Kathi Chelama Raju

Kathi Chelama Raju is the President of State Joint Secretary Legal Cell from the YCP, Andhra Pradesh. He was born on 09-09-1973 to Kathi Danam and Seethadevi in Gurazala village. In 1988, He studied SSC standard at St.Joseph high school, Rentachintala, and completed Intermediate from Govt junior college, Gurazala in 1990. He discontinued his Degree(B.Sc) at Andhra Christian University in 1991.

Raju graduated with a Degree course(one sitting BA) from Osmania University in 1994. He completed his Master’s in M.A(Economics) from 1995-1997. He completed M.A Theater Arts from Osmania University from 1998-2000. In 2000, He worked as a Private Lecturer at Osmania University. He completed LLB from Jagarlamodi Chandramouli Law College. From 2007-2013, He studied M.Phil(Economics) at Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamilnadu. He was an Advocate.

In 2003, Raju started his political journey with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He contested as MLA from Gurazala in 2004 he gained 5000 votes but he lost the position. He Resigned from the BSP party in 2007 and joined the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). From 2007-2013, he served as State Publicity Secretary from SC cell. In 2014, he Resigned from the TDP party and joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party(YSRCP). Since 2015, he has been working as President of State Joint Secretary Legal Cell from the YCP Andhra Pradesh.

Recent Activities:

• He brought Ambedkarism into the village. He fought against the collection of illegal electricity stamps also fought on the issues of Dalit’s, Bahujan’s. Raju fought against to “Parashakthi Cement” factory about the looting of farmer’s lands and compensated them. He fought on every issue in the constituency.
• Raju is a Social Activist, he involves in so many welfare Activities as he also participated in Haritha Haram, Swachh Bharath, Palle Pragathi Programs. He freely distributed Masks, sanitizers, Vegetables, and Rice to people at the time of COVID-19 lockdown. Donated masks, Sanitizers, and  food to the Migrants, financially helped them.
• He provided Scholarships to the Students and also donated food, clothes, Plates, money, and lamps. He sponsored money to the poor people and motivated students for their studies and paid fees to Merit students.
• He financially helped poor people, Orphans, Old age home people and also fought for the development activities like laying of CC Roads, Drainage clearance, Putting up Street lights, and  solving of Water Problems in his village.
