I am Chitipolu Saizen Shekar, born on 4th February 1977 in Nacharam village, Ghatkesar Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, Telangana, to Shri Chitipolu Maryana and Smt. Chitipolu Shankaramma. Raised in a humble rural family, I was instilled with the timeless values of simplicity, hard work, and social responsibility. These early influences in Nacharam shaped my character and instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and commitment to community service, which continue to guide every step of my personal and public life.

My educational journey began at Modern High School, Musheerabad, where I completed my Secondary Board of Education in 1992. I pursued Intermediate studies at S.V.S Junior College, Vidhya Nagar, and later earned my B.Com degree from Kamaraju University, Madurai. Driven by a passion for fitness and community wellness, I founded Saizen Gym in Nacharam in 1999 and expanded it with Saizen Golds Gym and Saizen Gold AC Gym in Habsiguda in 2002. These ventures allowed me to serve the community while building a strong foundation for my future endeavours in public life.

My political journey commenced in 2004 under the mentorship of Shri Bandari Lakshma Reddy, and I have remained steadfast in my dedication to the people ever since. From my active role in the Telangana Statehood Movement and various leadership positions in NSUI, Youth Congress, and BRS, to my election as Corporator and my ongoing social initiatives, I have always placed public welfare above all. Whether through infrastructure development, environmental conservation, or relief during the COVID-19 pandemic, my mission remains unchanged — to serve with integrity, transparency, and unwavering commitment.

Early Life and Family Background
Chitipolu Saizen Shekar was born on 4th February 1977 in Nacharam Village, Ghatkesar Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, Telangana. He is the son of Chitipolu Maryana and Smt. Chitipolu Shankaramma. Raised in a humble and close-knit family in a rural setting, he was nurtured with values of simplicity, hard work, and social responsibility from a young age. His upbringing in Nacharam played a significant role in shaping his character, empathy toward people, and a strong sense of community belonging.

Educational Qualifications
Saizen Shekar completed his Secondary Board of Education in 1992 from Modern High School, Musheerabad, where he built a strong academic foundation and developed a disciplined approach to learning.

He then pursued his Intermediate studies at S.V.S Junior College in Vidhya Nagar, further strengthening his knowledge and analytical skills. He successfully completed his B.Com Degree from Kamaraju University in Madurai. This progressive educational journey equipped him with both academic excellence and practical insights that would later support his professional and public service endeavours.

Founding of Saizen Gym, Nacharam (1999)
In 1999, Saizen Shekar founded Saizen Gym in Nacharam with a clear vision of promoting physical fitness and holistic well-being in the community. This initiative marked his successful entry into the health and wellness industry, reflecting his passion for encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle among the people.

Expansion into Habsiguda – Saizen Golds Gym and Saizen Gold AC Gym (2002)
In 2002, Saizen Shekar expanded his entrepreneurial footprint by establishing Saizen Golds Gym in Habsiguda. Recognising the growing demand for premium fitness facilities, he further introduced Saizen Gold AC Gym in the same area, delivering a complete and luxurious fitness experience with state-of-the-art equipment, group classes, and professional personal training.

Political Journey and Enduring Commitment of Saizen Shekar
Saizen Shekhar embarked on his political career in 2004 under the able guidance and mentorship of Shri Bandari Lakshma Reddy (BLR). The consistent encouragement and inspiration extended by Shri Bandari Lakshma Reddy played a decisive role in shaping his political path and strengthening his resolve to enter public life.

Despite facing numerous challenges and shifts in the political landscape over the years, Saizen Shekhar has remained steadfast in his dedication to public service. He has consistently honoured his commitment to serving the people with sincerity and integrity, staying firmly aligned with the core principles and values upheld by Shri Bandari Lakshma Reddy.

Entry into Student Politics – National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) – 2004
Saizen Shekar commenced his political voyage in 2004 by joining the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress.

Driven by a profound passion for public affairs and a desire to resolve societal issues, he began offering humble yet sincere service to the community through organised student platforms. This initial step laid the cornerstone for his future political endeavours, rooted in the principles of justice and people-centric governance.

Elevation to Youth Congress District General Secretary, Rangareddy – 2006
In 2006, recognising his outstanding performance and people-friendly approach, Saizen Shekar was appointed as Youth Congress District General Secretary for Rangareddy. In this capacity, he extended timely support to individuals seeking assistance and worked relentlessly to address the diverse requirements of the local populace. His efforts during this period earned him widespread respect and established him as a reliable youth leader within the Congress fold.

Appointment as GHMC Youth Congress General Secretary, Telangana – 2008
In 2008, Saizen Shekar was elevated to the prestigious position of GHMC Youth Congress General Secretary for Telangana. Despite his relatively young age and limited experience, he embraced the role with exceptional enthusiasm and diligence, successfully executing all assigned responsibilities. This appointment marked a significant milestone, highlighting his leadership calibre and growing stature within the party structure.

