Ramireddy Sridhar resides in Nandigama village, Krishna District, Nandigama Mandal, and founded an environmental protection committee in 2001. Since then, over 10,000 plants have been distributed annually.
For the past 20 years, he has organized the distribution of earthen Ganesha idols during Vinayaka Chavithi, offering incentives to those who use larger clay Ganesha figurines. Alongside this, he has led cloth bag distribution programs, as well as rallies and awareness seminars focused on banning plastic.
Since 2001, in collaboration with municipal authorities, voluntary organizations, and students, he has conducted numerous rallies and awareness seminars on the dangers of plastic use through thousands of social service programs.
He also raises public awareness by placing informational boards on walls, explaining the benefits of planting trees and the harmful effects of plastic use. Additionally, he organizes awareness rallies with school children.
Through efforts to promote eye donation, over 100 people have pledged to donate their eyes after death, providing vision to 200 blind individuals. He has also facilitated eye surgeries for 400 people.
On January 4, 2015, in his birth village of Kanchal, Sridhar funded and built a library to promote literacy and social awareness. He personally covers the monthly maintenance costs of the library, which provides essential books for students and those preparing for competitive exams.
Sridhar has been an active member of the Lions Club of Nandigama for the past 20 years, serving in various capacities, including Treasurer, Secretary, President, Zone Chairman, and currently as Pollution Control District Chairman.
He also provides financial assistance for books and tuition fees to underprivileged students. Furthermore, he organizes summer training camps focused on Indian cultural traditions and raising awareness about one’s parents, native land, and heritage.
He has organized ten blood donation camps and held awareness conferences during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the lockdown, he distributed masks, provided food for migrant workers, and organized the distribution of vegetables and essential items in various areas of Nandigama.
In addition, he initiated service programs such as distributing rice bags to private school teachers facing financial difficulties. He also provided meals to many employees who continued working during the lockdown when hotels were closed.
As the President of Paryavarana Parirakshana Samithi and Chairperson of Pollution Control in Krishna District, I, Ln Ramireddy Sridhar, am deeply committed to the well-being of our environment and the communities that rely on it. Born in the quaint village of Kanchela in Nandigama Mandal, my journey has been shaped by a profound sense of responsibility towards nature instilled in me since childhood. With a solid educational foundation from Don Bosco Boys Hs Secondary School and KVR College, I embarked on a path of social service in 2001, dedicating myself to various initiatives aimed at environmental preservation and societal upliftment. My leadership within the Paryavarana Parirakshana Samithi underscores my dedication to environmental cleanliness and sustainability. Through initiatives like establishing libraries, promoting anti-plastic campaigns, and advocating for the importance of trees, I strive to create a healthier and greener future for generations to come. My efforts extend beyond rhetoric to tangible actions, such as distributing thousands of plants annually and organizing awareness programs on crucial issues like water conservation and Covid-19 relief. With a steadfast commitment to service and a vision for a better tomorrow, I continue to work tirelessly for the well-being of both our environment and our communities, embodying the ethos of service and stewardship.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:
He was born on 10th June 1968 to Ramireddy Amara Lingeshwara Swamulu and Kamala in the Village of Kanchela in Nandigama Mandal.
In the year 1987, Sridhar studied Schooling at Don Bosco Boys Hs Secondary School (DBBHSS) located at Nandigama Village.
In 1989, He completed an Undergraduate from KVR (Kakani Venkata Ratnam) College at Nandigama Village and Attained a Graduation with a Degree at KVR Degree College in 2001.
Social Service:
After the conclusion of his Education, Sridhar started his social life in 2001. He started his services as a Social Worker and has been successful in organising many social events related to the environment.
In the year 2001, Sridhar joined the Paryavarana Parirakshana Samithi. Later on for his comprehensive dedication to the service, Sridhar upgraded the position to the President of Paryavarana Parirakshana Samithi.
Sridhar has been passionate about service since childhood and goes to great lengths to solve the problems of the people.
His full concentration is on environmental cleanliness. He went a long way in saying that cleanliness plays a vital role in one’s health and spiritual development. In addition to these, it is also essential for the environmental development of our country.
The idea in his path is not just to cleanse, but to experience the joy of living in that environment.
