Pethakamsetti Gana Venkata Reddy Naidu

Pethakamsetti Gana Venkata Reddy Naidu was a Member of the Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Visakhapatnam West Constituency from the TDP. He was born on 09-05-1969 to Appala Narasimham(Late) in Gopalapatnam.

From 1987-1990, he has completed B.Com from A.V.N College, Andhra University. He was the International Volleyball Player.

He started his political journey with the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). From 1994- 1999, He was served as ZPTC, Pendurthi. From 1999-2003, he worked as MLA of Pendurthi Constituency from the TDP.

Naidu Nominated as Director of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) in the year 2000 to 2003. He elected as Vice President of the Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association for the year 2000 to 2005.

Naidu joined the Praja Rajyam Party(PRP). Later on, he joined the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). In 2104, He was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Visakhapatnam West Assembly Constituency with the highest majority of 76,791 votes in 2014 from the TDP.

In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Elections, he was won the post of Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Visakhapatnam West Assembly Constituency with the highest majority of 68,699 votes from the TDP. He served as Government Whip of AP. He was the Parliamentary Incharge of Vizianagaram & Srikakulam.

He was selected as President of the AP Volleyball Association. He is the President of the District Volley Ball Association and Chairman of the District Olympic Association. Previously an International Volleyball Player, Naidu has represented India in about 21 international tournaments including the world cup and Superseries.

Awards:

1986 to 1987: Junior National Gold Medalist captain of Andhra Pradesh held at Calcutta (under 18 years).
1987 to 1992: Represented Andhra University in all India Inter University Championship and Captain for 3 years i.e., 1990 to 1992
Played for senior Nationals represented Andhra Pradesh from 1990 to 1995 National Volley Ball Championship held at several states and won Gold& Silver Medals
Represented Andhra Pradesh and won a Gold Medal in Pune National Games in 1992
Represented India Volley Ball Team 1990 won Silver Medal at Perth super series held at AUSTRALIA
Represented India Volley Ball Team test match in Bangkok, Thailand in 1995

భారీ వర్షాల వల్ల జనతా కాలనీ నుంచి ఏకేసీ కాలనీ వచ్చే గడ్డ మరియు కొండవాలు ప్రాంతం మైన ఇంద్ర కాలనీ, బర్మా కాలనీ , శ్రీహరిపురం నుంచి ప్రవహించే ప్రధాన గుల్లలపాలెం గడ్డ లో నీరు పొంగి నివాసితుల ప్రాంతానికి లోకి చేరింది. స్థానిక పశ్చిమ ఎమ్మెల్యే గణ బాబు గారు AKC Colony మరియు గొల్లలపాలెం సందర్శించి , హెచ్పిసిఎల్ లోపల విస్తరణ పనుల్లో పరిశ్రమ సరైన మెయింటెనెన్స్ లేకపోవడం వల్ల తరచూ వర్షాలు పడినప్పుడల్లా సమస్య తలెత్తుతుంది అని అన్నారు.

ఎమ్మెల్యే గణ వెంకట రెడ్డి నాయుడు గారు 59, 60, 61,62,63 వార్డు లో కొండవాలు ప్రాంతాల అన్ని వీధుల్లో పర్యటించారు ప్రతి ఇంటికి వెళ్లి వారికి వార్డులో పారిశుద్ధ్య, మంచినీటి కుళాయిలు వస్తున్నాయా మరియు రేషన్ డిపో లో సరుకులు సకాలంలో అందుతున్నాయా లేదా అని ఆరా తీశారు. అలాగే ప్రతి ఒక్కరు కూడా Lockdown నిబంధనల మేరకు ఇంట్లోనే ఉండి కరోనా మహమ్మారిని తరిమికొట్టాలని సూచించారు
