Korra Suri Babu

Korra Suri Babu is an Indian politician from the Southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He serves as the AP PCC Delegate Member of Chintalapalli Mandal from the Congress Party.

Early Life:

On the 01st of June 1988, Suri Babu was born to the couple Mr Korra Krishna and Mrs Korra Singari and resided at Gadaparai Village in Alluri Sitharama Raju District in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh.

He studied at The Board Secondary School Education in Zilla Parishad High School, located at Chintalapalli, in 2008. And he completed Intermediate in Government Junior College, Paderu, in 2010.

In 2013 he Obtained his Graduation (Degree) from Government Degree College located at Paderu.

Political Life:

Suri Babu had the attitude of serving the people and had political qualities from his childhood. While still studying, he used to fight for justice for the people and stand by everyone in his village.

In 2002, Suri Babu debuted into active politics at a very young age with great interest in serving the people through the Akhila Bharatha Jatiya Congress Party, headed by Sonia Gandhi.

After joining the party, he worked as a Party Activist. He used his full time for party work and social work.

After that, he was elected as the 17th Ward Member in his village. He would continue his duties as a ward member and would understand every little problem in his ward and immediately provide necessary facilities for it.

After that, Suri Babu, by serving the party and people more, contested as MPTC from Chintapalli Mandal and won. He said that people believed in him and won, and he would work harder for the people to keep their trust.

In 2018, he was selected as the District ST Cell President. Later as he worked for academics, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities and welfare of students under people guidelines with particular attention to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

In 2019, Suri Babu contested in the second level as ZPTC from Chintapalli Mandal and won. After that, he was selected as an AP PCC (Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee) Delegate Member in 2021. And he was still working as a member of APCC.

Party Activities:

• Suri Babu protested for the people demanding that the government should do justice to the fraud committed by the Agrigold company.
• They fought that the people’s problems should be solved in the highly populated village of Gadaparai and the government should take the unique initiative to do justice to the people.
• He is constantly being fought over the People’s problems, and petitions are handed over to the concerned authorities. During Elections, he actively participated in the Door-to-Door election campaign and worked hard to win the party in his locality.
• Suri Babu accompanied many local Mandal and District level party meetings and organised Party Membership Programs. Many party development programs were implemented in the village to grow the party.
• He explains the party’s responsibilities and policies to the party workers from time to time and conducts every program required to move the party forward. And as an APCC Delicate Member, he stands by the people in difficult times.
• He collaborates with government, semi-government and non-government organisations to provide financial assistance to needy people by organising development programs in rural and urban areas and ensuring those schemes reach the people.

Welfare Activities:

• Suri Babu has worked for the development of marginalized and vulnerable students with a particular focus on their development and shaping them to learn respect, equality and social justice in higher education that is constantly responsive to changing social realities.
• He organised blood and medical camps in the village and donated blood to needy people. He financially assisted the poor people in the town and helped them in all possible ways.
• He worked for the people to promote human rights and promote people-contentedness and create an environmentally sustainable society.
• Suri Babu, In his village, carried out village development activities, such as removing garbage on roadsides and repairing damaged roads and current wires. And he paved the streets in his town.
• In his village and Mandal, Suri Babu has promoted students’ competence in spoken English, communication skills, higher education opportunities, employability skills, leadership qualities and entrepreneurship skills, and helped students in various competitive examinations.
• He fought with dharnas and protests to promote people’s social issues, equal opportunities, right to health, civil liberties and welfare of weaker sections and minorities.

Social Activities:

• Suri Babu seeks all his happiness by fulfilling the needs of the people around him. He goes out of his way to help everyone.
• He carries out activities that help society and people in education, medicine, health, natural disasters and social awareness.
• Suri Babu distributed vegetables, fruits, and medicines to the village’s unhealthy people. He gave books, pens and bags to the students of his town.
• He leads in promoting literacy among students and organising activities like education, medical, cultural, sports, arts, patriotism, media studies etc.
• Suri Babu has set up water tanks in his village to solve the water problem in his town.
• He always accompanies the elderly and orphans by providing them with the necessary help.
• He provided his financial support to the town’s poor people and donated a certain amount to the merit students for their higher education.

Pandemic Services:

• He came forward to help the needy who have been affected by lockdown and distributed Rice bags, vegetables, and fruits to the village, needy ones, and Municipality workers by following the precautions.
• Food item packets for drivers and migrant labourers were distributed whose livelihood has been affected during this lockdown period.
• Suri Babu came forward with humanity to help those in dire straits during the corona and provide financial assistance to the people who were affected by the lockdown.
• He apportioned Masks, Sanitizers, and food to the poor and also contributed to them financially. To spread awareness about social distancing and following precautionary measures to prevent the Epidemic Corona, an awareness program has been conducted.
• As part of the drive to eradicate the corona epidemic, Sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for the town’s safety.
• Suri Babu also provided free masks and sanitisers to people with corona deficiency symptoms at the hospital.
• He worked all day (Day and Night) during the Covid period and looked after the people. He is constantly available mainly to the poorest people in the zone.
