Pochireddygari Venkataramana Reddy

Pochireddygari Venkataramana Reddy is an Indian politician from the Southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He serves as the Market Yard Committee Chairman of YSR Kadapa District from the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).

Early Life and Education:

On the 03rd of December 1969, Venkataramana Reddy was born to the couple Mr. Pochireddygari Somireddy and Mrs. Pochireddygari Nagamma and resided at Peddapasupula Village in YSR Kadapa District in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh.

He studied at the Board Secondary School Education in Zill Parishad High School, located at Peddapasupula Village, from 1983-1984 after he completed his Intermediate in Boy’s Junior College, Jammalamadugu, in 1987.

Working:

After completing his education, Venkataramana Reddy started his own business.

Early Career in Politics:

In 1997, Venkataramana Reddy commenced his political career by joining the Indian National Congress Party (INC). And continued rendering services to the people as an Active Member of the Party.

Venkataramana Reddy has been an honest leader. He has worked for the party ever since he joined the party.

Venkataramana Reddy, One who serves people through village development, the welfare of people, and meeting the needs of everyone who comes for help, contested and won the Deputy Sarpanch election in 2000.

He assumed his duties as a Deputy Sarpanch and always stood by the people in emergency situations and always offered his help to them.

He worked for the development of the village without abusing his position and power.

After that, In 2006, he contested the Sarpanch elections and won with a huge majority. He assumed his duties as Sarpanch, swearing that he would be grateful to the people for trusting him and winning.

He used to hold Grama Panchayat meetings with all the ward members and discuss the facilities required by the people, As a Grama Sarpanch, he performed his duties with a code of conduct.

A Career in YSRCP:

Venkataramana Reddy, who is working in the Congress Party, Y.S. He joined the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in 2011 after seeing Jagan Mohan Reddy’s public service, hard work, and perseverance and believing in Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Venkataramana Reddy initiated many development works which did take inspiration from Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Also, he organized many programs for the party as a party worker.

After that, in 2022, he was selected as the Chairman of the Jammalamadugu Constituency Market Yard Committee.

Venkataramana Reddy’s Duties:

• Developing an effective marketing system, promoting agro-processing and agricultural exports.
• Ensure complete transparency in the pricing system and transactions taking place in the market area.
• Providing market-oriented extension services to farmers.
• Ensuring payment of agricultural produce sold by farmers from time to time.
• Promotion of agro-processing, including value additional activities in agricultural products.
• Dissemination of information on the arrival and rates of agricultural produce brought into the market area for sale.
• Quality testing and development of communication infrastructure.
• Conducting market surveys, research, grading, certification, and quality assurance.
• Development of media, cyber, and distance infrastructure for marketing agricultural and allied commodities.

Party and Welfare Activities:

• He Organized Grama Panchayat meetings and brought together all the members of the village, and made them aware of the government schemes.
• When he receives any notice from the government, he reads the contents and conveys the information to the people.
• He used to discuss the village’s problems with the party leaders and elders a day before the party meetings and get their views.
• The development plan in the village was explained, and the people were made conscious.
• He supported the people in the village by providing them with the necessary information from the government.
• As part of the campaign, they went to every village in the constituency and told them about the value of the right to vote.
• Participated in the rally organized on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
• Efforts are being made to encourage youth and people to join the party.
• Public awareness programs are organized in every village and town, and party symbol is made known to every house.
• Participated in the flag unveiling program on the occasion of Independence Day and unveiled the flag.

• He organizes the Swachh Bharat program in his constituency areas to keep roads, surroundings, drainages, and canals free of mosquitoes, bugs, and insects.

Social Activities:

• Efforts are being made to give pensions to the disabled, old, and widows in the village and to provide them with adequate assistance from the government.
• Free blankets, fruits, pills, and clothes are provided to poor children in orphanages and old people in old age homes.
• A free Health Camp and Blood Donation camp have been conducted under the auspicious National Leaders Birth Anniversary in the areas of the weaker section.
• During his reign, roads were laid as part of the colony’s development program, as well as repairing damaged roads.
• To help the poor in the hospital during emergencies, Venkataramana Reddy handed over the government-implemented Health Sree cards to them.
• He carries out his responsibilities while looking after the welfare of the people living in the village and zone by clearing the issues related to Water, drainage, and every minute problem to the individual.
• He resolved the problems of village developmental issues and was involved in many Social services events like Clean and Green and Casting of Plants. He also participated in the Palle Pragathi program.
• He fights for job reservations for students struggling to find a decent job after the conclusion of their education to lead their livelihood.

Services rendered during the Pandemic:

• He provided financial and humanitarian support to those impacted by the lockdown during Corona’s first and second waves. During the crisis, and responded with compassion, aiding people in distress and offering further assistance to those harmed by the locking down.
• Venkataramana Reddy assisted people affected by the lockdown by giving vegetables and fruits to villages, the homeless, and Municipality employees while following the procedures in place and distributing Covid Kits who were afflicted with the appropriate sickness while in their home quartine.
• An awareness demonstration was performed to raise awareness about social distancing and the need to take precautionary steps to eliminate the Corona Epidemic.
• When the coronavirus was finally exterminated, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed across the whole village to ensure that the villagers were not exposed to any harmful effects.
• The Covid Immunization Drive was organized in response to Prime Minister Modi’s plea to increase awareness among the general population about the need to acquire a free corona vaccination.
