As I reflect on my journey of service and leadership, I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to serve the people of Jawahar Nagar’s 28th Division. My path to public service was paved by the values instilled in me by my father, a respected local sarpanch whose dedication to community welfare inspired me from a young age. Witnessing the transformative impact of his leadership on our town fueled my determination to follow in his footsteps and contribute meaningfully to the betterment of society.

Joining the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in 2020 marked a pivotal moment in my journey, as it provided me with a platform to translate my passion for public service into action. Guided by the principles of integrity, inclusivity, and compassion, I embarked on a mission to address the pressing issues facing our community and uplift the lives of its residents. With the unwavering support of my family and the endorsement of Honourable Chamakuru Mallareddy, Minister and Representative of the Medchal Constituency, I entered the political arena with a steadfast commitment to serve as a voice for the people.

As the Corporator of the 28th Division, I have dedicated myself wholeheartedly to the cause of youth empowerment and community development. Through proactive initiatives and collaborative efforts, I have strived to create positive change and foster a culture of progress and inclusivity in our locality. I sincerely believe that by working together with diligence and compassion, we can overcome challenges, realize our collective aspirations, and build a brighter future for all.

Childhood and Early Life

Karingula Niharika Goud was born on October 10, 1994, to Mr and Mrs Karingula Shanker Goud in the vibrant neighbourhood of Balaji Nagar, Kapra Mandal, Medchal District, Telangana. Growing up in this culturally rich environment, Niharika imbibed strong community values and developed a sense of responsibility towards societal welfare from a young age. Her upbringing in a supportive family nurtured her ambitions and laid the groundwork for her future endeavours.

Academic Pursuits

Niharika Goud’s academic journey began at Jawahar Nagar Pinion High School (JNPHS), where she completed her Secondary School Certificate in 2010. Demonstrating a strong aptitude for science, she continued her education at Sri Chaitanya Junior College, specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC), and completed her Intermediate Education in 2012. Her quest for knowledge and excellence led her to Bhavan’s Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities & Commerce in Sainikpuri, Secunderabad, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in 2010. Her academic achievements reflect her dedication, hard work, and intellectual prowess.

Beyond her academic accomplishments, Niharika actively participated in various extracurricular activities, which helped her develop a well-rounded personality and strong leadership skills. Professional Career

In 2015, Niharika Goud began her professional journey with Infosys, a prominent information technology company, where she quickly rose to Team Leader. In this role, she has adeptly balanced multiple tasks and responsibilities, meeting her team’s and clients’ diverse needs while simultaneously managing her family obligations. Her dedication, organizational skills, and ability to efficiently handle complex projects have made her a respected leader and inspiration to her peers.

Achievements and Contributions of Niharika Goud in the 28th Division

Infrastructure Development

• Sanctioned CC Roads: In 2022, under the authorization of Minister Mallareddy, Niharika Goud successfully secured the approval for cement concrete (CC) roads in Kapra Mandal. This crucial development project extends from Sai Baba Colony to Vikalangula Colony. The construction of these roads has significantly improved transportation infrastructure and connectivity in the region, enhancing mobility and access for residents.

Water Crisis Alleviation

• Boreholes by BITS Pilani College: To address the persistent water scarcity in the 28th division, BITS Pilani College took the initiative to drill boreholes. This intervention has been pivotal in ensuring a more reliable water supply for the community.
• Financial Contribution: BITS Pilani College supported this effort with a generous donation of three lakh rupees, which helped facilitate the drilling and establishing the boreholes.
• Personal Funding: Demonstrating her commitment to solving local issues, Niharika Goud personally funded the drilling of eight additional boreholes. She contributed another three lakh rupees from her resources, further alleviating the water crisis and ensuring residents have better access to clean water.

Social Welfare Initiatives

• Support for Disabled Individuals: Through the CP Foundation Bhagwat, Niharika Goud has provided essential mobility aids to disabled individuals in her division. This includes distributing crutches to the blind, hearing aids to the deaf, and wheelchairs to the physically disabled, significantly improving their quality of life.
• Healthcare Services: Niharika organized free surgical procedures for eight needy individuals, ensuring they received critical medical care. Additionally, she hosted around twenty health camps annually, staffed by medical professionals from various local institutions. These health camps have provided essential medical services and screenings to many residents, promoting overall community health.

Housing for the Disabled

• Government Housing: In Vikalangula Colony, Niharika facilitated the provision of government housing for approximately thirty disabled households. This initiative has offered much-needed stability and support to these families, ensuring they have a safe and secure place to live.

Educational Support for Children

• Anganwadi Schools: Recognizing the importance of education for young children, Niharika provided essential items and plates to children attending Anganwadi schools in Ayyappa Kalani. This support has enhanced these young learners’ educational experience and well-being, contributing to their overall development.

