Konda Purushottam Reddy

Konda Purushottam Reddy is an Indian Politician and TRSKV State General Secretary of Telangana, State Working President of Telangana Medical and Public Health Employees Union, (Reg.No H-1) and District Secretary of Munnurkapu Sangam in Mahabubnagar.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

On the 12th of September 1969, Purushottam Reddy was born to the couple Mr. Konda Venkat Reddy and Mrs. Konda Sarojini Devi and resided at Hanwada (Village& Mandal) in Mahabubnagar district in the Indian State of Telangana.

In the year 1985, Purushottam obtained his Secondary Board of Education from Mahatma Gandhi Road Government High School placed at Mahabubnagar and completed his Undergraduate course from Government Junior College located at Kosgi Mandal in Mahabubnagar District in 1988.

He attained his Graduation of Degree from M.V.S. Degree College was situated at Mahabubnagar, Telangana in 1992, and acquired his Pathology lab technician course from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, Gulbarga in 1994.

EARLY CAREER IN POLITICS:

Before completing his education, in the year 1988, Purushottam entered politics with a passion to serve the people by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP) and serving as a Member to promote the right perspective toward the need for holistic and sustainable development in students.

Upon Joining, he was designated as the Government Junior College Games Secretary in Kosgi Mandal  from ABVP in 1988 to serve the people and tackle the issues raised by executing his tasks effectively and adhering to the party’s policies and guidelines.

He holds several positions in ABVP during the student phase and shows his solutions to every problem faced by the students by providing his support. In the year 1992, Purushottam Reddy switched to through the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP).

Purushottam Reddy takes a genuine interest in the Party and participates proactively in every activity, executing his responsibilities following a code of conduct and for the benefit of the party’s public exposure.

As a result, he was appointed as the BJP Mandal President of Hanwada Mandal in 1992, where he has served solely for the benefit of the people and has not betrayed the trust that the party has placed in him, and has earned the support of the party and the people by carrying out the responsibilities, duties, and powers that have been assigned to him till 1995.

In 1995, he was elected as the village Sarpanch of Hanwada village in Mahabubnagar district by a majority of 1200 votes by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for his commitment to the development and welfare of the people. He was elected for giving services to the people by addressing their requirements. Purushottam Reddy resigned from his position as Village Sarpanch during his term after being offered a government position as a Pathology Lab Technician at the DM & HO office in Mahabubnagar.

Later on, Purushottam Reddy joined the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), and was appointed as the Mahabubnagar District Secretary for Medical and Health Wing in 2005 in addition to his primary responsibilities up to 2018.

In addition to his primary responsibilities, he was appointed and has served as the Red Cross Society Managing Committee Member of Mahabubnagar between 2006 to 2008 to ensure that the initial and subsequent tasks run smoothly, and in 2012, Purushottam Reddy was designated and has been serving as the District Secretary of Munurkapu Sangam of Mahabubnagar in Telangana State as a process of excessive his commitments.

After receiving the authority and performing every activity as his responsibility for the welfare of the people, Purushottam Reddy was designated as the TRSKV State General Secretary of Telangana in 2014. Since then he has been executing his responsibilities following a code of conduct and also for the benefit of the recognition.

He extended his service and work by accepting the respectable position of Pochamma Colony President at Mahabubnagar to look after the people and the issues they are facing and served with the assigned position.

As a Telangana Activist:

Purushottam Reddy was a Telangana Activist, During Telangana Movement i.e., from 2004-to 2014, Purushottam Reddy played an active role and fought for the creation of a new state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India.

He participated in many social Programs and was involved in Million March, Bike Rallies, and Dharan’s to form Telangana as a separate State. Purushottam Reddy was imprisoned while participating in the movement.

He set up a Vanta Varpu during the period of Rasta Roko and in programs of Sakala Jamula Samme, Bahiranga Saba, and many more dharnas and rallies were held in continuous movement.

He has been served conscientiously for the prosperity of the people from the party’s inception to the present day, consistently aspiring for the party’s and society’s advancement, and performing desperate service to society and for the goodness of the people.

Activities Performed as the BJP Mandal President:

During his tenure as BJP Mandal President, his region had a high level of untouchability and disunity. SC and ST were treated as if they were not permitted in the temple, and the two glass processes in hotels were excessive. Purushottam Reddy came to prominence at a period when Christians were stirring and preaching, and Purushottam Reddy fought tirelessly to eradicate them permanently.

