Raosaheb Danve is the Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Jalna Constituency and Minister of State Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He was born on 18th March 1955 to Kesharabai Danve and Dada-Rao Danve in Jalna, Bombay State, India. Early Life and Education:

Danve has completed his Graduate B A. From Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open Vidhyapith Nashik, Moreshwar Arts Science Commerce College Bhokardan Dist Jalna.
Raosaheb Danve married Nirmala Tai. They have 3 daughters & Son Santosh Danve, who is a Bhartiya Janata Party MLA from Bhokardan Legislative Constituency.

Biography:

Raosaheb Dadarao Danve was born on 18 March 1955 in Jalna of Maharashtra. He is the son of Dada-Rao Danve and Kesharabai Danve. He completed his BA from J.E.S., Jalna, Maharashtra. On May 17, 1977, Raosaheb Danve married Nirmala Tai and the couple has 3 daughters and one son Santosh Danve, who is an MLA from Legislative Constituency Bhokardan. The constituency belongs to Bhartiya Janata Party. Danve represents BJP in the 16th Lok Sabha.

He currently holds the position of Maharashtra President Bharatiya Janata Party. Raosaheb Danve-Patil won the Jalna constituency for the fourth time during the general elections that were held in May 2014. He was given the portfolio for Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He held the position till March 2015. Danve resigned as a minister and in January 2015 was appointed as the President of Maharashtra BJP by Amit Shah, the national President of BJP. Following his appointment, Raosaheb Danve became only the second person in Maharashtra BJP to hold the office while also being a Member of Parliament. Earlier, late Suryabhan Vahadane Patil had successfully carried the dual responsibility. In 2019, he contested and won the Jalna Lok Sabha seat and defeated Dr. Sharadchandra Wankhede of VBA by a margin of over two lakh votes.

Political Career:

Raosaheb Danve started his political career with the Sarpanch in his Village. From 1980-1981, He was the Sabhapati of Panchayat Samiti in Bhokardan.
Raosaheb joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and was the President of Bharatiya Janata Party (B.J.P.), Distt. Jalna, Maharashtra. He was the Vice-President of BJP from Maharashtra. He was the Chairman of  Tehsil Monitoring Committee BJP in Bhokardan, Maharashtra. He was the Chairman of the District Monitoring Committee from BJP in Jalna, Maharashtra.

In the last 30 years, from a Sarpanch to an MP and later a Minister of State, Raosaheb has held various leadership positions. Earlier, he has been a General Secretary of Maharashtra BJP, and twice the Vice President. Danve has been renowned as a leader with rural roots. He started his journey as a Sarpanch.
Raosaheb Danve Became an MLA from Bhokardan assembly constituency, From 1990-1995 to 1995-1999. In 1995, He was the Chairman of the Panchayati Raj Committee and was the Chairman of the Assurances Committee.

In 1999, Raosaheb Danve was elected as a Member of Parliament, 13th Lok Sabha from Jalna Constituency of BJP. From 1999-2000, He was the Member of the Committee on Commerce. From 2000-2004, He was a Member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Rural Development. In 2004, he was Re-elected to MP, 14th Lok Sabha (2nd term) from Jalna Constituency of BJP and was the Member of Standing Committee on Finance, Member of Consultative Committee & Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. In 2007, Danve was the Member of the Standing Committee on Agriculture.

In 2009, Raosaheb Danve was MP, Re-elected to 15th Lok Sabha (3rd term) from Jalna Constituency of BJP, and was the Member of Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas. He was the Member of the Standing Committee on Commerce. In 2014, He was Re-elected to MP,16th Lok Sabha (4th term) from Jalna Constituency of BJP. From 2014-2015, Danve was the Union Minister of State, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. From 2014-2019, Raosaheb Danve was State President of BJP, Maharashtra.

From 2015-2019, He was a Member of the Standing Committee on Information Technology. From 2016-2017, He was the Member of the Committee on Estimates.  In 2019, Raosaheb Danve contested and won the Jalna Lok Sabha seat and defeated Dr. Sharadchandra Wankhede of VBA by a margin of over 200000 votes.

From 30 May 2019 onwards Raosaheb Danve was appointed as a Union Minister of State, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
