Mallela Rajashekar

Mallela Rajashekar was the Ex-ZP Chairman of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. He was born on 13th August 1975 in Kurnool. His parents were Buggaramaiah and Nagalakshmi.

Education Background:

In 1990, Rajashekar completed his schooling at ZPHS, Hussainapuram, and completed Intermediate at Thimmaiah junior college located at Kurnool. In 1995, Rajashekar attained his Graduation(Degree) from Thimmaiah degree college.

Political Career:

With the belief that politicians alone can stop corruption, bribery, and many other illegal activities in the society and make the country a corruption-free country Rajashekar entered politics in 1994. He joined the Telugu Desam Party(TDP).

TDP is a regional Indian political party active in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The party was founded by N.T.Rama Rao on 29-March-1982. TDP was the first regional party to become the main opposition party at the 8th Lok Sabha from 1984 to 1989. TDP has a commitment to safeguarding “the political, economic, social, and cultural foundations of Telugu-speaking people”.

Rajashekar became a Devotee of TDP as he liked the successful party style in doing justice to all sections.

In response to Rajashekar’s best performance regarding Social Service the people of Hussainapuram chose him as Sarpanch and served from 1998-2001.

He was succeeded as the ZPTC and worked from 2001-2006.

Rajeshekhar paved cement roads in all zones during his Sarpanch tenure. He cleared the drinking water issue in ZP schools, provided uniforms, stationery things for them. He solved all the government problems facing the people.

In 2014, Rajashekhar took charge as ZP Chairman of Kurnool. During his tenure as ZP Chairman, he grew more engaged in politics and has consistently worked for the welfare of the people. The people are completely happy with his regime, and his government is regarded as a people’s regime in general.

Rajasheka performed certain activities being responsible ZP Chairman: 

• Former ZP Chairman Rajashekhar and former MLA Charita Reddy have criticized the government for failing miserably in supporting farmers. Rajasekhar Padayatra begins from the Anjaneyaswamy Temple at Kommucheruvu pond. The event was inaugurated by TDP Mandal Convener Govindareddy waving the flag.
• TDP leaders also criticized the government for failing miserably in offering a discounted price for vegetables. The party leaders also staged an innovative protest by throwing vegetables on the national highway at Somayajulapalli in the Orvakal zone.
• A bike rally was organized from Hussainapuram to Orvakal under the auspices of former ZP Chairman Rajashekhar to demand an immediate reduction in inflated petrol, diesel, and gas prices. A dharna was held sitting on the road opposite the MPDO office on the national highway.
• Former ZP Chairman Rajasekhar and party leaders set fire to a toy to protest the immediate encounter with Shashi Krishna, who attacked and killed a B.Tech student Ramya in Guntur.
• Rajasekhar and TDP activists have met TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh at his residence. Several issues in the district were discussed. Nara Lokesh inquired about the work being done in the solar, airport, steel industry, and DRDO in the zone.
• Former ZP Chairman Rajasekhar warned that there would be concerns if electricity meters were installed at pump sets. Speaking at a press conference, he said that CM Jagan was afraid of the cases and kept close to the Center and accused the state farmers of exploiting them in the name of meters.
• Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is credited with making the Orvakallu zone an industrial hub, former chairman Rajasekhar told a press conference. He said the airport was completed within 18 months under the Chandrababu Naidu government.
• Rajasekhar was initiated in Orvakal Mandal of Kurnool district in solidarity with the initiation being carried out by Chandrababu Naidu. MLC Prabhakar and Lok Sabha Speaker Somishetti Venkateshwar supported the initiative.

Rajashekar’s Efforts during the Pandemic:

• As a responsible leader Rajashekar gave his contribution even during the covid crisis.
• During the Pandemic Period, he distributed fruits, food packets, and water bottles to the road siders and also distributed blankets to them.
• He provided food and rice bags to the migrants and also contributed to them financially.
• Provided annadhanam program to the Police, Municipal, front-line workers who served a lot during the corona crisis.
• Conducted awareness programs on the maintenance of Physical distance and following precautionary measures to prevent the epidemic in Corona.
• He financially helped covid victims by providing vitamin tablets, masks, Sanitizers, and fruits.
• Rajashekar put his effort to serve people even during the covid second wave.
• He distributed vegetables and fruits to the village people and needy people.
• Awareness camps and seminars were organized on the Covid-19 vaccine and about the effects of the virus.
• The area infected with the coronavirus has been declared a red zone and people have been given proper precautions and instructions.
• Delivered food, supplements for the covid victims by home delivery.
