Ratakonda Babu Reddy (Reddappa Reddy)

Ratakonda Reddappa Reddy, famously called Babu Reddy, is an Indian Politician of TDP and Senior Leader of Madanapalle of Annamayya District, Andhra Pradesh.

CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION:

On the 16th of January 1959, Ratakonda Babu Reddy was born to the couple Mr. Ratakonda Ranga Reddy and Mrs. Ratakonda Saraswathamma and raised in Madanapalle in Annayamma District in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Babu Reddy obtained his Secondary School Certificate from Zilla Parishad High School at Madanapalle in Annamayya District.

Babu Reddy graduated with a bachelor of commerce(B.Com) from Besant Theosophical College, Madanapalle, affiliated with Sri Venkateswara University.

CAREER IN POLITICS:

Mr. Ratakonda Babu Reddy began his political career as an Active Member of the Telugu Desam Party(TDP) in 1983 during the State leadership of the former CM of Andhra Pradesh, Late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, under the guidance and presence of his fatherRatakonda Ranga Reddy(Ex-Samithi President) and his Father’s Brother Ratakonda Narayana Reddy(Ex-MLA of Madanapalle) and began serving the people regardless of their Caste, Race, Gender, and Religion for the progress and development of the people.

As a Member of the TDP, Babu Reddy takes a keen interest in every conceptual aspect. He participates in all activities as a Party Activist by carrying out his obligations by a code of conduct and for the recognition of the relevant party.

Ratakonda Babu Reddy(Reddappa Reddy) has been a Dedicated Party Member since the party’s establishment. He has used every resource to advance its goals and improve society.

He keeps the confidence that the individuals have placed in him and continues his service, focusing on the welfare of the people at present and engaging in activities that would promote Party advancement.

He never failed to provide his unwavering humanitarian services to the villagers.

As an Andhra Pradesh Activist:

Mr Ratakonda Babu Reddy was an Andhra Pradesh Activist; He Participated in the Samaikyandhra Movement to prevent the division of the state – separating the Telangana districts into a separate Telangana state by providing academic support.

The hunger strike was organised as a part of the Samaikyandha movement and participated in all programs conducted by the Senior NTR of the TDP.

Party Activities:

• He is challenging the government to provide appropriate employment by allocating Job opportunities to the jobless, concerned about finding a respectable job even after graduation.
• Babu Reddy has taken the responsibility to defend children’s rights and guarantee that no child is exposed to labour and exploitation.
• At the behest of the TDP, rallies are being held across the state to voice their disapproval and opposition to decisions made in the three capitals.
• He stated that unemployment, not differences between faiths and castes, drives the growth of party ideology. He worked for the party because he was drawn to its tenets.
• Babu Reddy stayed in the event of difficulties with the villagers’ land, disputed the issues, and transferred the land to them.
• The Pasupu Kumkuma Scheme was made available to the local women to give financial support to women enrolled with self-help organisations.
• Babu Reddy enthusiastically participated in the Senior NTR-organized foot march (Padayatra).

Services Rendered During The Pandemic Covid:

• The pandemic had a devastating effect on people’s life. During the Covid crisis, it was challenging for regular people to stay alive.
• During the Pandemic Period, Mr. Babu Reddy handed out fruit, meal packets, and water bottles to the people living by the roadsides. In addition, he provided free blankets to those individuals. He donated monetarily to the cause and provided the migrants with food and rice bags.
• To combat the spread of the pandemic in Corona, he has organised an awareness campaign focusing on the need to keep a safe distance from infected individuals and use appropriate safety precautions.
• He offered sufferers of the covid virus financial assistance and the provision of vitamin pills, masks, and sanitisers.
• Even after the second wave of the covid infection, Mr. Babu Reddy continued to put his efforts into helping other individuals.
• The residents of the village, as well as others who were in need, received vegetables and fruits from him. The Covid-19 vaccination and the consequences of the virus were the subjects of awareness campaigns at camps and seminars that were conducted.
• The region contaminated with the coronavirus has been designated as a red zone, and residents have been informed of the necessary safety measures and precautions to take.

