Kunduru Jana Reddy was the MLA of Nagarjuna Sagar Constituency. He was born on 20-06-1946 to Veera Reddy in Anumula village. He completed Intermediate.
From 1983-1985, in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, he contested Independently and elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) from the Chalakurthi Constituency. He served as the Minister for Agriculture and Co-operation. He joined the Telugu Desam Party(TDP).
From 1985-1989, in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with a margin of 59113 votes from the TDP party in the same year he worked as Minister for Transport, Roads & Buildings of Andhra Pradesh Government.
He joined the Indian National Party(INC). From 1989-1994, AP assembly elections, he was won the post of MLA of Chalakurthi Constituency. He served as Minister for Marketing & Forests, Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Weights & Measures & Command Area.
In 1999, AP assembly elections he was elected as MLA from the Congress party. From 2004-2009, he was the Minister for Home, Jails, Fire Services, Printing & Stationery.
In 2004, AP assembly elections, he was elected as MLA with a margin of 80116 votes from Chalakurthi Constituency. In 2009, AP elections he won as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with a margin of 6214 votes against Industrialist turned politician of TDP Chinappa Reddy Tera.
From 2011-2014, he served as Minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural Water Supply in the State of Andhra Pradesh. He is the longest-serving Cabinet Minister in govt of Telangana Breaking the Record of Sri Kasu Bramanadha Reddy former chief minister of A.P.
In 2014, in the Telangana Assembly elections, he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) with a margin of 69,684 votes from the Congress party. He was the Leader of Opposition, Telangana Legislative Assembly.
