S., an ardent public servant, social reformer, and Vice-Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee of India (NHRC) for Karnataka State. Born on October 8, 1986, in the culturally rich city of Mysore, my commitment to public service was deeply influenced by my father, Shri Sharvana Murthy, whose values and vision laid the foundation for my unwavering dedication to societal transformation.

My political journey formally began in 2016 when I aligned with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), inspired by the leadership and vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Although I have never met him in person, Modi ji’s unwavering dedication, spiritual discipline, and transformative governance continue to serve as a guiding force in my mission. His ability to merge tradition with progress has been instrumental in shaping my work for the people of Karnataka.

Rooted in the values of Sanatana Dharma, I have been actively involved in organizing Chamundeshwari Maata Poojas and reviving centuries-old temples—initiatives I have personally funded and overseen since 2016. These efforts aim to protect our rich spiritual heritage while nurturing cultural pride among younger generations. My advocacy for cow protection includes setting up safe shelters and running awareness campaigns about their spiritual and ecological importance in Indian life.

Between 2013 and 2025, I actively engaged in numerous BJP election campaigns, advocating for the party’s vision of a strong, unified nation under the theme “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” Alongside my political work, I have also dedicated myself to humanitarian causes. Through the Divya Jyothi Blind and Charitable Trust, I’ve launched skill-building programs for the visually impaired and economically disadvantaged women, empowering them to lead dignified lives. During the COVID-19 crisis, I coordinated relief efforts that included distributing food, medicine, and learning materials to vulnerable communities.
