I am Jaya Pradeep, a proud native of Sembakkam, Tamil Nadu, and a steadfast advocate for societal progress and equitable governance. My journey, rooted in a lineage of public service and guided by the core values of integrity, empathy, and accountability instilled by my parents, Shri Chandran and Smt. Girija, has shaped my unwavering commitment to serving the community. From my early academic endeavors at Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School to earning a Diploma and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and later pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Sri Venkateswara University, my educational path has equipped me with a robust foundation of knowledge and strategic acumen essential for addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by our society.

My professional career, initiated in the construction industry, not only honed my technical expertise and leadership capabilities but also underscored the significance of social responsibility. My engagement in organizing medical camps and welfare initiatives in underserved communities instilled in me a deep sense of purpose, reinforcing my resolve to effect tangible change. This commitment to societal upliftment found its expression in my tenure as the Charter President of Lion’s Club 324A6, where I led impactful community programs, followed by my role as District Chairperson and Sports Zonal Chairman. The establishment of CJP Sports Academy in 2014 stands as a testament to my enduring dedication to nurturing young athletic talent and fostering sports excellence.

My political journey began in 2011 when I formally aligned with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), inspired by its legacy of social justice and progressive governance. Since then, I have tirelessly worked to advance the party’s mission, strengthen grassroots engagement, and uphold the principles of equality and social harmony. As the Zonal Chairman of Tambaram Corporation since 2022, I have had the honor of spearheading developmental projects and addressing civic challenges with strategic foresight and resolute action. My involvement in the Village Club Smoker in Sembakkam reflects my dedication to fostering social cohesion and community spirit.

Shri Jaya Pradeep was born on February 1, 1984, in Sembakkam, a village situated within Tambaram City in the state of Tamil Nadu. He descends from a distinguished lineage of public service, which profoundly influenced his unwavering commitment to societal welfare and civic responsibility. His father, Shri Chandran, and mother, Smt. Girija, instilled in him the fundamental virtues of empathy, integrity, and a deep sense of social accountability, shaping his steadfast dedication to the betterment of society.

Jaya Pradeep commenced his academic journey in the village of Selaiyur, situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He laid the foundation of his education at Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Selaiyur, where he successfully earned his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 2000.

Building upon this strong foundation, he pursued a Diploma in Civil Engineering at Meenakshi Polytechnic College in Pammal, Chennai, graduating in 2004. Driven by a passion for excellence and a desire to deepen his expertise, he further specialized in Civil Engineering, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree from Tagore Engineering College in 2007.

Demonstrating his commitment to academic and professional growth, Jaya Pradeep completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2015 from Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, further broadening his intellectual and professional horizons.

A comprehensive medical camp was successfully organized at the Samaraja Nagar Residents Welfare Association building in Ward 40, Sembakkam Zone, Tambaram Corporation, near Navagraha Vinayagar Temple, East Tambaram. The event was conducted in collaboration with KK Eye Hospital, LK Hospital, and City Union Bank’s Selaiyur branch. The camp offered free specialized tests and treatments for high blood pressure, eye diseases, and general and neurological health issues. The camp was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Jaya Pradeep, Chairman of the Sembakkam Zonal Committee, who highlighted the importance of community health initiatives.

  • On 06.01.2025, the Chairman of the Sembakkam Zone Committee, Jaya Pradeep, inspected the ongoing maintenance work at the Corporation Park on the Main Road of Thirumalai Nagar, Ward 39, within the Sembakkam Zone of the Tambaram Corporation, Chengalpattu District, and inspected the maintenance work being carried out at the Corporation Park located in the 5th Street Park, Bhavanandiyar Road area of ​​Thirumalai Nagar, and ordered the Corporation Engineer and Corporation officials to complete the work within the specified time frame. Sapling of Plants

On 23rd August 2015, on behalf of the Sembakkam Nagar DMK 1st Circle, Jaya Pradeep led an environmental initiative by planting a sapling in every house along the roadside in the Prashanth Colony Extension area of the 1st Ward. On the occasion of Youth Uprising Day on 05th April 2015, a welfare assistance program and the planting of 63 saplings were organized by Jayapradeep Chandran, Secretary of Sembakkam City 1st Ward, Sembakkam City, Kanchipuram North District. The event was held under the leadership of Sembakkam City Council Chairman Mr. S. Chandran and in the presence of Sembakkam City Secretary Mr. A.R.D. Loganathan. District Secretary Mr. T.M. Addresses Sewerage Issue

In the 39th Ward of the Sembakkam Zone of the Tambaram Corporation in Chengalpattu District, residents of Thirumalai Nagar reported a serious issue with the underground sewerage canal inside houses on a particular street, which was completely damaged and causing sewage blockage that led to sewage entering homes.

