Merugu Karthik

Merugu Karthik is a Youth President of T.R.S.V for Yellandu town. He was born on 12th-may-1992 to Sadanandhan & Padma in Yellandu village of Bhadradri Kothagudem.

In 2007, He studied Secondary Board of Education from ZP High School and Intermediate from Merit College placed at Yellandu in 2008.

Karthik attained B.Pharmacy from Browns College of Pharmacy at Khammam District in the year 2012.

In 2012, Karthik began his political career by entering the Telangana Rastra Samiti Party (TRS) and he worked as a Student Wing Leader.

From 2014-2017, he was Student Wing Secretary of Yellandu Constitution. Karthik served as a Student Wing President in 2017. He was an Active Member. In 2021, He elected as Youth President of T.R.S.V for Yellandu town.

Recent Activities

• In 2012, Karthik participated in the Telangana movement with the leadership of Minister-Etela Rajender.
• He participated in many Dharnas, Rallies, and Bandhs like Hunger Strike, Rasta Roko, Bike Rallies, Million March, and Vanta Varpu.
• Karthik struggled in the bookstore to reduce the price of books and bought them at a lower price as it was burdensome for students to buy books due to the high prices of books.
• He Participated in programs like Palle Pragati, Harithaharam, and Swatch Bharath.
• He fought and solved the issues like pensions, Ration cards, Health cards, and also the issue relating to Aadhar cards.
• Distributed Books, Bags, and Stationary things to the School Students on the occasion of National festivals.
• Karthik conducted many developing activities in Yellandu by laying of CC Roads, putting up street lights, dug Borewells, and dumping yards.
• He financially assisted the poor people in the village and also helped them in all possible ways when needed.
• He provided his financial support to the poor people in the village and also donated a certain amount to the merit students for their higher education.
• Karthik assisted the death-affected family financially for their survival.
• He financially contributed to the development of hostel Infrastructure such as benches, chairs, tube lights, beds, fans, and many more.
• He organized the blood camp in the village and donated the blood for the needy people.
• Karthik conducted and participated in every Mandal level and District level party meetings.
• A dharna was held about the pending scholarships for the students.
• He passed a Strict rule on the prohibition of alcohol to the college students in his village.

Covid Activities

• During the Pandemic Period, He distributed fruits, food packets, and water bottles to the road siders and also distributed blankets and rugs to them
• Karthik distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people in the covid-19 lockdown period.
• Masks, Sanitizers were distributed to the village people by Karthik.
• Distributed food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.
• Karthik also created awareness on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.
• Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for the safety of the village.
• He helped the migrates during the Lockdown period by providing free transport facility and helped them to reach their home town
• Distributed food and rice bags to the migrate and also contributed to them financially.
