I am Shri. Medi RaviChandra, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve the people of Telangana with unwavering dedication and commitment. From my early days in student politics to my current role as an Official Spokesperson for the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), my political journey has been shaped by a deep sense of responsibility toward public service and the welfare of the people. Born on February 4, 1983, in Uthapoor, Nalgonda district, I was raised in a family rooted in the values of integrity, social justice, and compassion. Inspired by my parents, Shri. Medi Chandraiah and Smt. Medi Laxmamma, I learned early in life that true leadership lies in selfless service and empowering those in need.

My political career began during my college years, when I served as the College President of NSUI from 2002 to 2004, representing the voice of students and advocating for their rights. This early exposure to student politics strengthened my resolve to pursue a path of public service. As the NSUI Ramannapeta Mandal Vice President from 2005 to 2009, I expanded my political influence beyond the campus, working closely with student bodies and local communities to address grievances and improve infrastructure. My involvement as the Joint Secretary of the Osmania University Telangana Movement Assembly from 2009 to 2014 during the historic Telangana Movement stands as one of the most defining phases of my career. Working alongside respected leaders like Shri. Purushotham Reddy, Shri. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Shri. Raj Gopal Reddy, I actively participated in rallies, dharnas, and protests, playing a key role in achieving statehood for Telangana.

In 2014, I officially joined the Indian National Congress (INC), where I assumed greater responsibilities within the party. As the Youth Congress General Secretary from Nakrekal in 2014 and later as the Bhongir Parliament Youth Congress Vice President from 2016 to 2020, I focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots presence, driving political awareness, and empowering youth participation. My appointment as the State Convenor from 2020 to 2022 provided me with an opportunity to coordinate state-wide political activities and engage with party leadership on strategic initiatives. In 2023, I was honored to be appointed as the Official Spokesperson for the TPCC, representing the party’s position on key political issues and engaging with media and public forums to articulate the party’s vision for Telangana.

My commitment to public service extends beyond politics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I stood at the forefront of relief efforts, organizing medical assistance, distributing food and essential supplies, and supporting grieving families. My efforts were not motivated by recognition but by a sincere desire to serve the people during one of the most challenging periods in recent history.

As I reflect on my journey, I remain driven by the core principles of justice, equality, and social empowerment. My vision for Telangana is one of inclusive growth, where every citizen has equal access to opportunities and where the voices of the people are heard and respected. I remain steadfast in my mission to serve with integrity, work for the upliftment of marginalized communities, and strengthen the foundation of our democratic values. Schooling and Academic Journey of Shri. Medi Ravichandra

Shri. Medi Ravichandra was born on February 4, 1983, in Uthapoor, a quaint village in the Nalgonda district of Telangana State. He hails from a family with a profound legacy of public service, where values of integrity, dedication, and social responsibility were deeply ingrained. His father, Shri. Medi Chandraiah and his mother, Medi Laxmamma, played a pivotal role in instilling in him a strong sense of duty and a commitment to the welfare of society.

Ravi Chandra embarked on his academic journey in Chityala, located in the Nalgonda district of Telangana. He attended Zilla Parishad High School in Chityala, where he exhibited remarkable academic prowess and a disciplined approach to learning. He completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in the year 2000, laying a strong foundation for his future academic and professional endeavors.

After completing his schooling, Ravi Chandra pursued his Intermediate education at Sai Bharathi Junior College in Chityala, Nalgonda. His time at the junior college between 2000 and 2002 was instrumental in shaping his academic aspirations and broadening his intellectual horizon. Building upon his academic success, Ravi Chandra enrolled at Government Degree College in Chityala, where he pursued his Bachelor’s degree from 2002 to 2005.

Ravi Chandra further pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Vennela Institute of College in Bhongir in 2012. Driven by a deep interest in politics and governance, he enrolled in a Master of Arts (MA) program in Political Science at Osmania University (OU), which he completed from 2012 to 2014.

In his quest for legal knowledge and a deeper understanding of the judicial framework, Ravi Chandra pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Osmania University. He dedicated himself to the rigorous study of law from 2013 to 2019. Shri. Ravi Chandra’s academic journey reflects a remarkable blend of intellectual rigor, strategic thinking, and a commitment to public service.