Independent Contest for 4th Division Corporator, Nacharam – 2009
During the 2009 GHMC elections, Saizen Shekar contested as an independent candidate for the 4th Division Corporator seat in Nacharam. He secured an impressive 30,433 votes, demonstrating strong public support despite the contest being extremely competitive. Although he narrowly missed victory, his commendable performance earned him recognition as a promising and influential young leader.

Active Role in the Telangana Movement – Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) – 2009 
As a passionate Telangana activist, Saizen Shekar played a prominent role in the Telangana statehood agitation through his association with the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) in Nacharam from 2009.

He actively participated in protests, strikes, hunger strikes, road blockades, the Million March, and numerous rallies to champion the demand for a separate Telangana state. His relentless contribution to the movement reflected his deep emotional connect with the aspirations of the Telangana people and significantly strengthened the statehood campaign.

Joining Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) – 14 September 2018

 
On 14 September 2018, Saizen Shekar formally joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the presence of Honorable Shri. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao and senior leader Bandari Lakshma Reddy. This strategic move represented a natural evolution in his political career, driven by his strong conviction in village development, regional progress, and effective governance. He was warmly welcomed into the party, marking the beginning of a new and impactful phase in his public service journey.

Family and Personal Background

Smt. Shanti Saizen Shekar is an accomplished Indian politician associated with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Party. She currently serves as the Corporator of the 6th Division, Nacharam, in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, Telangana.

She completed her graduation from Sri Hindu Degree College, Ramannapet, in 2022. Smt. Shanti Saizen Shekar married Shri Saizen Shekar in December 2002 with the blessings of both families. The couple is blessed with two children, Sahithi and Saidev, and they reside in Nacharam.

Political Career of Smt. Shanti Saizen Shekar

Smt. Shanti Saizen Shekar entered the political arena in 2016 by joining the Indian National Congress (INC). Working closely with her husband Shri Saizen Shekar, she actively participated in numerous development and welfare initiatives, emerging as a sincere and responsible leader dedicated to the progress of Nacharam.

In 2018, Smt. Shanti and Shri Saizen Shekar strategically aligned themselves with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Party, inspired by the visionary leadership of Telangana First Chief Minister Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and senior leader Shri Bandari Lakshma Reddy (BLR). This transition enabled them to broaden their service to the people through a more dynamic and development-oriented platform.

During the 2020 Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, Smt. Shanti Saizen Shekar contested for the 6th Division Corporator seat in Nacharam under the women’s reservation category on a BRS ticket. Owing to her consistent grassroots work, sincere approach, and visible contributions to local development, she earned the strong support and confidence of the residents.

She secured a decisive victory and was elected as Corporator of the 6th Division, reflecting the trust placed in her by the people of Nacharam. Since assuming office, she has continued to work with dedication toward the overall welfare and advancement of her division.

Notable Social and Developmental Initiatives by Chitipolu Saizen Shekar

War Against Mosquitoes – “దోమలపై యుద్ధం సైజెన్ సిద్ధం” (2016)

In 2016, Saizen Shekar launched a sustained campaign titled War Against Mosquitoes during the elections to tackle the severe mosquito menace in Nacharam village. For four consecutive years, he worked relentlessly to control the mosquito population and mitigate its impact on public health. His persistent efforts significantly reduced health hazards and earned appreciation from the residents of Nacharam.

Five-Hour Dharna Highlighting Rainfall-Related Issues

As a GHMC leader, Saizen Shekar staged a five-hour dharna by sitting on the road amid heavy rainwater to draw attention to the problems caused by incessant rains. Along with party leaders, he demanded 5 crore for bridge repairs and immediate removal of Water Hyacinth (Gurrapu Dekka) from HMT Nagar and Patel Kunta pond. This symbolic protest underscored the urgent need for effective drainage and infrastructure solutions in the area.

Construction of Seven Bridges in Nacharam Village

Observing the severe flooding and water stagnation caused by heavy rains in Nacharam, Saizen Shekar promptly approached the concerned authorities with a clear representation of the villagers’ hardships. His timely intervention resulted in the sanction and construction of seven vital bridges across the village. This infrastructure achievement substantially reduced water logging, improved connectivity, and brought immense relief to the residents.

Community Protests Against Gurrapu Dekka (Water Hyacinth)

Saizen Shekar, along with local residents, organised widespread protests in Damala, Patel Kunta, HMT Nagar, and Pedda Cheruvu to address the growing menace of Gurrapu Dekka. The demonstrations highlighted issues related to inadequate infrastructure, safety hazards, and daily inconveniences faced by the public. Through sustained agitation and signature campaigns, he successfully secured 90% of the required funds for resolution.

