Kowde Mahesh Kuruma

Kowde Mahesh Kuruma is the 23rd Ward Municipal Councillor of Medchal District from the TRS Party.

Early Life&Education:

He was born on 15th June 1988 to Kowde Kishtaiah and Pushpamma and was raised in Medchal of Telangana State.

In 2004, Mahesh completed his Education by finishing his Schooling at ZP High School in Medchal.

Early Political Career:

Shortly after completing his education, Mahesh began his professional career by joining the Veerabhadra Kuruma Sangam. As soon as he entered the Community, he was assigned the Position of General Secretary.

As the party believed in him, Mahesh always looked after the welfare of the people by performing the duties assigned to him up to 2016.

Being working hard for the welfare of the people with the position assigned to him simultaneously; in year 2012, he began his political career by joining the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) which was founded by N.T. Rama Rao and headed by N. Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, elected and served as a Youth Vice President of Medchal from TDP to continue his duties and serve people till 2014.

After performing his duties as Youth President in the TDP, In 2014, he switched from the TDP to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) founded by Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, who is the Indian politician serving as the first and current Chief Minister of Telangana.

The year he entered politics, he was offered the designation Medchal Municipal General Secretary by the TRS Party. He carried out many activities and was involved in many programs the Political Party conducted. He remained in the post till 2019, completed his assigned tasks, and won the people’s admiration.

He rendered invaluable service to the community during his tenure as Medchal Municipal General Secretary.

Appreciating this, in 2016, the community members appointed him as the Mandal Youth President. He completed his responsibilities and discharged his duties by being very cautious while performing the activities of the Party and the community up to 2020.

In 2020, He contested for the position of Councillor for the 23rd ward of Medchal(elected representative on a local government council) of Medchal. He was selected for the place with a majority of 285 Votes.

In the same year(2020), he joined the Kuruma Yuvatha Sangam and is working as a Committee Member for the welfare of the Kuruma People and bringing justice to them all the way.

Since then, he has been in the identical designation, i.e., Municipal Councillor for 23rd Ward, and taken authority and responsibility by wholly involved in the development of the party and the well-being of the people and been following the rules assigned to him, fulfilling his duties with a code of conduct.

Party Activities

• Mahesh is a Party Activist. He is actively involved in the programs organized by the TRS. He conveyed and explained to the people the greatness of the TRS.
• He always woke up, stood up at the forefront of the party, solved issues, and raised any problems.
• Mahesh was involved and played a Primary role in developing the society party.
• During Elections, he actively participated in the Door-to-Door election campaign and worked hard to win the party in his locality.
• He set up and engaged in every Mandal level and Village level meeting and delivered speeches by motivating the youngsters and the upcoming leaders.
• Many party development programs were carried out in the village for the party’s growth, and he respectably accepted the work assigned by the higher authorities. He is wholly involved in sorting out the issues raised on any topic.

Developmental Activities:

• Mahesh carried out many developmental activities in the village, like laying of CC Roads with a cost of 35lakhs, Putting up Street Lights, Clearance of the Drainage System by expending 20 lakhs, Setting up of hand pumps, paving of B.T Roads with expenditure worth 20 lakhs and Solving of water Problems by improving the quality of water.
• Mahesh has performed many social activities in the village, such as providing food to the Old aged and Orphan Children, Mineral water to the Villagers.
• He carries out his responsibilities while looking after the welfare of the people in the village and zone.
• He helped the old and poor people in the village by providing the bare essentials to them for survival and also assisted them during the financial crises.
• Many service activities were organized, including blankets for beggars, clothes for the poor, and food for orphaned children.
• Mahesh is not limited to his services to the village but extends to the entire district’s people.
• Restrooms were built in Anganwadi Centres and provided proper infrastructure facilities in the Centre like Fans, Chairs, Table, etc.

Welfare Activities:

• To improve cleanliness and hygiene in urban and rural areas, workplaces and homes, Mahesh Conducted Swachh Bharat Program on the saying of One step towards cleanliness.
• As a part of environmental protection, Mahesh has taken an active role by participating in the Palle Pragathi and Clean and green by casting the plants in the village.
• He has carried out many activities, like handing over sheep to those eligible for the sheep distribution scheme approved by the government.
• Ration card-related problems have been solved by those struggling with the shortage of essential commodities provided by their government with the ration card problem.
• As Pension money from the government is to support old age people to make ends meet, circumstances related to pensions were cleared by providing pensions to elderly people.
• Palle Pragathi’s program aimed to increase green cover and improve sanitation in villages. As a part of Haritha Haram, massive plantation programs and the power supply has improved.
• Besides taking up sanitation works, debris from ruined houses/buildings was removed as part of the Palle Pragathi. Removal of stagnant water, filling potholes on the roads, and weeding out wild plants, were also part of the program.

Pandemic Services:

• A total of 8000 ration kits were distributed to those suffering severely from the corona epidemic.
• Meals were prepared and served to over 1000 hungry people who could not get proper dining facilities during the lockdown.
• Despite the government declaring the lockdown to be for our health, the Sanitajatin workers and Asha workers who worked tirelessly for the country during the difficult times to prevent the virus from growing even during the lockdown for us have been honoured.
• Migrant workers leaving their home village for work and working in another area were handed 10 kg of rice to those unable to work due to corona.
• Mahesh came forward to help the needy affected by the lockdown and distributed vegetables and fruits to the villagers, needy ones, and Municipality workers by following the precautions.
• Food item packets for drivers and migrant labourers whose livelihood has been affected during this lockdown period were distributed.
• Mahesh came forward with humanity to help those in dire straits during the corona and provide financial assistance to those affected by the lockdown.
• He apportioned Masks, Sanitizers, and food to the poor and also contributed to them financially.
• An awareness program has been conducted to spread awareness about social distancing and following precautionary measures to prevent the Epidemic Corona.
• As part of the drive to eradicate the corona epidemic, Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for safety of the village.
• He worked all day (Day and Night) during the covid period and looked after the people.
• He is constantly available mainly to the poorest people in the zone.
