Manyam Durga Prasad

Manyam Durga Prasad is the Gowda Community District Advisor of West Godavari and Student Section Mandal President of Chagallu Mandal from the Political Party YSRCP.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

He was born in Brahmanagudem Village of Chagallu Mandal on 02nd October 1997 to the couple Manyam Srinivas and Nagalaxmi.

In the Year 2012, Durga Prasad obtained his early education of SSC Standard from Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) located at Brahmanagudem Village of Chagallu Mandal.

In 2014, He went on to Annapurneswari Vocational Junior College to complete his Undergraduate placement at Nidadavolu of West Godavari.

Since going to Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management situated at Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh, Durga Prasad started his Graduation and completed it in the year 2017.

EARLY POLITICAL CAREER:

While Durga Prasad was continuing his education, he started his political career through the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) to follow in the footsteps of the current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration and do his part to help the people in a better way.

He worked as an Active Member by discharging his duties with a code of conduct. As being a part of YSRCP, Durga Prasad expresses keen interest and performs every activity for the recognition of the respective party.

For his dedication to the work, the party entrusted him with the post of Social Media Coordinator in 2013 with unprecedented confidence. Durga Prasad desperately carried out the duties assigned to him without betraying the trust placed in him by the party.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, he has been serving as the Student Section Mandal President of Chagallu in 2022 and Gowda Community District Advisor of West Godavari to ensure that the initial and subsequent tasks run smoothly, and ever since he has been discharging his duties as a process of excessive commitments.

From the moment he was assigned the position till now, he has been using all his resources for the people and pursuing his happy life of public welfare, and briefly outlining and following the rules and regulations for the betterment of the party and the welfare of the welfare people.

Party Activities:

• He accompanied many Mandal levels and District level party meetings and also organized Party Membership Programs.
• Many party development programs were carried out in the village for the growth of the party and he respectably accepts the work assigned by the higher authorities and is completely involved to sort out the issues raised on any topics.
• Durga Prasad is actively involved and participates in the programs organized by the Party.
• During Elections, he actively participates in the Door-to-Door election campaign and worked hard to bring more voters to won the party in his locality.
• He conveyed and explained to the people about the greatness of the Party all over the constituency.
• If anyone in the village encounters any problem, Durga Prasad will be at the forefront of the problem.
• Durga Prasad is not limited to his services to the village but also extends to the people of the entire district.
• He played the main role and actively participated in Foot March(Padayatra)along with Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy(The present Chief Minister of AP)to all over the Constituencies.

SOCIAL LIFE:

Although growing politically, on the one hand, Being working hard for the welfare of the people with the position assigned to him simultaneously working as a Social Activist to be closer in terms of service to the people on the other.

Constantly striving for the Prosperity of the people and expressing his feelings of service, he provided a kind of encouragement with a passion to serve the people, Durga Prasad and 5 of his friends together formed a small organization called 5 Star Friends.

From the moment the organization was formed till today, they have been conducting social activities that are beneficial to the village and contributing their share to the development of the village.

Since the day of formation, They have been performing many social activities and benefited many poor and needy people with their services.
They are at the forefront of anyone in need of help in the area around him. He continues to serve the people by doing his part with humanity to help those who seek help without even thinking.

Social Activities:

• Durga Prasad has performed many developmental programs and social activities for the welfare of the people.
• Many service activities were organized such as blankets for beggars, clothes for the poor, and food for orphaned children.
• Helped a lot financially for the migrant workers and the poor. Free meals were provided to orphans and the elderly each year.
• He fights over the problems of the people, for the welfare of the people.
• He helped the death-affected family in the village by providing the essentials for survival and assisting them during financial crises.
• Through the Organization, Durga Prasad has been installing street lights in his village, paving dividers, paving roads, eliminating drainage problems, alleviating power shortage, and solving water problems.
• Durga Prasad fought over every issue raised in the town and persistently worked to solve the issues.
• He fought for the issues related to Handicapped Pensions, Widow Pension, Old age Pension, and also the problems of Ration Card and Health cards of the villagers. The loans were sanctioned quickly which has been delayed for a long time.
• Every year on 15th August Independence Day and 26th January Republic Day celebrations are held at the school and cultural events are organized and plates and prizes being awarded to the winners of the event.
• On the occasion of Durga Prasad’s birthday, food packets will be handed over to the poor who are living their lives on the footpath.
• Every year on the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi(Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist), flowers are laid at his portrait, and tributes are paid to Gandhi for his services to the country.
• Every year on the occasion of the Vijayadashami festival, their donation fund is donated to the Durga Devi Temple in the village.
• Durga Prasad and his friends are organizing a charity event(Annadanam) at the constituency level regularly.

Welfare Activities:

• He is fulfilling his responsibilities to help the disabled in all ways in terms of organization.
• Durga Prasad has performed many social activities in the village such as providing food to the Old aged and Orphan Children, Mineral water to the Villagers.
• He carries out his responsibilities while looking after the welfare of the people living in the village and zone by clearing the issues related to Water, Drainage, and every minute problem to the individual.
• He helped the old and poor people in the village by providing the essentials for survival and assisting them during the financial crisis.
• Every year a blood donation camp and a medical camp are set up in the colony and medicines are provided free of cost to those in need.
• He always stood by the people of the Village and Mandal. Many of the development programs were a resounding success.
• As a part of environmental protection, Durga Prasad has taken an active role by participating in the Haritha Haram Program and casting the plants in the village.

 Services rendered during the Pandemic Covid-19

During the First Wave of Corona-

Durga Prasad came forward to help the needy who have been affected by lockdown and distributed vegetables and fruits to the villagers, needy ones, and Municipality workers by following the precautions. Food item packets for drivers and migrant laborers were distributed whose livelihood has been affected during this lockdown period.

Durga Prasad came forward with humanity to help those in dire straits during the corona and provide financial assistance to the people who are affected by the lockdown. He apportioned Masks, Sanitizers, and food to the poor and also contributed to them financially.

To spread awareness about social distancing and following precautionary measures to prevent the Epidemic Corona an awareness program has been conducted. As part of the drive to eradicate the corona epidemic, Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for safety of the village.

During the Second wave of Corona-

Durga Prasad distributed fruits and vegetables to the Villagers who are suffering due to the pandemic. He created awareness by explaining about the coronavirus spread which leads to a great loss to the earth.

He provided food packets and water bottles to the roadside and the poor people. Durga Prasad also provided free masks and sanitizers to people with corona deficiency symptoms at the hospital.

He worked all days(Day and Night) during the covid period and looked after the people and will be constantly available mainly to the poorest people in the zone.