FAMILY COOPERATION IN POLITICS

Mr Ratakonda Ranga Reddy- 

Ratakonda Ranga Reddy is the Father of Mr Ratakonda Babu Reddy. Ratakonda Ranga Reddy and his family have a strong desire to serve others, which motivated them to create the Ratakonda Ranga Reddy Samithi from Swatanthra Party and has been serving as the President of Samithi and engage in social and welfare initiatives for the Madanapalle Constituency.

Involvement in Welfare Activities: 

• With the community’s support, the team has requested the state government to sanction a school in Madanapalle and construct several schools for the children’s future.
• As a result of the belief in the phrase Changing Health Care for Good, Health Care Centres/Camps were developed annually in the community and provided free medical care to the populace.
• Regarding public safety and security, Ratakonda Reddappa Reddy has constructed and widened roads in a number of villages around Madanapalle.
• Several borewells and water filters were installed in each community to reduce the water shortage and offer fluoride-free water throughout the city.

Mr Ratakonda Narayana Reddy- 

Mr Ratakonda Narayana Reddy was a committed party leader. By dedicating his life to the service of the public, Narayana Reddy paved a political route for the Ratakonda family.

During the elections in the early 1990s (1983-1985 and 1985-1989), Mr Ratakonda Narayana Reddy was elected as the MLA for the Madanapalle Constituency in Andhra Pradesh to assist the people and address their concerns by carrying out his responsibilities efficiently and conform to the party’s principles and standards.

Mr. Ratakonda Sagar Reddy- 

Mr Ratakodna Sagar Reddy moved in the 1994 general election and was elected from the Telugu Desam Party as the Madanapalle Constituency MLA to care for the people and their problems. He then fulfilled his responsibilities by providing services to the people to meet their requirements.

He upholds the confidence reposed in him by the people and continues his service, focusing on the immediate welfare of the people and the Party’s growth.

In 2009, Sagar Reddy’s uncompromising focus and commitment devotion to service earned him a promotion to the TDP’s MPL Incharge position, which he held until 2013 to promote the proper focus on the need for an effective and comprehensive expansion of the population by doing his part to relieve the difficulties faced by the people.

Participation in Development Activities:

• As the whole technology relies on power, particularly in the village, electric poles were installed in a number of Madanapalle Town villages to safeguard the community and its people.
• In a number of Madanapalle villages, beneficiaries were provided with new housing plans with the support of the state government.
• At the request of the disabled and widowed women, monthly stipends were provided for their subsistence.

Mrs. Ratakonda Shobha-

Mrs Ratakonda Shobha is an Indian politician of the TDP who, like Mr Ratakonda Babu Reddy, serves the people.

Mrs Ratakonda Shoba, a candidate for the Madanapalle Constituency MLA position in Andhra Pradesh during the 1999 General Elections, was elected with a majority of 54931 votes.

Due to her dedication, zeal, and altruism on behalf of the people of the state and their needs, Mrs Shobha has been continuing his Adimistartion work since 1994 by doing her part to mitigate the hardships people face.

Engagement in Social Activities:

• As part of the town’s growth, all available government money was used to construct new CC roads in many Madanapalle villages.
• Many water tanks were constructed in Madanapalle’s urban and rural regions to offer purified drinking water and reduce the likelihood of water shortages, particularly in the summer.
• When the water crisis arose from 2002 to 2004, the Ratakonda family lent a helping hand by providing access to water from their own field bores so that people could manage and overcome the water shortage.
• In an effort to avoid repeating the same mistake, they conceived of a novel solution and constructed dams for water storage at their own cost, keeping in mind future events.
• Mrs Babu Shobha donated new homes to those who lost their homes in a fire disaster that occurred during the rainy season and was caused by a short circuit.

Mr. Ratakonda Vishnu Vardan Reddy

Vishnu Vardan Reddy has been exposed to leadership skills from childhood since his family were political figures. Vishnu Vardan’s family has served as a model for his continued commitment to the public, given his respected political standing.

Mr. Ratakonda Vishnuvardan Reddy is the son of Mr. Ratakonda Babu Reddy (Reddappa Reddy). From 2014, Vishuvardan Reddy was an Active Member of the Telugu Desam Party.

In 2021, he was appointed Rajampet Parliament Telugu Yuvata Vice President of the Telugu Desam Party in recognition of his complete devotion and efforts for the betterment of humanity. Since then, he has shown a genuine interest in every action for the honour of the relevant Society.
