Born on April 12, 1963, in the scenic district of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Telangana, India, Pasham Bhaskar hails from a humble background deeply rooted in agricultural traditions. His father, Pasham Sattiah, worked diligently as an agriculturist, instilling in young Bhaskar the values of hard work and perseverance. His mother, a dedicated housewife, provided unwavering support to the family, fostering an environment of love and unity in their home in the heart of Bhuvangiri town.

Educational Endeavors

Pasham embarked on his academic journey zealously, completing his primary education at Beach Mahal High School, Bhuvangiri 1980. He continued his quest for knowledge by pursuing Intermediate studies focusing on Commerce, Economics, and Civics (CEC) at Govt Junior College, Bhuvangiri, graduating in 1982. Determined to further his academic pursuits, Bhaskar enrolled at SLNS College, Bhuvanagiri, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in 1985. These formative years laid the foundation for his future endeavors, instilling in him a thirst for knowledge and a passion for serving his community.

Championing Indian Culture from Youth

From the earliest stages of his life, Pasham Bhaskar demonstrated a deep commitment to promoting Indian culture and the values of civil society. His dedication to these ideals was evident as he actively participated in various meetings and discussions to advocate for these principles and strengthen the organization’s foundation.

In 1974, at a young age, Bhaskar took a significant step by joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Founded on 27 September 1925, the RSS is a renowned Indian right-wing, Hindu nationalist, paramilitary volunteer organization. Over the years, it has evolved into a prominent umbrella organization for Hindu nationalism, fostering numerous affiliates dedicated to advancing its ideological beliefs. Through the establishment of schools, charities, and clubs, the RSS has played a crucial role in propagating its cultural and ideological agenda across India.

Early Engagement in Student Politics

Pasham Bhaskar’s journey in student politics began in 1979 when he joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) while still pursuing his education. Eager to make a difference, Bhaskar contested for the position of Union President from ABVP at the Government Junior College in Bhuvanagiri town in 1980. Despite his valiant efforts, he faced a narrow defeat in the elections, spurring him to persist in his endeavours.

Undeterred by his initial setback, Bhaskar remained resolute in pursuing leadership roles within ABVP. In 1981, he once again vied for the position of Union President at the Government Junior College in Bhuvangiri town, only to narrowly miss out on victory. However, Bhaskar’s unwavering determination and perseverance propelled him forward, motivating him to continue his involvement in student politics with renewed vigor.

Rise to Leadership and Beyond

In the subsequent years, Bhaskar’s dedication and hard work bore fruit as he secured victory in the 1983 elections, emerging triumphant as the General Secretary of ABVP from the Government Degree College in Bhuvanagiri town. Assuming the mantle of General Secretary, Bhaskar embraced every responsibility with zeal and dedication, striving to make a positive impact within the college community.

Bhaskar’s leadership prowess further shone through in the 1984 elections, where he once again contested and emerged victorious as the General Secretary of ABVP, this time from SLNS Government Degree College. His successive triumphs underscored his popularity and effectiveness as a student leader, earning him the trust and confidence of his peers.

Following his tenure in student politics, Bhaskar extended his contributions to society by working with the Indian Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) from 1988 to 1992. During this period, he continued advocating for workers’ welfare and contributing to society’s betterment through his dedicated service.

Pasham Bhaskar began his political career by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 1993. His initial foray into politics saw him contesting and winning the position of Town General Secretary in Bhuvanagiri town during the 1993 elections. Serving in this capacity from 1993 to 1996, Bhaskar demonstrated his commitment to grassroots party organization and community engagement.

Service to Bhuvanagiri Town:

Subsequently, Bhaskar’s dedication to public service led to his election as the Municipal Councilor of Bhuvanagiri Town’s 11th Ward under the BJP banner in 2000. During his tenure, he served as the Municipal Floor Leader from 2000 to 2005, advocating for the interests of his constituents and spearheading initiatives for local development. Bhaskar’s tenure as a municipal councilor underscored his leadership abilities and his proactive approach to addressing community needs.

Commitment to Party Leadership:

Throughout the years, Bhaskar’s commitment to the BJP remained steadfast. He ascended the party ranks, serving as a State Council Member from 2005 to 2008 and later assuming the role of Parliament Convener for the BJP in Bhuvangiri town from 2009 to 2011. • Throughout the Telangana movement, Bhaskar actively participated in every rally and initiative, steadfastly advocating for realising the people’s longstanding aspiration for a separate Telangana state. His unwavering commitment and involvement in various programs contributed significantly to the emergence of Telangana State, characterized by its rich history and diverse cultural heritage. Bhaskar’s pivotal role in organizing events like Vanta Warp, Bathukamma, and Bonalu underscored his dedication to the cause. It ensured the successful execution of these cultural expressions within the movement’s framework.
• In addition to his organizational responsibilities, Bhaskar actively participated in rallies honouring the memory of numerous martyrs who had made immense sacrifices for the Telangana cause. Despite facing challenges such as police lati charges aimed at quelling the movement, Bhaskar remained resolute in his commitment, demonstrating unwavering resolve and fortitude. • Bhaskar actively participated in the Praja Sangrama Yatra, aimed at challenging the corrupt regime of a dictatorial family, advocating for political liberation.
• During campaigns, Bhaskar visited every village within his constituency, emphasizing the importance of exercising the right to vote and promoting democratic values.
