Kalapala Lakshminarayana

 

Kalapaka Lakshminarayana is a well known Social Activist and Founder & Chairperson of Chandrika Trust.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:

Kalapala Laxminarayana was born on 1st January of 1979, to the couple of Mr. Kalapala Huzur and Mrs. Kalapala Varalaxmi and was raised in the Veerampalem Village in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State.

Lakshmi Narayana studied till 9th class in Zilla Parishad High School, Tadikalapudi is a Village in West Godavari District.

Basically Lakshmi Narayana hails from an agricultural family. After the accomplishment of his studies he started farming his land.

SOCIAL SERVICE:

Lakshminarayana had a keen interest in social service from an early age and was always serving his neighbours.

The Chandrika Trust was created in 2018 with the primary goal of assisting the needy by providing them with the necessities they require and the trust started with 10 members.

Every year, five members are recruited to participate in social work in the spirit of Lakshmi Narayana.

Since the day he accepted the reputable position he was desperately carrying out the duties assigned to him without heeding the trust placed on him in addition to his primary responsibility ,he is addressing the problems faced by the people.

The Trust started with 10 members and now has 25 members.

Lakshminarayana elected as Vice President of Kamavarapu Kota MRPS (Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti) is a not-for profit organization formed to demand the categorization of the SC reservation quota in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to ensure equitable distribution of state allocations for all the constituent Dalit castes, including the Madiga.

Lakshminarayana worked to get the government to pay compensation to the people for the crop damage caused by the cyclone.

COVID ACTIVITIES:

• During the first and second waves of Corona, Lakshminarayana offered financial and humanitarian assistance to people who were impacted by the lockdown.
• Lakshminarayana and his fellow members distributed Vegetables and food to the poor and needy people in the Village and quarantined people as well by following certain precautions.
• Food item packets for Vehicle drivers and migrant laborers were distributed whose livelihood has been affected during this lockdown period.
• For the public’s protection, sodium hypochlorite solution was sprayed all around the village as part of the effort to eliminate the corona outbreak.
• The Trust members distributed masks, sanitizers, and food to the underprivileged, as well as financial assistance.
• In the name of Trust they helped the Handicapped peoples by providing clothes to them.

PERSONAL LIFE:

Lakshminarayana after being settled in his career he happily engaged and married the Padma. These ethnic couple has settled in a happy life.
