Janga Krishna Murthy

Janga Krishna Murthy is a Member of the Legislative Council(MLC) elected by MLA’s. He was born on 04-06-1958 to Pedda Veerayya and Veeramma. He completed his Graduation in B.Com from S.K.B.R. Govt. Degree College, Macherla, Andhra University in 1980. He worked as an Assistant in the Mining department in 1984.

He started his political journey with the Telugu Desam Party(TDP). In 1988, He was elected as Sarpanch from his village. He worked as a Trade Union Leader. He joined the Indian National Congress(INC) party. In 1999, He was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) by defeating Yarapathineni Srinivasarao of the TDP party with a margin of 64035 votes. In 2004, He Re-elected as Member of the Legislative Assembly(MLA) from the Congress party.  He was a Member of CGC and also served as TTD Board Member.

He joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party(YSRCP). From 2019-2025, he was elected as a Member of the Legislative Council(MLC) by MLA’s. He was served as Vice-President of the state BC cell.

Recent Activities:

• MLC and Vice President of the state BC cell Janga Krishna Murthy and MLAs Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, and Ambati Rambabu has participated in the Eruvaka program in Mangalagiri constituency, Khaja village.
• Janga Krishna Murthy said hearty congratulations to Sri Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy Garu for being appointed as advisor to AP Govt (Public Affairs).
• MLC, YSRCP State BC Cell President Sri Janga Krishna Murthy Garu presented a memory to Honorable Chief Minister Sri Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy on the occasion of Mahatma Jyotibapule’s 129th death anniversary organized in Tummalapalli Kalakshetra.
