Santosh Kumar Baratam

Santosh Kumar Baratam is the Visakha Parliament Working Committee Member from Andhra Pradesh and Active Political Leader. He was born on 29th July 1990 to the couple Sai Raju Baratam and Ratnamkumari Baratam in Srikakulam.

Education Background:

In 2006, Santosh Kumar completed his schooling at NTR MH School located at Srikakulam. In 2008, he earned Intermediate from SVN Vocational College, Visakhapatnam. He received a Graduation with a Degree from Andhra University. Santosh Kumar gets into his Master’s. He attained an MBA in Retail Management and finance at Magnus College and resided at Vishakapatnam. He acquired his Post Graduation in Interior Designing Course(Correspondent B arch) from 2013-2017.

A career in Politics:

With a strong commitment and motto of serving people, Santosh started his political career. He joined the Telugu Desam Party(TDP).

About TDP Party:

TDP is a regional Indian political party active in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The party was founded by N.T.Rama Rao on 29 March 1982. TDP was the first regional party to become the main opposition party at the 8th Lok Sabha from 1984 to 1989. TDP commits to safeguarding “the political, economic, social, and cultural foundations of Telugu-speaking people”.

He worked as an Active Member of the party and took part in a lot of TDP party activities. He was promoted to TDP Youth Leader due to his active participation. Santosh resigned from the TDP. He switched over to the Janasena Party in 2014.

Janasena Party is an Indian regional political party based in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. It was founded by Tollywood actor and politician Pawan Kalyan on 14 March 2014. Jana Sena means “People’s Army”. The motto of the party is “fight for the rights of each common person”. The main goal of Jana Sena is to question any type of corruption in government functioning and organizations and to protect the basic rights of people.

He took charge as Visakha Parliament Working Committee Member from the Janasena party and currently serving the position. Santosh was the Chairman and Managing Director of the PR GROUP of Service, Visakhapatnam.

Santosh established the People’s Seva Samithi Organization & Trust to contribute to society and our peers and he has been working as the Chairman of it since 2020. Santosh got to prominence in politics in a relatively short period by constantly resolving public issues. In the same year, he was appointed and served as State Kalinga Vassya Association Joint Secretary and gave his contribution to fulfill his roles and responsibilities. He was a proud Kalinga Vaishya from a very early age, participating in a variety of charitable endeavors.

Santosh was a constant fighter on farmer’s issues. He initiated justice for the farmers. He was awarded the “Mahatma Gandhi Seva Puraskar Award” in 2020. During the presentation of the award, the officials said that the services you are rendering to society are unforgettable. Authorities present a “Certificate of Appreciation” to Santosh Kumar Baratam for his outstanding service during the Covid crisis.

Janasena leaders staged a large-scale dharna to protest the Chinese attack. Santosh called on the people to worship the Matti Vinayaka for environmental protection.
