Meedhi Vemula Charan Kumar is the Kurnool District Parliament Secretary of Telugu Yuvatha from the TDP.
Born and Education:
He was born on 03-03-1986 to Ramudu and Abhilaxmi. In 2003, Charan Kumar studied SSC at ZP high school, Gudur, and completed Intermediate from Govt junior college, Gudur from 2003-2005. village. In 2007, he attained ITI from National ITI college, Kurnool.
Political Life:
In 2010, Charan started his political career with the Indian National Congress(INC) party. He was elected as Mandal President of Gudur from the Congress party in 2012 and successfully fulfills his roles and responsibilities by contributing to each and every activity. From 2014-2019, Charan worked as Councilor of 4th Ward of Gudur from the Congress party.
Charan Kumar switches over from the Congress party and joined the Telugu Desam Party(TDP) to work more effectively.
He is a devoted follower of Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy (Member of India’s 15th Lok Sabha) and has consistently followed in the footsteps of an Indian politician Prakash Reddy.
About the Party:
TDP is a regional Indian political party active in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The party was founded by N.T.Rama Rao on 29-March-1982. TDP was the first regional party to become the main opposition party at the 8th Lok Sabha from 1984 to 1989. TDP has a commitment to safeguarding “the political, economic, social, and cultural foundations of Telugu-speaking people”.
In 2021, Charan contested as 4th Ward Councilor from the TDP but unfortunately, he was defeated. He has experienced many ups and downs in his political career in order to fight for the welfare of the people. Charan was appointed and serving as Kurnool District Parliament Secretary of Telugu Yuvatha from the TDP.
Recent Activities
- TDP Mandal leader, Ex-Councilor Charan said that they will continue to fight for city development and is not afraid of illegal cases.
- He held a dharna in Gudur for the land documents.
- TDP leaders held a rally to demand timely payment of taxes and contribute to the development of the city.
- TDP Mandal leader Charan calls for self-curfew – avoid corona.
- Charan spoke to lift irrigation officials to provide irrigation water through the Palakurthi Upliftment Scheme.
- Aiming to quench the thirst of the people, Charan started Chalivendram in Gudur town under the patronage of Revula Venkateshwarlu and Telugu Srinivasulu.
- Ex-Councilor Charan asked the city panchayat to expedite the CC road works. He said the state would be developed with the TDP only.
- Gudur villagers staged a dharna on a road for water. Hundreds of women, led by Ex-Councilor Charan, stormed the city panchayat office with empty bins.