Dharnas and protests were staged to call for the abolition of the two-glass norm in hotels. Hotels were also shuttered for five days as part of the protest. Purushottam Reddy met with the MRO as part of the demonstrations and urged that action be made to abolish untouchability.
Today, the people of Hanwada village live independently, free of slavery. The then-aristocracy seized control of the temple properties that had been taken by Brahmins and landlords. Purushottam reddy negotiated with higher authorities, and the occupied lands were used for the building of primary healthcare centers, MRO headquarters, MPDO Offices, and Kasturba Government High schools.

Boreholes were dug and water taps were set up in order to alleviate the water constraint. With the help of the union, he dug bore-wells in the village and ensured a good water supply to every household to alleviate the water shortage.

CAREER IN THE COMMUNITY:

In 1994, Purushottam Reddy was appointed as the Nehru Yuvaka Mandali President of Hanwada and has been serving the people with the assigned position to the people by satisfying their necessities of them.

Recognizing the work that Purushottam Reddy was doing for the People, He was elected as the Telangana Medical employees Union District Secretary INTUC of Mahabubnagar in 2009 to provide more services by continuing his duties and serving people all the way.

He won the admiration of the people by using the responsibilities, duties, and powers assigned to him so that he was honored as the Telangana Medical employees Union District President TRSKV in 2012 for the good of the people without jeopardizing the faith placed in him.

Given the efforts being made for the development of the Union, they offered him the post of State Working President of Telangana Medical and Public Health Employees Union  in 2012 and discharged his duties by being very cautious during performing the activities of the Union. In 2014, he was appointed as TRSKV State General Secretary from Telangana state and currently working in the position

Being serving in the assigned positions, Purushottam Reddy has performed many social and welfare activities for the people. From the moment he has begun his social life till now he has been using all his resources for the people and pursuing his happy life of public welfare.

Activities Performed through Union:

• He Provided moral support to the villagers and created employment for the graduated students who were unemployed after the conclusion of their education.
• Purushottam is fighting with the government to provide proper employment to the unemployed who are worried about getting a proper job even after graduation.
• He denounces the sufferings and abuses of people and struggles for their dignity in society, as well as for the protection of their lands that have been unlawfully taken over by the landlords.
• Apart from providing humanitarian assistance to the flood victims, he extended his core of service to provide compensation to the victims who were been affected during the rainy season.
• As a Social Activist, Purushottam exposed his social service by distributing books, dresses, and essential things to needy people Every Year, he set up a cool water plant in the village for the people and the outsiders.
• Blood donation camps and Medical camps were set up in the village by donating blood and providing medicines free of cost to the needy people.
• As a first step towards providing modern treatment mainly to the poor patients, he has set up free Blood and Health care Camps.

Social Activities:

• Under the auspices of TRS, Every year on the Birth Anniversary of the TRS Party Founder KCR, a blood donation camp was organized and also donated blood to the needy people.
• As a part of the encouragement to the students, He conducted District and State level Tournaments for the sport Cricket and motivates the sports players.
• He has been serving as a boon to students from the weaker sections of society by providing them with financial assistance and accommodation fees for their entire course.
• Purushottam Reddy has been fighting with the government to provide proper employment to the unemployed who are worried about getting a proper job even after graduation.
• He mainly focused on issues related to students like Fee reimbursement and worked hard to ensure that scholarships were granted to students immediately.
• Every year he Distributed books, pens, and clothes to poor children for their higher education and also helped them financially for their bright future, and also distributed Prizes to the 1st and 2nd Standard Students during the Conduct of Sports.
• Purushottam Reddy conducted the Swachh Bharat Program with the slogan “One step towards cleanliness” to focus on improving cleanliness and hygiene in urban and rural areas, workplaces, and residences.
• Purushottam Reddy has taken an active interest in environmental protection by participating in the Haritha Haram Program and casting the plants in the community.
• Purushottam Reddy is always seeking and contending for the people’s well-being. He will aid people who come to him for assistance and provide people with the necessities they desire.

Pandemic Services:

• Purushottam Reddy sneaked toward to assist people who had been affected by the lock down by giving vegetables and fruits to villages, the homeless, and Municipality employees while following the procedures in place.
• He helped the poor by distributing items such as masks, hand sanitizers, and food, as well as monetary assistance.
• An awareness demonstration was performed to raise awareness about social distance and the need of taking precautionary steps in an attempt to eliminate the Corona Epidemic from occurring.
• When the coronavirus was finally exterminated, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed across the whole village to ensure that the villagers were not exposed to any harmful effects.
• The Covid Immunization Drive was organized in response to Prime Minister Modi’s plea order to increase awareness among the general population about the need of acquiring a free corona vaccination.
• During the pandemic, A door to door survey was organized and raised awareness about the virus Covid and provided precautions to be followed.
