Ramreddy Venkata Reddy was the MLA of Palair Constituency. He was born on 22-05-1944 to Narayan Reddy and Kamalamma in Pathalingala. From 1963-1967, he completed his Graduation of BA from Osmania University. Basically, he hails from an Agricultural family.

He made his entry into politics in the 1960s and served as the Sarpanch of Patalalingala and also the Chairman of Central Cooperative Bank. He joined the Indian National Congress(INC) party. He holds the position of MLA for five terms 1996-1999, 1999-2003, 2004-2009, 2009-2014 from Andhra Pradesh State.

From 2010-2014, Venkat Reddy served as Minister for Horticulture, Sericulture, RSAD. The TRS government appointed him as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Telangana State Legislature.

In 2014, in the Telangana Assembly elections, he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with a margin of 69,707 votes by defeating Baby Swarna Kumari Maddineni of the TDP. Ramreddy Venkata Reddy passed away after a prolonged illness at the age of 72.
