EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION:
Praveen Kumar was born on June 10th, 1985, to Mr. Jookanti Keshavulu and Mrs. Jookanti Padma. His childhood was spent in the village of Parupally, which is located in Rajapet Mandal of the Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri District in the Indian state of Telangana.
Praveen attended Zilla Parishad High School in Bondugula Village of Rajapet Mandal to pursue his academic aspirations, where he obtained his SSC Standard in the year 2000. He then completed his Intermediate Education in 2002 at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Junior College at Bhuvanagiri. To further his education, he underwent TTC training in Hyderabad, which helped him develop a strong teaching and education foundation.
Praveen’s commitment to his education paid off when he attained his graduation Degree from SVS Degree College at Vidyanagar, Hyderabad, in 2005. He later pursued his Post Graduation and obtained an M.A. degree in 2007. He then took a brief break from his studies before returning to pursue his B.Ed, which he completed in 2022 from Gandhi Educational College in Hayath Nagar. During his academic journey, Praveen demonstrated a strong work ethic and a desire to learn, which paved the way for his future success.
EARLY CAREER IN POLITICS:
Praveen Kumar has always been fascinated by politics and has dedicated his life to serving the people by becoming a politician. Since his early years, he has been passionate about making a difference in people’s lives through his services. He strongly believes that his work should lead to the success of the people he serves. In 2003, Praveen Kumar began his career as a politician by joining the BC Student Association while pursuing his education. He recognized the importance of fighting for the rights of students and took up the challenge of representing their interests. He addressed several student issues, such as fee reimbursement and disputes, at the college level and among students.
As the Nalgonda Secretary of the BC Students Association in 2003, Praveen Kumar demonstrated his commitment to the well-being and development of students. This appointment resulted from his dedication to promoting the well-being and education of the backward classes in Telangana.
As the State Coordinator, his primary responsibility is to oversee and promote the development of comprehensive educational and welfare programs that cater to the needs of the backward classes. In carrying out his duties, he is expected to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders, to ensure the effective implementation of these programs.
Activities Performed as a Responsible Leader:
- In the aftermath of the electricity workers’ union’s appeal to Chalo Pragathi Bhavan to address the issues of the electricity workers, Kale Mahesh, Bala Narasimha, and Sainath, the leaders of the union, were detained under the pretext of early arrest and taken to the Rajpet Mandal Police Station. This incident highlights the need for constructive dialogue and a peaceful resolution to the concerns of workers.
- In Yasangi, the government has promptly responded to the possibility of untimely rains causing the grain cultivated by the farmers to be submerged. The government has requested that the establishment of grain purchase centers be expedited to support the farmers. This is a proactive approach to address the challenges faced by farmers and demonstrates the government’s commitment to their welfare.
- During the Jayanthi Sabha organized at the district center under the direction of the District Collector to celebrate the 197th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Jookanti Praveen Kumar, state coordinator of the Jookanti Utsava Committee, made an appeal to the government to confer the Bharat Ratna on the Phule couple. The couple initiated social reforms in the country, promoted women’s education, and eradicated social inequalities.

- On the sixth day of the relay hunger strike aimed at securing the declaration of Ghunadhapuram village as a mandal, Jookanti Praveen Kumar expressed his solidarity with the movement.
