Jampala Srinivas

Jampala Srinivas is an Indian Politician of the BJP and a  District Secretary for Yadadri Bhuvanagiri from Alair Constituency in the Indian state of Telangana.

CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION:

Jampala Srinivas was born to the couple Mr. Jampala Mallesh and Mrs. Jampala Annapurna on the 04th of May 1975 and resided at Bahadurpeta in Alair Mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District in the State of Telangana in India.

In the year 1991, Srinivas obtained his Secondary Board of Education from Zilla Parishad High School located at Naya Bazaar. He completed his Graduation in B. A from Ambedkar Open University in Sultan Bazaar in 1996.

Political Career:

In 1987, an enthusiastic and dedicated individual, Srinivas joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as an Active Member. With a deep sense of commitment to the welfare of society, Srinivas wholeheartedly serves the people and addresses the various issues faced by students.

In 1989, Srinivas joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a student organization in India that works to improve students’ welfare and education. ABVP is one of the largest student organizations in the country and has a presence in various colleges and universities.

By joining ABVP, Srinivas has taken an essential step towards contributing to students’ welfare and the education system’s development. ABVP promotes national integration, cultural values, and social awareness among students. It also provides a platform for students to voice their opinions and concerns on various issues related to education and society.

In 1996, Srinivas embarked on his political journey by joining the Yuva Morcha, a youth wing of a political organization. Driven by his passion for serving the people and his unwavering dedication, Srinivas quickly made a mark within the organization. Recognizing his exceptional commitment and capabilities, he was appointed as the Alair Mandal Vice President.

As the Alair Mandal Vice President, Srinivas took on the responsibility of representing the interests of the local community and ensuring their voices were heard. He actively engaged with the residents, listened to their concerns, and worked tirelessly to address their issues. Srinivas understood the importance of grassroots-level politics and strived to bring about positive changes that would directly impact the lives of the people in the Alair Mandal.

In 2006, Srinivas took a significant step in his political career by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Impressed by his dedication and track record of service to the community, the party recognized Srinivas’s potential and appointed him as the Alair Mandal President.

As the Mandal President for Alair, Srinivas assumed a pivotal role in leading and representing the local BJP unit. He took charge of organizing party activities, mobilizing volunteers, and coordinating efforts to strengthen the party’s presence in the Alair Mandal. Srinivas worked tirelessly to expand the party’s outreach, engaging with residents and effectively communicating the party’s ideology and vision.

In 2017, Srinivas’s remarkable political journey continued as he was appointed as the District Secretary for Yadadri Bhongir. This prestigious position recognized his outstanding leadership abilities and his unwavering commitment to the party’s goals and principles.

As the District Secretary, Srinivas assumed a crucial role in overseeing the BJP’s activities and operations in Yadadri Bhongir. He played a pivotal role in strengthening the party’s presence, organizing campaigns, and mobilizing party members and volunteers to actively engage with the local community.

Srinivas joined the Joint Action Committee (JAC), a collective platform that aimed to unite various organizations and individuals advocating for the cause of Telangana statehood. As an active member of the JAC, Srinivas actively participated in numerous activities and initiatives organized by the committee.

Inspiration:

Srinivas drew inspiration from the teachings and philosophies of Swami Vivekananda, a revered Indian spiritual leader and social reformer. Swami Vivekananda’s ideas and ideals played a significant role in shaping Srinivas’s worldview and his approach to serving society.

Swami Vivekananda, known for his emphasis on selflessness, social service, and spiritual enlightenment, espoused principles of universal brotherhood, harmony, and the upliftment of the marginalized. His teachings resonated with Srinivas and influenced his perspective on addressing societal issues and working for the betterment of the people.

Fought for Farmers:

During Srinivas’s tenure as the Mandal President, he actively fought for the rights and welfare of farmers, particularly on the issue of electricity. Recognizing the crucial role of electricity in agricultural activities, Srinivas passionately advocated for a fair and consistent supply of electricity to farmers in the Mandal.

Srinivas understood that access to uninterrupted electricity was vital for farmers to irrigate their crops, run agricultural machinery, and ensure optimal productivity. He witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by farmers due to frequent power cuts, erratic electricity supply, and high electricity bills. Motivated by a deep sense of empathy and a commitment to addressing their concerns, Srinivas took up the cause of farmers’ rights on the electricity issue.

Participation in Telangana Movement: 

Srinivas was a crucial figure in the Telangana Movement, which sought to create a new state out of the existing Andhra Pradesh in India. he actively participated in various social programs and events, including the Million March, Bike Rallies, and Dharanas, to promote the cause of Telangana statehood.

During the Telangana Movement, Srinivas actively participated in the protests and demonstrations in Alair Mandal. It is alleged that during this period, he was involved in incidents where buses were damaged, and bus windows were broken. It has been reported that two railway cases were registered against Srinivas for his participation in a Rastra Roko protest. In total, he faced 14 issues registered during the Telangana Movement.

As a result of his involvement in these activities, Srinivas faced legal consequences. He was incarcerated for 7 days due to his actions during the movement. It is important to note that the specific details and nature of the cases, as well as any legal outcomes, would require further investigation and access to official records.