Diverting Sewage Water from Patel Kunta Cheruvu

Saizen Shekar initiated a critical project to divert sewage water away from Patel Kunta Cheruvu, aiming to restore water quality and preserve the ecological balance of the lake. This proactive measure significantly reduced pollution and improved the overall health of the water body. His environmental initiative reflected a strong commitment to sustainable development and community well-being.

Beautification of HMT Nagar Lake in Nacharam

Driven by a vision to enhance the aesthetic and recreational value of HMT Nagar Lake, Saizen Shekar successfully secured 3.14 crore for its beautification. The project included the construction of a walking track, installation of lighting, and other civic amenities for public use. This development has transformed the lake into a serene space for leisure, exercise, and community bonding.

Expansion of HMT Nagar Lake Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)
Saizen Shekar played a pivotal role in enhancing the capacity of the HMT Nagar Lake Sewage Treatment Plant from 10 MLD to 16.5 MLD. He persistently followed up with higher authorities, resulting in the allocation of 32 crore for this vital infrastructure upgrade. The expansion has greatly improved sewage management, reduced water pollution, and promoted long-term environmental sustainability.

Mitigation of Sewage Inflow into Patel Kunta Pond

For many years, Saizen Shekar worked to resolve the issues of foul odor and garbage accumulation at Patel Kunta Pond. In collaboration with Uppal MLA Shri. Bethi Subhash Reddy and Nacharam Corporator Smt. Shanti Saizen Shekar, he facilitated the installation of a large pipeline at a cost of ₹80 lakh. This intervention successfully prevented contaminated water from entering the pond, improving its overall condition.

Allocation of 1 Crore for Hindu Graveyard Transformation

Saizen Shekar and Smt. Shanti Saizen Shekar submitted multiple petitions to transform the Hindu Graveyard into a well-maintained Vaikuntadamam. Their persistent efforts led to the sanction of ₹1 crore for the construction of a compound wall, internal roads, and drainage facilities. This development has provided a dignified and organised space for the community.

Road Development and Infrastructure Improvement in Nacharam

Recognising the dangers posed by poorly maintained roads in Nacharam, Saizen Shekar approached higher authorities and secured government funding for concrete (CC) road construction. His sustained follow-up resulted in the completion of nearly 70% of the proposed road projects. These improvements have enhanced safety, reduced accidents, and facilitated smoother daily commuting for villagers.

Resolution of Earthen Dam Construction for Indira Nagar Truck Lane

Saizen Shekar successfully resolved the long-pending issue of constructing an earthen dam beside the Indira Nagar Truck Lane by directly approaching Commissioner Janardhan Reddy. The intervention led to the sanction of ₹2.5 crore for the project, which now helps regulate water flow and prevent flooding in the area. This achievement demonstrates his effectiveness in securing practical solutions for critical infrastructure needs.

Empowerment of Nacharam SC Colony

Saizen Shekar proactively addressed the concerns of the Scheduled Caste community in Nacharam by ensuring the development of well-maintained roads and street lights. He also facilitated the installation of water pipelines to resolve water scarcity and extended support for education and families affected by accidents. These targeted interventions have significantly improved living conditions and opportunities for the SC community in the area.

Active Role in the Telangana Statehood Movement

Saizen Shekar played an instrumental and dedicated role in the historic Telangana Movement, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the creation of a separate Telangana state. He actively participated in large-scale protests, demonstrations, and sustained political advocacy aimed at securing statehood for the region. Through strategic mobilisation of public support and consistent awareness campaigns, he effectively highlighted the long-standing grievances and legitimate aspirations of the people of Telangana.

Saizen Shekar collaborated closely with fellow activists, community leaders, and various organisations to build a strong and unified front. His sustained efforts significantly contributed to the collective struggle that ultimately led to the formation of the separate state of Telangana on 2nd June 2014.

His involvement in the movement stands as a powerful testament to his deep-rooted belief in regional identity, self-determination, and the need for equitable development and political empowerment for the people of Telangana.

Pandemic Services

• During the COVID-19 lockdown, Saizen Shekar quietly and selflessly reached out to assist those severely affected, distributing fresh vegetables and fruits to villagers, homeless individuals, and municipal workers while strictly adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines in place.
  
• He extended vital support to the poor and vulnerable by providing essential items such as masks, hand sanitizers, food packets, and direct monetary assistance to help families cope with the crisis.
  
• Saizen Shekar organised awareness demonstrations and community programs to educate residents about the importance of maintaining social distancing and following precautionary measures, contributing effectively to efforts aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
  
• Once the threat of the virus began to subside, he coordinated thorough sanitation drives by arranging for sodium hypochlorite solution to be sprayed across the entire village, ensuring residents were protected from any residual harmful effects.
