In a protest against comments made by KCR (Chief Minister of Telangana) suggesting changes to the Indian Constitution, protesters burned his effigy. Koppu Basha engaged in a verbal altercation with the police when they attempted to intervene. He stressed the sacred nature of the Indian Constitution to the people of India and criticized KCR for making comments that hurt the sentiments of the entire nation. The protesters demanded an apology from KCR for his remarks and warned against undermining the sanctity of the constitution.

Dubbaka MLAs Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao and State Dalit Morcha President Koppu Basha participated in a dharna held at the Ambedkar statue in Hayat Nagar Square under the leadership of SC Morcha in Rangareddy District. They demanded that the government provide Dalit Bandhu (reservations) to all deserving people. Following the dharna, a petition was submitted to the MRO (Mandal Revenue Officer).
