Sarella Prasanna Kumar

Sarella Prasanna Kumar is an Indian politician and Senior Leader of the Congress Party from Rameswaram, Sakhinetipalli Mandal. He is a prominent Leader of Congress with plenty of experience in the Political field.

Born and Education:

He was born on 15th May 1975 to the couple Chittabai and Shanthaleela in Rameswaram.

In 1990, Prasanna Kumar obtained his Board of Secondary Education at ZP high school, located at Rameswaram. In 1993, He earned ITI from ASNGSK, Tanuku.

Professional Life:

Prasanna Kumar had a successful professional life as a businessman in addition to his political career. He was running the Heartyculture Business and had a 15years of experience in it.

Political Career of Prasanna Kumar:

Prasanna Kumar has a keen interest in Public Service. He believes “A Politician is someone with good communication and interpersonal skills, who can work with a range of other people, regardless of political party or opinion, to achieve the greatest good for the general population”. His passion for Social Service debuted him in Politics.

In 1995, Prasanna Kumar officially entered into Politics with the Indian National Congress(INC) party which is ruling under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi.

As soon as he joined the party, Prasanna Kumar established himself as a Public Leader by contributing to the party’s welfare initiatives. Party officials identified him as a Party Worker and a Social Worker in recognition of his efforts and hard work.

Prasanna Kumar has been successful in solving people’s problems in his political career he made him always available for the people of Rameswaram to solve their needs irrespective of time.

Prasanna Kumar who was deeply involved in Indian Politics for more than 15years had acquired a great reputation among the people. Throughout his 15-year political career, his contributions to the country’s development and public welfare have elevated him to a Senior Leader from Rameswaram, Sakhinetipalli Mandal.

Congress Party Activities:

-Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary was celebrated by the party leaders under the auspices of the Congress party at the Mamdidkuduru Mandal, Mamdidkuduru Center. On this occasion, the leaders of the Congress Party laid wreaths at the Mahatma Gandhi statue and paid tributes.

-Congress Party district committee vice-chairman Rudraraju Gopalakrishna Raju has demanded the government release a New Job Calendar. He was speaking at the Rajouri constituency Congress party meeting. Congress senior leaders Prasanna Kumar, Satish Kumar, and Venkateswara Rao were present on the occasion

-The Razole constituency leaders have demanded an immediate reduction in the rising petrol, diesel, and gas prices. Congress party leaders held a dharna on the road at Mamdidkuduru and handed over a petition to Tehsildar Sujatha to immediately reduce the inflated rates

Social Activities:

• Prasanna Kumar served as Social Activist in Rameswaram village. He gave his helping hand in his unique ways.
• As a part of Environmental Protection, Prasanna Kumar has taken an active role by participating in the Palle Pragathi and Clean and green by casting the plants in the village.
• He stood up for the poor and ensured the development of welfare. He always raises his hands to serve the poor.
• During his reign, many development activities have been implemented such as laying roads, setting up water tanks, clearance of drainage issues, power supply, etc.
• On the occasion of Birth, Death Anniversaries of the Political Leaders, Prasanna Kumar conducted blood donations, and eye camps.
• As a part of Haritha Haram, massive plantation programs were taken up and distributed Plants to the village people.
• He carries out his responsibilities while looking after the welfare of the people living in the village and zone by clearing the issues related to Water, drainage, and every minute problem to the individual.
• Distributed Books, pads, and Stationary things to the Students and motivates them to score high marks.
• With the intention of no student can illiterate due to lack of money Prasanna Kumar financially assisted the poor students.
• He continues to fight for eradicating the idea of caste and religious differences in society and doing his part for human equality.
• Prasanna Kumar and Congress leaders have demanded that the government reduce petrol and diesel prices.

Service During the Pandemic Covid-19

-Prasanna Kumar rendered his service to the Rameswaram people even during the corona which terrorized the whole country.

-He distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.

-He donates rice bags, vegetables, and medicine to covid victims who are suffering from covid and cannot go out to fetch food. He also supported the poor financially by providing essential goods for those who could not find employment or food due to the lockdown.

-Provided Annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis.

-Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.

-Prasanna Kumar put effort even during the Covid second wave.

-He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people. Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and the effects of the virus.

-Organized awareness programs on precautions to be taken to prevent covid and said no need to panic.

-The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.