Involvement and Responsibilities in NSUI

Shri. Medi RaviChandra’s foray into student politics began during his college and university years when he actively aligned himself with the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI). His involvement with NSUI allowed him to organize and lead various student-centered events and political meetings, granting him firsthand experience in navigating the complex landscape of student politics and governance. His journey through NSUI was marked by a series of influential leadership roles, each of which broadened his political perspective and honed his ability to lead and inspire others.

College Presidency and Early Leadership (2002–2004)
Ravi Chandra’s political career gained momentum during his college years when he was elected as the College President of NSUI from 2002 to 2004. His tenure as president was characterized by dynamic leadership, where he championed the rights and welfare of students, organized campus events, and fostered a culture of political awareness and engagement among the student body.

Mandate as NSUI Ramannapeta Mandal Vice President (2005–2009)
Following his successful term as College President, Ravi Chandra’s leadership potential was further recognized when he was appointed as the NSUI Ramannapeta Mandal Vice President from 2005 to 2009. In this capacity, he expanded his political influence beyond the college campus, actively engaging with students across the mandal. He played a crucial role in addressing student grievances, organizing large-scale student rallies, and strengthening the organizational structure of NSUI at the mandal level.

OU Telangana Movement Assembly Joint Secretary (2009–2014)
Ravi Chandra’s political journey reached a pivotal moment when he was appointed as the Joint Secretary of the Osmania University Telangana Movement Assembly from 2009 to 2014. This period coincided with the historic Telangana movement, where Ravi Chandra emerged as a vocal advocate for the creation of a separate Telangana state. His deep understanding of political strategy and his ability to galvanize student support made him a key figure in the movement. He coordinated protests, organized meetings, and collaborated with student unions to advance the cause of Telangana’s statehood.

Entry into Politics: Stepping into Public Service (2014)

Mr Ravi Chandra in 2014, by joining the Indian National Congress (INC) developed a keen understanding of local governance, public policy, and the challenges faced by rural communities. This phase of his career was instrumental in shaping his political ideology, rooted in serving the people with dedication and sincerity. His association with the INC provided him with an early platform to connect with the people of his constituency and understand their needs, aspirations, and struggles.

Youth Congress General Secretary – Nakrekal (2014–Present)
Ravi Chandra’s transition into mainstream political leadership was marked by his Elected as the General Secretary of the Youth Congress from Nakrekal in 2014. In this capacity, he assumed broader responsibilities, overseeing the strategic direction of the Youth Congress in Nakrekal and leading political campaigns at the grassroots level. His leadership was instrumental in strengthening the Youth Congress’s foothold in the region, driving political awareness, and mobilizing young voters.

Bhongir Parliament Youth Congress Vice President (2016–2020)
In 2016, Ravi Chandra’s political expertise and leadership potential were further recognized when he was appointed as the Vice President of the Bhongir Parliament Youth Congress. During his tenure from 2016 to 2020, he played a pivotal role in mobilizing youth support, organizing political campaigns, and strengthening the organizational framework of the Youth Congress in the Bhongir parliamentary constituency. He led several successful outreach programs, advocating for youth empowerment and addressing key political issues impacting the region. State Convenor (2020–2022)

Pandemic Services –

• Between 2019 and 2020, during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, Shri. Ravi Chandra exhibited remarkable leadership and empathy by tirelessly supporting those affected by the crisis. His proactive initiatives ensured that individuals in need had timely access to essential medical services, including hospital admissions, medical consultations, and the distribution of medicines and supplies. His swift and strategic response significantly alleviated the distress of numerous families, providing them with much-needed relief during the unprecedented health crisis.
• Amid the nationwide lockdown, Ravi Chandra organized Annadanam programs, offering free meals to families and individuals facing food insecurity. His initiatives played a crucial role in mitigating the effects of the lockdown on vulnerable communities, ensuring that no one in his constituency suffered from hunger during this difficult period. His actions reflected a profound sense of social responsibility and an unwavering commitment to public welfare.
• To curb the spread of the virus, Ravi Chandra oversaw large-scale sanitization efforts, including the spraying of sodium hypochlorite bleach solution throughout his village.
