He started his Political Journey with the Independent. He worked as State President of STUAP of Andhra Pradesh. He was served as Co-Chairman of APJAC(Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee). He was the Chairman of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Teachers Organisations (FAPTO).

In 2017, He was elected as Teacher the Member of the Legislative Council(MLC) from Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.
