NASVI Initiatives and Contributions by Ranga Shalivan
Vaccination Drive for Street Vendors: Under the auspices of the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) and the American India Foundation (AIF), 218 street vendors were vaccinated at the Quthbullapur Arogya Street Food Vendors office in Hyderabad. NASVI State President Ranga Shalivan emphasized the program’s success, highlighting the importance of vaccination for business and health safety.
Circle Office Meeting Attendance: Ranga Shalivan attended a meeting at the Circle Office, hosted by Quthbullapur Circle Deputy Commissioner Manga Manufacturer and Glasswork Circle Deputy Commissioner Prashanti Madam, discussing key issues and initiatives.
NASVI National Conference: At the National Conference and General Body meeting in Bangalore, the Telangana Association of Street Vendors of India received the AGM award for their sincerity and services among the three states.
Training and Awareness Seminars: NASVI organized a training and awareness seminar for food street vendors in Ellam Banda Kookatpally, Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India-Telangana (FSSAI) and Nestle India. Multiple seminars have been conducted to educate street vendors.
Support During Lockdown: Ranga Shalivan distributed food packets to drivers and migrant laborers affected by the lockdown. Additionally, he provided masks, sanitizers, and financial support to the poor, raising awareness about social distancing and precautionary measures against COVID-19.
Relentless COVID-19 Efforts: Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Ranga Shalivan worked tirelessly day and night to support and look after the people, especially focusing on the poorest in the zone, ensuring they had access to necessary resources and care.