Community Support and Government Welfare

• Welfare Distribution: Niharika has proactively distributed various government welfare benefits to eligible residents in her division. This includes Kalyana Laxmi Cheques, Shadi Mubarak Cheques, pensions, KC Kits, and CM Relief Fund assistance. Her efforts ensure that those in need receive the support they are entitled to, improving their living conditions and financial stability.

Special Initiatives for Women

• Wedding Support: To support women from poor backgrounds, Niharika organized the distribution of Puste Mettalu for wedding ceremonies. This initiative has significantly relieved families by covering some of the wedding expenses.
• DWCRA Women’s Associations: Niharika established a new DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) Women’s Associations in the division. These associations aim to promote women’s advancement and empowerment, providing them with economic independence and social development opportunities.

Environmental Efforts

• Tree Planting: As part of the Harita Haram initiative, Niharika oversaw planting two thousand saplings in the 28th division. This large-scale tree planting effort contributes to environmental conservation, enhances the green cover, and promotes ecological balance in the area.

Infrastructure Improvements

• HMWS Pipelines: Niharika facilitated the laying of new Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply (HMWS) pipelines in newly established colonies, including Lakshmi Narasimha Colony, Professor Jayashankar Nagar, and Nehru Nagar Colony. These pipelines have improved water distribution and access for residents.
• Black Line Connections: She ensured that black lines were installed to connect homes, further enhancing the water supply infrastructure and ensuring residents have reliable access to water.

Governance and Integrity

• Non-Corrupt Governance: Since being elected as the 28th division corporator in 2020, Niharika Goud has maintained a spotless record of non-corrupt governance. Her leadership is characterized by transparency, accountability, and a steadfast commitment to ethical practices.
• Responsive Leadership: Niharika prioritizes the growth and well-being of her constituents, responding promptly to their needs and challenges.   Petitions and Advocacy Efforts by Niharika Goud

  Health and Medical Facilities

  • Petition for a Hospital: Niharika Goud presented a petition to the Telangana Government Health Minister, requesting the construction of a 100-bed hospital in Jawahar Nagar, a city with a population of three lakhs. This initiative aims to improve healthcare accessibility and services for the residents.
  • Basti Hospital Request: Recognizing the healthcare challenges faced by residents of Ebrasi Colony and Vikalangula Colony, Niharika brought their concerns to the attention of Minister Mallareddy. The residents highlighted the difficulties posed by the distance to the nearest government hospital. In response, Niharika successfully advocated for constructing a Basti hospital specifically for these communities. Minister Mallareddy agreed to the request, and the new facility is now underway, fulfilling the residents’ hopes for better healthcare access.

  Education and Youth Support

  • Education Continuation for Labourers: Niharika Goud sent a petition to the Minister of Education, Sabita Indira Reddy, advocating for poor children from Jawahar Nagar who have completed the tenth grade. She requested that these children, who are otherwise poised to enter the workforce as labourers, be allowed to continue their education, opening up more opportunities for their future.
  • Sports Facilities and Support: To support youth sports in Jawahar Nagar, Niharika petitioned the Minister of Sports and Exercise, Talasani Srinivas Yadav. She proposed providing fields and financial support for local youth sports programs. Additionally, she highlighted the need for government employment opportunities and training grounds for students, enabling them to pursue sports professionally.

  Community Development

  • Colony Growth Petition: Niharika brought the growth needs of the 28th division colonies to the attention of MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha. She submitted a petition to the MLC fund, detailing the required developments to support the growing population and improve living conditions in these colonies.

    Christmas Celebrations and Charitable Contributions

    • Gift Distribution: Telangana government officials gave Christmas presents to the state’s Christian population, including donations to the Jawahar Nagar Municipal Corporation (JMC). The government partnered with corporate benefactors and Christian charities to identify the recipients of these charitable contributions.
    • Community Engagement: Corporator K. Niharika of the 28th Division actively participated in the Christmas celebrations by visiting various churches, greeting pastors, and wishing them a Merry Christmas. She ensured gifts were sent to low-income households, who expressed gratitude to K. Shankar Goud and Corporator K. Niharika. The event also saw participation from community members such as B. Venkatesh, Ramesh Chari, Mahender Yadav, Swami, and Srinu, who helped distribute food and contributed significantly to the event’s success.

    Infrastructure Repair and Maintenance

    • Flood Damage Response: Following recent floods that caused extensive damage to roads and lanes in the 28th Division, Corporator K. Niharika and former Sarpanch K. Shankar Goud took swift action. They deployed JCB equipment to restore and level several areas, including Muthuswamy Colony and Vikalangula Colony Main Road. The local community expressed deep gratitude for their efforts in rebuilding and reconstructing the streets.

