SK. Siraj Hussain began his political journey in 2008 by joining the Indian National Congress under the guidance of Dudhilla Sreedhar Babu. Over the years, he held various organizational responsibilities, including District Congress Committee General Secretary and TPCC Coordinator. He actively participated in elections, party programmes, rallies, and organizational activities across Telangana. His responsibilities also included AICC election assignments and coordination for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

SK. Siraj Hussain has also been involved in community-oriented initiatives in Karimnagar District. He supported people in accessing government welfare schemes, including ration cards, pensions, Kalyana Lakshmi, and Shadi Mubarak. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked at Government Hospital, Karimnagar District, as a Computer Operator and COVID Data Manager, while also assisting patients and families. His social activities included free medical camps and distribution of essential items such as food, vegetables, masks, and sanitizers.

Early Life and Family Background

SK. Siraj Hussain was born on 10 August 1988 in Mahadevpur, Karimnagar district. From an early age, he developed a strong connection with Telangana’s land, culture, and identity. His upbringing shaped his respect for the region’s self-respect and helped him understand the everyday challenges faced by ordinary people.

Raised in a family that valued discipline, hard work, and social responsibility, he learned important life principles from his parents, Mubarak Hussain and Akther Begum. Their guidance instilled in him the values of commitment, honesty, integrity, and loyalty, which became the foundation of his personal journey.

 Educational Foundation

SK. Siraj Hussain has consistently regarded education as a developing clarity of thought, discipline, and a responsible approach to leadership. He completed his schooling at ZPHS Government School, Mahadevpur, in 2005, laying the foundation for his academic and personal development.

He subsequently pursued his Intermediate and Degree education at Government College, Mahadevpur, during the period from 2007 to 2010, broadening his knowledge and perspective. In 2025, he further strengthened his academic qualifications by completing a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) at Government Medical College, Nizamabad, reflecting his continued commitment to learning and professional development.

 Journalism and Media Career

SK. Siraj Hussain began his professional journey in journalism, working as a journalist with Sakshi Telugu Newspaper in Mahadevpur Mandal. His experience in the media sector enabled him to closely observe local issues, understand public concerns, and bring important community matters to wider attention.

He also served with Churakalu Newspaper in the Manthani Assembly Constituency and worked as a Correspondent for Munsif Urdu Daily Paper in Manakondur Constituency, Karimnagar Dist. Through these journalistic responsibilities, SK. Siraj Hussain gained valuable experience in public communication, reporting, and understanding the issues affecting people across different communities and constituencies.

Entry into the Indian National Congress Party

In 2008, SK. Siraj Hussain formally embarked on his active political journey by joining the Indian National Congress (INC). He entered the party under the guidance and direction of Dudhilla Sreedhar Babu, marking an important milestone in his political career.

This association laid the foundation for his continued involvement in organised politics, enabling him to engage with grassroots-level party activities and organisational responsibilities. SK. Siraj Hussain held the position of General Secretary of the District Congress Committee, Karimnagar District, from 2023 to 2026. His responsibilities included district-level coordination, organisational planning, and facilitating communication among various party functionaries.

Director – WAKF Board, Karimnagar District
SK. Siraj Hussain was associated with the WAKF Board, Karimnagar District, as a Director from 2014 to 2016. During this tenure, he was involved in matters concerning WAKF administration, institutional affairs, and community-oriented initiatives.

State Secretary – A.P. Youth Congress Committee
SK. Siraj Hussain took on the role of State Secretary of the A.P. Youth Congress Committee in 2010. His responsibilities included participating in youth-focused programmes, strengthening organisational engagement, and supporting activities undertaken by the committee.

Mandal President – Minority Cell, Mahadevpur

• AICC Observer – Gulbarga Lok Sabha Elections- SK. Siraj Hussain served as an AICC Observer for the Gulbarga Lok Sabha Elections in the 2024 Parliament Elections, representing the Minority Department and carrying out responsibilities entrusted by the party.
• 2023 Assembly Election Campaign- During the 2023 Assembly Elections, SK. Siraj Hussain actively campaigned across the erstwhile Karimnagar District for the victory of Congress candidates. His efforts included participation in election programmes and grassroots outreach.
• 2024 Lok Sabha Election Campaign- During the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, SK. Siraj Hussain actively worked and campaigned for the Congress candidate in the Karimnagar Parliament Constituency, contributing to the party’s electoral activities.
• Praja Palana Programme- SK. Siraj Hussain participated in the Praja Palana Programme in Karimnagar Town, engaging with the programme and supporting efforts aimed at connecting government initiatives with the public.
• Jai Bapu, Jai Bheem, Jai Samvidhan- SK. Siraj Hussain served as the Coordinator for Thimmapur Mandal for the Jai Bapu, Jai Bheem, Jai Samvidhan programme. He undertook organisational responsibilities in coordinating the programme at the mandal level.
• West Bengal Assembly Elections – 2026- During the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections, SK. Siraj Hussain served as an Observer for the Chunchura Constituency under the AICC Minority Department, carrying out responsibilities assigned as part of the election organisation.
• Master Trainer – SIR, 2026- In 2026, SK. Siraj Hussain served as a Master Trainer for the SIR programme in the Bhupalpally Assembly Constituency. In this role, he was entrusted with training and organisational responsibilities related to the programme.
• SK. Siraj Hussain was entrusted with a significant responsibility by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee in connection with the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) of electoral rolls. He was selected and trained as a Master Trainer during the statewide training programme conducted for all 119 Assembly Constituencies in Telangana. Subsequently, he was assigned to the Bhupalpally Assembly Constituency, where he conducted training and awareness sessions for Booth Level Agents (BLAs), Congress Party leaders, and grassroots workers on the procedures and operational aspects of SIR.
• As part of the training, SK. Siraj Hussain explained the purpose and process of SIR, the role of party functionaries in electoral-roll-related activities, and the importance of creating public awareness regarding the revision process. During SIR Part–2, he was further entrusted with the responsibility of Assembly Coordinator for the Bhupalpally Assembly Constituency. He remained there for nearly two to three months, coordinating with party leaders, BLAs, and workers across the constituency and supporting the systematic implementation of the SIR programme.

Advisory Role in Minority Employees Association
SK. Siraj Hussain serves as an Advisor to the District Minority Employees Association, Karimnagar District, contributing his experience and guidance towards the welfare and interests of minority employees.

SK. Siraj Hussain has assisted residents of Karimnagar Town in accessing essential government welfare benefits, including Ration Cards, old-age pensions, widow and handicapped pensions, Kalyana Lakshmi, and Shadi Mubarak schemes.

SK. Siraj Hussain was working as a Computer Operator at the Government Hospital in Karimnagar District during the pandemic. Alongside his regular duties, he was entrusted with additional responsibilities connected with COVID-19 data management and hospital-related information systems.

3. Role as COVID Data Manager
As a COVID Data Manager, SK. Siraj Hussain was involved in the systematic management and maintenance of essential COVID-related information. His responsibilities supported the proper organisation of data and contributed to the coordination of information required during the pandemic response.

4. Assistance to Patients and Families
SK. Siraj Hussain extended support to patients and their families who approached the government hospital during the pandemic. He assisted people in understanding relevant information and helped them navigate the available processes and support mechanisms during a period of considerable uncertainty.
