Satrucharla Vijaya Ramaraju

Satrucharla Vijaya Ramaraju is the MLC(Member of the Legislative council) of Srikakulam Constituency, Andhra Pradesh. He was born on 04-08-1948 to Balagangadhar Narayana Raju & Kumodo Kumari Devi in Chinamerangi(v), Vizianagaram(D).

He has completed his Intermediate from Rajaiah College in Bobbili(Andhra Pradesh). Vijay Ram Raju Satrucharla Zamindar of China Merangi Samsthan(Chinamerangi Fort).

Vijaya Ramaraju started his political journey with the Janata party and was the Leader. In 1978, He elected as an MLA for the First time of Naguru Constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

Later, Ramaraju joined the Congress Party. Ramaraju won five times as an MLA in the Naguru & Parvathipuram Constituencies From 1983-2009. In 1983, Satrucharla Vijaya Rama Raju was the MLA of Congress Party in Naguru Constituency. In 1985, He was the MLA of the Congress Party in Naguru Constituency.

From 1985-1986, he was the Member of the Committee on Estimates. Ramaraju elected as a Member of the 9th Lok Sabha of Parvathipuram, in 1989. In 1990, He was the Member of the Committee on Environment and Forests.

In 1991, Ramaraju Re-elected as a Member of the 10th Lok Sabha(2nd Term) and again Re-elected as a Member of the 12th Lok Sabha(3rd Term) in 1998 of Parvathipuram Constituency.

From 1998-1999, Ramaraju was the Member of the Committee on Science and Technology, Environment and Forests; and its Sub-Committee on Food technology. He was the Member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Railways.

In 1999, He was the MLA of the Congress Party in Naguru Constituency. In 2004, He was the MLA of Congress Party in Parvathipuram Constituency. From 2004-2009, Ramaraju was served as a Ministers for Forests, Environment, Sciences & Technology of Andhra Pradesh.

In 2009, He was the MLA of Congress Party in Parvathipuram Constituency. In 2009, Ramaraju again elected as a Minister for Transport of Andhra Pradesh. In 2010, He Re-elected as a Minister for Forests, Environment, Sciences & Technology.

Ramaraju joined the Telugu Desam Party. In 2014, He contested as an MLC but he Lost. In 2017, Ramaraju again contested as an MLC and he won the MLC(Member of the Legislative council) of Srikakulam Constituency, Andhra Pradesh from TDP.
