Kolikapogu Venkateshwarao

Mr. Kolikapogu Venkateshwarao is an Indian Social Activist and Founder and President of Manava Hakkula Abhaya Sankshema Sangam in Penuballi Mandal of Khammam District, Telangana.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

In 1993, Venkateshawarao was born and raised by the couple Mr. Kolikapogu Chinna Pullarao and Mrs. Kolikapogu Nagaratnam in the village of Ramachander Rao Banjara in Penuballi Mandal of Khammam District in the Indian State of Telangana.

Venkateshawarao acquired his SSC Standard from Zilla Parishad High School at Penuballi in Khammam District and completed his Intermediate Education at Government Junior College in Sattupalli.

CAREER IN SOCIAL LIFE:

Manava Hakkula Abhaya Sankshema Sangam

The Manava Hakkula Abhaya Sankshema Sangam was established in the year 2013 by a youthful and visionary social entrepreneur. The founder successfully assembled a group of like-minded individuals who share a common objective of contributing to the betterment of society through their efforts focused on child education, holistic child development, and women’s empowerment.

Mission: The Sangam envisions a world where every child is nurtured with love and care and provided with ample opportunities to realize their full potential and attain a bright future. The Sangam aspires to create a world where the innocence of children is not tarnished by the cruel practice of child labor, and where women’s well-being is prioritized, empowering them to sustain themselves and their families.

Vision: The Sangam strives to make this vision a reality through its dedicated efforts and unwavering commitment. It aims to promote the cause of child education, holistic child development, and women’s empowerment by collaborating with various stakeholders, including the government, NGOs, and the community at large.

Services Rendered and Activities Performed:

• Venkateshawarao consistently advocates against acts of corruption, firmly believing that earning money through corrupt means is not only a disgrace to our nation but also akin to worthless scrap paper. Furthermore, he contends that individuals who engage in such reprehensible practices are not deserving of societal respect.
• In the event of any disputes concerning land ownership among village residents, Venkateshawarao assumed a mediating role and tenaciously pursued resolution to ensure that rightful landowners received their respective properties.
• He demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of students by facilitating the provision of all necessary amenities in hostels without any restrictions or biases toward a single student. Additionally, Venkateshawarao urged hostel administrators to prioritize the provision of quality food and overall better facilities for their students.
• In a laudable effort to address the healthcare needs of the village community, he organized blood donation and medical camps, providing free medications and treatments to those in need. 
• Further, he extended his philanthropic efforts by coordinating eye camps for elderly citizens living in remote areas without access to hospitals, thereby providing them with much-needed medical care.
• He demonstrated his commitment to humanitarianism by donating wheelchairs at no cost to individuals who were born with disabilities or experienced accidental loss of limbs. 
• Additionally, Venkateshawarao tirelessly advocated for the rights of farmers who were impacted by government policies that were detrimental to their livelihoods. 
• Specifically, he fought for allocating agricultural land to farmers to ensure their ability to cultivate and sustain themselves, as well as for the provision of dry fertilizers. He also supported farmers in their strikes against agricultural reforms, advocating for discounted crop prices.
•  Throughout his tenure, Venkateshawarao dedicated himself to the welfare of farmers, striving to ensure that they received fair prices for their crops despite challenges posed by market forces. 
• Moreover, Venkateshawarao vigorously campaigned for the rights of individuals from lower-caste categories, fighting to secure for them the benefits of reservation policies.

Services Rendered through Pandemic:

• He provided masks, sanitizers, meals, and financial aid to underprivileged people.
•  To ensure the safety of the general public, a solution of sodium hypochlorite was sprayed throughout the village to eliminate the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Venkateshawarao took it upon himself to assist those affected by the lockdown by distributing vegetables and fruits to villagers, the needy, and Municipality personnel while taking appropriate precautions. 
• A demonstration was organized to raise awareness about the importance of social distancing and the need to adopt prudent measures to prevent the spread of the Corona Epidemic. 
• During the global lockdown, Venkateshawarao supported people by providing meals while adhering to specific preventive measures. 
• To safeguard the villagers, a sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed throughout the village to eliminate the Corona infection.
