Mr. Rangu Venkatesh Goud is a distinguished personality from India and holds the position of a National Council Member of the Indian Journalist Union in Telangana.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

On the 08th December 1979, Mr. Rangu Venkatesh Goud was born and raised by the couple Mr. Rangu Sailu and Mrs. Rangu Rajamma in the Quthbullapur of Medchal-Malkajgiri District in the Indian State of Telangana.

In 1992, Venkatesh acquired his SSC Standard from Zilla Parishad High School at Nellutla and attained his Graduation of B.A. from Kakatiya University.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE:

Mr. Venkatesh Goud earned the people’s trust through his unwavering commitment to the betterment of society, which led to his appointment as the Vishalanadhra Qutbullapur Zonal Incharge in 2001. He has since served with integrity and adhered to a strict code of conduct. His journey from Qutbullapur to becoming a prominent figure in social activism is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the principles of society. As he continues to serve the people of Telangana, his legacy will be one of selfless service and unwavering dedication to the cause of the people.

Venkatesh’s journey as a professional began in 2004 when he joined Vartha as an Reporter. His dedication and hard work quickly established himself as an essential team member. During his tenure at Vartha News Channel, Venkatesh actively worked towards building a new society and encouraging the people living in the locality to become more aware of their rights and responsibilities.

• As the Incharge of Vartha news channels, he has overseen the functioning of the channel and ensured that the channel adheres to the principles of journalistic ethics. He had a thorough understanding of the latest trends in news media. He worked closely with the editorial team to develop accurate, informative, and relevant content to the audience.
• He maintains close relationships with key sources in the government, business, and community sectors to stay informed about the latest developments in the state. In addition, he monitored breaking news and ensured that the channel was the first to report on any significant events.

In 2009, Venkatesh moved to Sakshi, where he continues to serve as the Incharge. Over the years, Venkatesh has worked tirelessly to gather information about the people’s problems and inconveniences and present them to the government for resolution.

• As a Sakshi News Channel Incharge, he oversees the editorial process. he involves supervising reporters and editors, setting the editorial direction of the channel, and ensuring that content is balanced, fair, and accurate. In 2001, Venkatesh joined The Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ), a professional organization representing working journalists’ interests in the Indian state of Telangana. 

He became a Volunteer and Active Member to protect and promote the rights of working journalists in the state. He has been involved in several important issues, including press freedom, journalist safety, and media ethics. 

Since 2019, he has been a State Executive Committee Member of the esteemed TWJ-143, an ongoing association headed by the renowned Allam Narayana. His contributions to the committee have been invaluable, and his keen insights and strategic vision have helped shape the committee’s policies and decisions, leading to unprecedented success and growth.

• He conducts training programs and workshops for its members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• With the organization’s assistance, he advocates for the rights and welfare of journalists and media workers, including job security and fair wages.
• Venkatesh also provides legal assistance to journalists facing legal challenges during their work.
• He regularly organizes press conferences and events to promote freedom of the press and media ethics and encourages its members to maintain high standards of journalistic integrity and ethical conduct.
• Venkatesh organizes campaigns and protests against censorship and attempts to curtail media freedom. As a Telangana Activist:

Mr. Venkatesh Goud extended his service and worked through the Telangana Journalist Federation. He was involved in the Telangana Movement for the separate state of Telangana District from Andhra Pradesh State. He further enhanced his responsibilities by participating in Dharnas, Rallies and staying closer to the people to monitor their well-being every moment.

The Telangana movement was a significant social and political movement in India, with the activists fighting for their rights and seeking a separate state. The movement gained significant momentum from 2004 to 2014, with large-scale protests, demonstrations, civil disobedience campaigns, and political realignments. 

The creation of Telangana as a separate state in 2014 marked a major milestone in the movement’s history and had significant political implications for the region.

Positions held by Rangu Venkatesh Goud:

From 2000-2004, Venkatesh held the position of Vice President at the Quthbullapur Press Club, where he demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities and steered the club toward success.

From 2004-2008, he was a respected and esteemed Rangareddy District Executive Committee Member. His contributions to the committee were invaluable, and his keen insight and experience helped shape the committee’s policies and decisions.

Building on his success and dedication to the cause, Venkatesh served as the Rangareddy District Vice President from 2008-2013. His tireless efforts and commitment to the district earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and constituents.
