Koneti Swamy

Koneti Swamy is an Indian politician of the TRS Party and Sarpanch of VSR Nagar (Vanga Sudarshan Reddy Nagar) in Bachannapeta in Jangaon District in the Indian State of Telangana.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

On May 8, 1989, Koneti Swamy was born to Mr. Ramulu and Mrs. poolamma in the village of Katkur.

In the year 2005, Swamy acquired his secondary education from ZP High School located in Katkur and his intermediate education from Government Junior College in Cherial in 2009.

He obtained his graduation in 2012 from the Government Degree College in Cherial and obtained his post-graduation at Osmania University, Hyderabad, in 2014.

Later, in the year 2016, he acquired his B.ED. ( Bachelor of Education ) course from Sai Teja Education at Jangaon in Telangana.

PROFESSIONAl CAREER : 

After pursuing higher education, from 2015–2019, Swamy joined a news channel in search of employment suitable for his studies, and he worked as a Reporter in Mana Telangana, Janam Sakshi. And he manages the family responsibilities.

CAREER IN ABVP:

Before completing his education, Koneti Swamy entered politics with a passion to serve the people by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) as an Active Member to promote the right perspective on the need for holistic and sustainable development in students.

As a part of ABVP, Swamy expresses keen interest and performs every activity for the recognition of the respective party. His unwavering commitment and true effort gained him the position of ABVP College President from ABVP in 2007 and been constantly working for the people, thinking about their welfare, and gaining immense admiration from the people.

In view of the efforts being made for the development of the party, in 2009 ABVP offered him the post of District co-convener from Warangal as well to further enhance his responsibilities so that he could stay closer to the people and monitor their well-being every moment.

He ramped up his service and effort by accepting the position of BJYM Jangaon District President from Jangaon in 2017 to provide care for the people and the difficulties they face, and he worked in that capacity.

AS A TELANGANA ACTIVIST:

Swamy was a Telangana activist. During the Telangana movement, Swamy played an active role and fought for the creation of a new state, Telangana.

He participated in many social programs and was involved in the Million March, Maha padayatra bike rallies, and dharnas to form Telangana as a separate state. and he also played a vital role at Osmania University during the Telangana Movement.

POLITICAL CAREER :

In the year 2019, Swamy joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), founded by Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao, an Indian politician serving as the first and current Chief Minister of Telangana.

His unwavering commitment and genuine hard work earned him the post of the first-ever Sarpanch of VSR Nagar village in the year 2019. he is constantly working for the people, thinking of their welfare, and gaining immense admiration from them.

Awards and Recognitions:

Swamy was awarded the district-level award for the Best Sarpanch in 2022 at the Bahujan Sahithya Academy in Delhi.

Swamy received the Seva Ratna Award from the Warangal Telugu Velugu Sahitya Academy.

Swamy received the Best Gram Panchayat Award from the Sahitya Akademi in 2020.

Swamy received the Shramika Shakti Award at the state level in 2021 on behalf of VNRKS Karmika Sangam.

Development programs are done in the village :

•  14 lakhs have been spent in the village and construction of CC roads has been done
•  Construction of internal sewerage at a cost of Rs. 6.60 lakh six thousand from the collector’s special funds.
•  Rural nature forest work was done with 2.20 lakhs and 20,000 rupees from the collector’s special funds.
• 1,60,000 from the collector’s special power line to the graveyard.
• Construction of 330000 internal sewers from Mandal Parishad funds
• A crematorium was constructed in VSR Nagar village at a cost of Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand.
• A citation schedule has been constructed in the village at the cost of 3 lakh rupees
• The Gram Panchayat building was constructed with the special funds of the Central Government 20 lakh rupees
• A nursery was set up in the village with 2 lakh rupees
• A sports ground has been set up for the youth in the village at a cost of 2 lakh rupees.
• Vanga Ratnakar Reddy and Jayashankar Seva Samiti have spent about Rs. 1 lakh to put CCTV cameras in the village.
• VSR Yuvajan Sangam Community Building has been constructed at the cost of Rs.2 lakhs by donor Nallanagula Venkata Chari
• The Boru motor was fixed in the cemetery with the help of funds from Mandal Parishad special MPP, which cost 1 lakh rupees.

 SOCIAL SERVICES:

• He organized the blood camp and medical camp twice a month in the village and donated blood for needy people. He financially assisted the poor people in the village and helped them in all possible ways.
• He distributed fruits and medicines to the village’s unhealthy and needy people.
• conducted the Annadhanam Program, which served and satisfied many hungry people in his village.
• Money was donated to the families of the poor during the wedding to support their families financially. He assisted the death-affected family financially for their survival.
• If anyone in the village encounters any problem, he will be at the forefront of the problem. He will assist those who come to him for help and provide the essential things that they require.
• He enlightened the people who were deceived into believing superstitions blindly and created awareness of not believing all these Mantras.
• He creates awareness of the welfare schemes for the poor and helps them to survive their lives by issuing the Kalyana Laxmi Scheme, Shadi Mubarak, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, Pensions, and Bhoomi Pass Books.
• A park has been set up in the village for the welfare of the children so that they can play and have fun. Malaria, typhoid, and dengue fever awareness camps were set up, as well as polio vaccinations for infants.
• Swamy celebrates Seemantham for the pregnant lady in his village on an auspicious day by showering blessings, giving fruits, saree bangles, etc.
• When any of the old houses in Tanda village collapse owing to natural disasters, Sarpanch Swamy constructs new ones for them. He responds quickly and addresses any problems that the farmers have with the transformer.
• He provided financial assistance to students during their examinations, and as an encouragement, an award or prize money would be offered to the toppers.

DURING THE PANDEMIC SERVICES WERE PROVIDED:

• During the corona, for the safety of the village and the villagers, a checkpoint was set up in the village to prevent the villagers from going outside and to help the villagers by distributing rice bags, vegetables, and essential things.
• If the people were not vaccinated, Swamy drove his own vehicle to his residence and vaccinated them.
• Food packets were distributed to migrant laborers from another state whose livelihood has been impacted by the lockdown.
• He apportioned masks, Sanitizerssanitizers, and food to the poor and also contributed to them financially. To spread awareness about social distancing and follow precautionary measures to prevent the Epidemic Corona an awareness program has been conducted.
• As part of the drive to eradicate the corona epidemic, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all over the village for safety of the village.
• He worked all day (day and night) during the COVID period and looked after the people. He is constantly available, mainly to the poorest people in the zone.
• When victims died as a direct result of Corona, and family members and locals were worried that no one would come forward, Sarpanch Swamy attended and handled the burial in respective traditions.