During the Telangana Movement, it is reported that Srinivas resorted to sleeping in between trees as a measure to avoid being arrested by law enforcement authorities or individuals who opposed the movement. This act demonstrates his commitment and dedication to the cause, as he sought to protect himself from potential apprehension and continue his involvement in the movement.

Birthday Celebrations of Politiical Leaders:

Kasam Venkateshwarlu, as the State Vice President of the BJP, organized a blood donation camp on his birthday, which is a great initiative to help those in need. Blood donation can save lives and contribute to the well-being of the community.

In addition to the blood donation camp, organizing food donation programs and distributing fruits in hospitals is a commendable effort. Providing nutritious food to patients in hospitals can help in their recovery process and bring them comfort during their stay.

Birth and Death Anniversaries of Freedom Fighters:

from the year 2000, there have been food donation programs and blood donation camps organized on the birthdays and Jayantis (birth anniversaries) of various prominent figures such as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sushma Swaraj, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Jagjivan Rao, Rao Phule, Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and many other freedom fighters. These initiatives show a dedication to commemorating the lives and legacies of these influential individuals while also giving back to society.

Financial Support:

Srinivas actively provides financial support to families affected by marriages and bereavement. He recognizes the importance of standing with those who are facing financial hardships during these significant life events and strives to alleviate their burdens.

In the case of marriages, Srinivas understands that the expenses involved can be overwhelming for families, especially those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. To support such families, he extends financial assistance to cover various aspects of the wedding ceremony, including venue costs, decorations, catering, attire, and other related expenses. 

Blood Donation Camps:

The blood donation camps organized by Srinivas on these special occasions provide a valuable opportunity for individuals to contribute to society by donating blood. By collaborating with healthcare organizations and raising awareness about the importance of blood donation, he helps ensure a steady supply of this life-saving resource for those in need.

Celebrations in orphanages:

Celebrating birthdays in orphanages demonstrates Srinivas compassion and commitment to the well-being of underprivileged children. By organizing special events, distributing gifts, and spending quality time with the children, he aims to bring smiles to their faces and create memorable experiences that make them feel loved and valued.

Service to People:

Srinivas demonstrated his dedication to helping people in need by volunteering as a driver for ambulances. His commitment to serving the community extended beyond his role in political activism, as he recognized the importance of providing immediate assistance and support to those requiring medical care.

By taking on the responsibility of an ambulance driver, Srinivas played a vital role in ensuring that patients could access timely medical attention and reach healthcare facilities swiftly and safely. This selfless act not only helped individuals in critical situations but also contributed to the overall well-being of the community.

Donation for Temples:

Srinivas recognizes the cultural and religious significance of temples in our society. As a firm believer in preserving our cultural heritage, he actively promotes and encourages donations for temples. Donations for temples play a crucial role in the maintenance, preservation, and development of these sacred places. They contribute to the upkeep of the temple premises, the conduct of religious ceremonies, and the provision of necessary facilities for devotees. 

Party Activities:

• During the Telangana Movement, when Prof. Kodandaram, a prominent leader and convenor of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), was arrested in Janagam, Srinivas was reportedly stopped in Alair. It is suggested that Srinivas faced obstacles or intervention from authorities or opposing forces while attempting to proceed with his participation in the movement.
• Srinivas engage in political campaigns during elections to promote their candidates and policies. This includes organizing rallies, door-to-door canvassing, distributing campaign materials, and utilizing media channels for advertising.
• Srinivas rely on funds to support their activities and campaigns. They organize fundraising events, seek donations from supporters, and engage in various financial strategies to sustain their operations.
• Srinivas formulate and develop policies on various issues affecting society. They conduct research, consult with experts, and engage in internal discussions to create comprehensive policy platforms that align with their ideology and objectives.
• Srinivas actively seek to increase their membership base. They organize membership drives, recruit new members, and provide avenues for individuals to become actively involved in party activities.

Covid Activities:

• Recognizing the importance of nutritious food during the pandemic, Srinivas organized the distribution of vegetables to vulnerable families. 
• To combat the spread of the virus, Srinivas took the initiative to distribute masks to the community. By providing protective masks, he aimed to promote public health and raise awareness about the importance of wearing masks as a preventive measure.
• Understanding the financial hardships faced by many during the pandemic, Srinivas organized the distribution of groceries to families in need. 
• As personal hygiene played a crucial role in preventing the spread of COVID-19, Srinivas distributed sanitizers to individuals and communities.
• Srinivas extended his support and appreciation to frontline workers, such as healthcare professionals and essential service providers. He organized initiatives to provide them with personal protective equipment (PPE), refreshments, and other essential items to express gratitude for their tireless efforts in combating the pandemic.
• Srinivas actively participated in awareness campaigns related to COVID-19. Through various mediums such as social media, public gatherings, and local community engagements, he disseminated accurate information, precautionary measures, and guidelines provided by health authorities, ensuring that the community was well-informed and equipped to protect themselves and others.
• Understanding that the pandemic brought unforeseen challenges and emergencies, Srinivas established channels to provide emergency assistance to individuals and families facing hardships. 
• Srinivas collaborated with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local community organizations to amplify the impact of his COVID-related activities. By leveraging existing networks and resources, he ensured a wider reach and more effective distribution of essential supplies and support to those in need.