There is a lot going on for environmental cleanliness. He did his part with a lot of effort for the protection of the environment with the idea that our society would be cleaner if we kept our surroundings clean.
He is striving to ensure that our country enjoys the fresh air that is lined with greenery. Sridhar has done his part to eradicate air pollution permanently and has cast thousands of plants.
While pursuing his favorite social services for Environmental Protection in 2001, Sridhar joined as a LIC agent which is related to his education and is working in the respectable designation.
Apart from this he was comprehensively assigned to the position of Chairperson of Pollution Control at Krishna District and also dealing as the Member of the Lions Club Organization at Nandigama.
Library:
Sridhar extended his service by establishing a Library (Grandhalayam)building with his own funds on January 4, 2015, in the village of Kanchala, where he was born and raised, to impart literate sociology.
Since the day of the establishment of the library, Sridhar has been responsible for its maintenance and the monthly expenses incurred by it. The library also has books for students and candidates who are preparing for competitive exams.
Anti Plastic
Considering the health problems and harms caused by the use of plastics, Sridhar has taken a number of initiatives against the use of plastics and is working for the permanent elimination of it.
Efforts have been made to eradicate the use of Synthetic materials by briefly explaining to the public the dangers posed by the use of Synthetic material(Plastic) to the next generation
The farmers are been suffering as the natural materials used in manufacturing have been replaced by plastic. Sridhar created awareness by explaining that after the use of plastic tools, they go underground and remain in the ground for centuries.
Attempts are being made to persuade the public that the chemicals released by those plastics are contaminating our clean land and that the chances of our farmers’ crop fields being severely affected are high and they are trying to make a difference in them.
Actions against the usage of Plastic:
- The 1000 jute bags printed by Ramireddy Sridhar, make people use them instead of plastic bags.
- In Nandigama Municipal Office, Street Vendors have been informed about the dangers of plastic use and street vendor ID cards have been set up in collaboration with Municipal Officers to make them aware of them.
- It was requested that covers should not be used for tea parcels as well as tiffin parcels should be given in cloth covers without using covers.
Nandigama hotel owners were thanked in advance and flowers were handed over and an awareness program and cloth bags were distributed. - A memorandum with a thousand signatures was handed over to the Municipal Commissioner asking him to stop the practice of parcelling in plastic covers even for coffee and tea patients in hotels and to immediately stop this practice in hotels where there is a risk of contracting diseases like cancer.
- DSP GV Ramanamurthy unveiled the pamphlet “ Say No to Plaster of Paris – Prefer to Handmade Ganesh idols ” which are printed by Ramireddy Sridhar.
Importance of Trees
In ancient times Trees are worshipped as God. But the Modern man deforesting the trees for their selfish purposes and turning survival into difficult.
Sridhar’s primary motto is that everywhere trees have to be planted so the contamination of the environment can be prevented as trees absorb that polluted air and give us fresh and pure air.
If the life of a human being is to make Sujalam Suflaam, then it is very essential for the trees to survive and to make us survive as well.
He conducted awareness programs on the importance of trees for the well-being of the present life and also for the upcoming generations. Not only plants but also we must save the trees from being cut.
Efforts for Greenery:
- Based on that aspect, Every year he distributes around 15,000 to 20,000 flowering and non-flowering plants for free at his own cost to make the surrounding greenery.
- In Adarsha Nagar, at the end of Gautama School Road, a planting program was organized by the students so that the current wires on both sides of the roads would not be disturbed by the telephone wires. Sridhar also handed over munaga, neem, ganuga, and gorinta plants to the students of the school.
- Nandigama Commentary School and Lions District Coordinator Global Warming jointly organized a rally and awareness program on plant breeding, Humanitarian.
Environmental Protection
Sridhar has taken the protection of the environment as the primary concern. The environment is the basis of our survival and the earth’s existence as it is the total of the natural surroundings around us. Due to the various human-made activities, the environment has been pointed to irreparable damage.
Sridhar created awareness to the People and encouraged them to plant trees and explained the need to lessen the human impact on the environment as much as possible to make the surroundings clean by following certain measures.
As the Forests and vegetation are being cleared extensively for farming and construction purposes, Sridhar has taken a step forward to cast plants for the conversion of deforestation. By facilitating the growth of trees, the greenery can be restored and the loss made can be compensated.
