Malagundla Sankaranarayana

Minister for BC Welfare, MLA, Dharmavaram, Penukonda, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP

 

Malagundla Sankaranarayana is the Minister for BC Welfare and Member of the Legislative Assembly(MLA) of Penukonda Constituency from the YSRCP party. He was born on 01-04-1965 to Peddaiah and Yashodamma.

He has completed B.Com from A.P. Residental Degree College, Nagarjunasagar, Guntur in 1986. He completed LLB from SJ Renukacharya College, Bangalore University in 1989. He is a Lawyer by Profession. He married M. Jayalakshmi has a son and a daughter.

Sankaranarayana began his political entry by joining Telugu Desam Party in 1995. He became the Municipal Councilor of Dharmavaram in 2005.

He joined the YSR Congress Party in 2011. In the 2014 assembly elections, he contested from Penukonda seats were defeated by B K Parthasarathi of TDP, with 17,415 margins. But in the 2019 elections, he was elected as an MLA and got a Cabinet Minister post.

He is serving as Minister for BC welfare. He is continuing as an Anantapur District YSRCP President since 2012. On July 22 he has been allotted as the Roads and Buildings department in a Cabinet reshuffle.  He was appointed as Minister for Roads & Buildings on 22-07-2020.
