Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Razole. He was born in 1958 to Venkata Rao in Chintalamori Village, Malikapuram Mandal, East Godavari district. Basically, he is from an Agricultural family. From 1978-1979, he completed Intermediate from AFDT junior college, Malikipuram.

From 1980-1982, he Discontinued B.A from Andhra University in Razole. In 2009, he started his political journey with the Congress Party and was the Active Leader. In 2009, he was elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Razole Constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

In 2019, He joined Jana Sena Party and Senior Leader. In 2019, he re-elected for the post of Member of Legislative Assembly from Razole Constituency. He was the only member elected from the Jana Sena Party in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election.

A man of word, he started supporting YCP ideologies on the inclusion of English Education and three state capitalization against his party ideologies, and for this received backlash from Pawan Kalyan Supporters. He has done many Social Activities.
