Manohar Lal Khattar is the Chief Minister of Haryana. He was born on 05-05-1954 to Harbans Lal Khattar in Nindana village of Meham tehsil in Rohtak district of East Punjab (Now In Haryana).

In 1953, Khattar’s family migrated from Pakistan after partition in 1947 and settled in Rohtak district. They arrived in India empty-handed. Khattar completed high school at Pandit Neki Ram Sharma Government College, Rohtak.

He then shifted to Delhi to complete his bachelor’s degree from Delhi University. He’s also run a shop near Sadar Bazar in Delhi during his college days. His family initially settled in the Banyani village of Rohtak district and took up farming.

Khattar started his political journey with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1977 and became a full-time pracharak three years later. As a pracharak, he is a lifelong bachelor. He worked as a full-time pracharak for 14 years before moving to BJP, in 1994. Manohar Lal joined BJP in 1994 and he was made Sangathan Mahamantri in Haryana.

From 2000–2014, Khattar was the Organizational General Secretary of the BJP in Haryana. He was the Chairman of BJP’s Haryana Election Campaign Committee for the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. In 2014, Khattar was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) from the Karnal constituency for Haryana.

Khattar contested from the Karnal constituency in Assembly Elections. He won and took oath as Chief Minister of Haryana in 2014 and Khattar became a member of BJP’s National Executive Committee. Khattar was sworn-in as the Chief Minister for the second time, Party post in 2019 of Haryana Legislative Assembly election

Chief Minister @mlkhattar inaugurated parks and gymnasiums in various villages of Sonepat district. In these parks and gymnasiums, people of the village will be able to get health benefits by doing physical activities like yoga and exercise.

'Mera Pani-Meri Virasat' Scheme

In connection with the ‘Mera Pani-Meri Virasat’ scheme, he interacted with the farmers of Ratia and Sirsa blocks today and has also assured to implement his suggestions. 100 recharge sacks will be made in three sections of the state, Ratia, Shahabad, and Guhla and about 10 acres of groundwater level will be improved from one bore.

Distributed Food Packets

Students of Seva Haryana province distributed food packets and sanitary pads to women as per their requirement to the migrants going from Rohtak to their home. Also, water, fruits, and juice were distributed to all the migrants.

In this time of crisis, no family should be deprived of food, for this purpose free ration is being provided to poor families through Distress Ration Token without ration card. Today, took stock of the quantity, quality, and adequate supply of ration received through DRT in Karnal.