    Support for Vulnerable Populations

    • Blanket Distribution: Corporator K. Niharika supervised the distribution of blankets to the needy in the 28th Division, mainly targeting the disabled colony. This initiative aimed to provide warmth and comfort during cold weather. Niharika emphasized that support for the less advanced, disabled, and elderly would continue indefinitely. The recipients thanked K. Shankar Goud and Corporator K. Niharika for their compassion and assistance.

    Health and Medical Camps

    • Free Medical Camp: Under the auspices of CMR Hospital, a free medical camp was organized in the 28th Division. Corporator Niharika Goud played a key role in developing this camp, where doctors administered medications to around 150 people. Hospital Chairman Gopal Reddy, Doctors Venukumar and Pawan, Division President Venkatesh, and other officials participated, ensuring that the camp was a success.

    Religious and Development Initiatives

    • Religious Ceremonies and Infrastructure: Corporator Karingula Niharika Goud, along with former Sarpanch Jawahar Nagar and TRS senior leaders Karingula Shankar Goud, performed pujas to Peddamma Devi and Pochamma Devi in the colony. They also inaugurated the Mission Bhagiratha Pipeline in Professor Jayashankar Colony, enhancing the water supply infrastructure in the area.

      • Support for the Needy: During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Niharika Goud undertook significant efforts to assist those in need. Over one hundred days, she ensured the delivery of food supplies and other necessities, including rice and vegetables, to one thousand residents of the 28th Division.

      Health and Safety Measures

      • Health Camp Establishment: Law enforcement personnel collaborated to establish a health camp in response to the health crisis. This camp provided free face masks, hand sanitisers, and vitamin pills to the public, contributing to the community’s health and safety during the pandemic.

      Charitable Donations and Financial Assistance

      • The generosity of Donors: The residents of the 28th Division benefited from the generosity of donors Harathi and Mohan, who contributed three lakh rupees to distribute essential goods. This financial support played a crucial role in meeting the community’s basic needs during challenging times.
      • CM Relief Fund Assistance: Talakukula Mallesh, a resident of Muthuswamy Colony in Balaji Nagar, fell ill due to COVID-19 and required treatment in a private hospital. With the assistance of Corporator Niharika Goud, he applied for the CM Relief Fund and was granted a cheque for sixty thousand rupees. The cheque was presented to Mallesh at his home by the Honorable Telangana State Minister Chamakura Mallareddy, providing much-needed financial relief.

Awards and Recognitions: Honoring K. Niharika’s Exemplary Leadership:

• Swami Vivekananda’s birthday is celebrated as a national holiday honouring young people, emphasizing their vital role in the nation’s development. This year, the event saw the esteemed presence of former MLA and BC leader R. Krishnaiah and was a resounding success. Among those honoured was K. Niharika, the Corporator of the 28th Division in Telangana. She received recognition from the Swamiji Somajiguda Press Club for her exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment, and tireless efforts in serving her community. This accolade highlights Niharika’s dedication to fostering growth and progress within her division, reflecting the values and spirit imparted by Swami Vivekananda.

• Best Social Service Award: Recognizing Miss Karingula Niharika Goud’s Remarkable Contributions

  Miss Karingula Niharika Goud was honoured and presented with the “Best Social Service Award” for 2020-21 by the GHMC Deputy Mayor, Mothe Srilatha, and Mothe Shoban Reddy. This prestigious award acknowledges her outstanding contributions to social service and her remarkable dedication to serving the people. Niharika’s relentless efforts and impactful initiatives have positively impacted the community, earning her well-deserved recognition and appreciation from the authorities.

Miss Karingula Niharika Goud’s deep-rooted passion for public service was nurtured by her father, who served as the local sarpanch. Under his leadership, the town prospered, and the lives of its residents improved significantly. Following in her father’s footsteps, Niharika embarked on a journey of academic and professional excellence. After completing her education, she joined Infosys, where her intellect and leadership skills propelled her to the position of Team Leader. Amidst her professional endeavours, Niharika also took on the responsibility of alleviating some of the family’s financial burdens, demonstrating her commitment to supporting her father’s legacy of service.

Inspired by her family’s legacy and guided by her father’s counsel, Niharika entered politics. Joining the Bharat Rashtra Samithi Party, she found a platform to channel her passion for public welfare and community development. Her dedication and potential did not go unnoticed, as she received the endorsement of Honourable Chamakuru Mallareddy, Minister and Representative of the Medchal Constituency, for her efforts to uplift the Medchal Constituency and its residents.

As the Corporator of Jawahar Nagar’s 28th Division, Niharika Goud embarked on a campaign centred on youth empowerment. Elected to office, she has since been hailed as a Queen with a kind heart . Revered in Jawahar Nagar for her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her constituents and the advancement of her community, Niharika continues to serve as a beacon of hope and progress, earning the admiration and respect of all those she touches with her tireless dedication and selfless service.