Chairman of the Sembakkam Zone Committee, Mr. Jaya Pradeep Chandran, promptly visited the affected areas, assessed the situation, and held discussions with the Corporation officials. He urged them to resolve the problem immediately to prevent further inconvenience to the residents.

Commemoration of the 92nd birthday

On behalf of Sembakkam City DMK 1st Ward, in commemoration of the 92nd birthday of Chairman Shri. Muthuvel Karunanidhi, and following the orders of Treasurer, Youth Rising, Shri. Thalapathy, Kanchi North District Secretary Shri. Thirumighu Jaya Pradeep led a sapling plantation drive in the streets and parks of the area. This initiative was conducted under the leadership of Sembakkam City DMK Chairman Hon. S. Chandran and involved the participation of 1st Ward Executives, 1st Ward Women’s Team Executives, and club comrades.

Council Meeting

The Council meeting of Tambaram Corporation, Chengalpattu District, was held on 30th December 2024 under the chairmanship of Corporation Commissioner Mr. Balachander I.A.P. The meeting was attended by Corporation Mayor Mrs. Vasantha Kumari Gamalakannan, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kamaraj, members of the council, and all departmental officials.

During the meeting, Sembakkam Zone Committee Chairman Mr. Jaya Pradeep Chandran urged that public welfare works in the Sembakkam Third Zone under his responsibility should be carried out without delay and completed quickly. He also requested the council to complete the stormwater drainage works and other ongoing corporation works promptly before the rainy season to prevent any inconvenience to the public.

Flood Prevention Measures in Thirumalai Nagar

Following the flood damage caused by last night’s rain near Zion School in the 39th Ward of Thirumalai Nagar under the Sembakkam Zone, Chengalpattu District Collector Mr. Arunraj I.A.C. visited the affected area along with Tambaram Corporation Commissioner Mr. Balachander, Sembakkam Zone Committee Chairman Mr. Jayapradeep Chandran, Corporation Assistant Executive Engineer Mr. Ragupathi, Assistant Engineer Mr. Palani, and the Health Inspector along with sanitation workers.

76th Republic Day celebrations

The 76th Republic Day celebration of the Indian National Congress, attended by the executives of the residential welfare associations covering the areas of Senthil Avenue and Virivu, next to Tambaram, Chengalpattu district, was attended by the special invitees of the President of the Sembakkam Zonal Committee, Hon. Jaya Pradeep Chandran.

Prevention of Flood waters

The low-lying areas of 40th ward Chamarajanagar 7th street and 39th ward Tirumala Nagar, NM Parvathypuram in Sembakkam zone of Tambaram Corporation in Chengalpattu district were inundated due to the heavy rains caused by Cyclone Funchal. Immediately, the Corporation employees went directly to the areas and took action on a war footing to prevent the stagnant rainwater from entering the residences using a large electric motor. On the instructions of the Chairman of Sembakkam Zonal Committee, Shri. Jayapradeep Chandran, the rainwater was released through pipes.

On Tuesday, 03.12.2024, after receiving information that the Forest Department officials had erected a fence and a gate in the Soundarya Nagar area of ​​​​the 40th ward of the Sembakkam zone of the Tambaram Corporation in Chengalpattu district, the Forest Department officials had blocked the road by erecting a fence and a gate in the area belonging to the Forest Department. On Wednesday, 04.12.2024, a new compact vehicle was purchased and distributed to each zone in the five zones of Tambaram Corporation in Chengalpattu district, and a ceremony was held to implement it. On Monday, 16.12.2024, Mr. S.R. Raja inspected the Amma Canteen operating near Kamarajapuram Bus Stand under the Tambaram Corporation area. He inquired about the quality of the food and the attendance record of the Amma Canteen employees. He also inquired about the quality and taste of the food from the general public.