Precautions for Environmental protection
- On the occasion of World Environment Day, a planting and flower distribution program was organized in the areas surrounding the 15th, 16th Ward Farmers Bazaar and Bypass in Nandigama Zone.
- In honor of the Vinayakachavithi festival, 2000 earthen Vinayaka idols made of various seeds were distributed as part of environmental conservation.
- As a part of environmental protection, Ramireddy Sridhar printed pamphlets with the slogans” Encourage the Use of Clay Ganesha Statues – Ban Plaster of Paris Statues “.
Welfare Activities:
- During the summer, the winter solstice is maintained and served. Buttermilk and cheddar drinks are served to the travellers.
- Every year he Distributed books, pens, and clothes to poor children for their higher education, as well as assisting poor people financially.
- Many service activities were organized such as blankets for beggars, clothes for the poor, and food for orphaned children.
- Numerous awareness programs and rallies have been organized for the issues related to the Environment, Usage of Plastic, and Casting of Plants.
- Sridhar is not limited to his services to the village but also extends to the people of the entire district.
- On the occasion of World Water Day, Nandigama ZPHS students under the auspices of Environmental Protection Committee President and District Coordinator Ramireddy Sridhar pledged to educate students on water conservation and water use and to make water usable for future use.
- Working in a life insurance company, he made 500 LIC policies in his hometown in 2005 under the name “Intintiki Policy” and formed LIC Insurance Gram and provided financial assistance of Rs. 50000 / – from LIC for village development.
- Provides financial assistance for books and fees for poor students, preserves Indian cultural traditions and conducts summer training camps on parents, homeland, and Indian cultural traditions. Moreover, he still donated blood 8 times and expressed his service quality.
Social Activities:
- Along with Ramireddy Sridhar, Krishna District Collector Intiaj, Nandigama Municipal Commissioner Jaya Ram, Nandigama MRO B Chandrasekhar, and officials participated in an awareness seminar on the exercise of the right to vote at a voter awareness rally in Nandigama town.
- Sridhar and others handed over a petition signed by 1100 urban people to the Nandigama Municipal Commissioner seeking immediate construction of public toilets in some places as part of Swachh Bharat in the main squares of Nandigama.
- An awareness rally, awareness seminar, and distribution of cloth bags were organized in Nandigama today to mark the 150th Gandhi Jayanti and the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri under the auspices of the daily newspaper, ETV, and the Nandigama Environmental Protection Committee.
- As the chief guest Amir Reddy, Sridhar inaugurated the function of the blood donation camp organized by the Lions Club of Nandigama and Pawan Kalyan Fans association in Adaviravulapadu village.
- Sridhar is raising awareness on eye donation and encouraging people to donate their eyes after death. So far, Sridhar has been instrumental in donating eyes to 25 people and giving sight to 50 blind people. Sridhar performed eye operations on 200 people with his own money.
Services rendered in the Pandemic Covid-19
- Sridhar came forward to help the needy who have been affected by lockdown and distributed vegetables and fruits to the villagers, needy ones, and Municipality workers by following the precautions.
- Food item packets for drivers and migrant laborers were distributed whose livelihood has been affected during this lockdown period.
- Sridhar came forward with humanity to help those in dire straits during the corona and provide financial assistance to the people who are affected by the lockdown.
- As part of the drive to eradicate the corona epidemic, Ramireddy Sridhar, president of the Environmental Protection Committee at Nandigama Farmers’ Bazaar, raised awareness on corona and gave gloves and masks to those who work in the stalls, as well as to keep the surroundings clean in terms of sanitation.
- Sridhar conducted awareness seminars on corona in catastrophic situations and created awareness among the people.
- In addition to distributing masks, meals were provided to migrant workers during the lockdown, and vegetables and daily necessities were distributed at various places in Nandigama.
- Undertook a number of service programs such as the Rice Bag Distribution Program for financially distressed private school teachers.
- Meals were provided to several employees who performed duties during the absence of the hotel during the lockdown.
- Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for the safety of the village.
- He worked all days(Day and Night) during the covid period and looked after the people.
- He is constantly available mainly to the poorest people in the zone.
